I was on a stroll with friends at the Leo J Ryan Park right across the street from T-Pumps. There aren't any locations near me, so this was my chance to finally give it a go for the first time! Before reaching the register, there was a dispenser of tea concoctions for anyone to sample. So if you are indecisive on what to order, you may discover a new favorite! I'm sad I have to post this. I really liked this place and it was go to for my family and friends and everyone was so friendly. Unfortunately me and my family had a bad experience. We all went at different times during the day to this location. My sister went with her friends during the day and me and ny sister went towards the everting. We all ordered various drinks, with boba and without boba, with milk and without milk. We all got sick and had various stomach problems. We all thought it might have been the milk like it had gone bad or something but that wasn't the case. I tried to calling the store not to complain but to let them know that something might be wrong with either their syrups or boba. I left a voicemail and never heard back. I was disappointed because I really like this place. I went back again to give the place a second chance because I've never had a bad experience before this one. I love, love, love tpumps for their boba! It's the best boba I've ever had. No other place can make boba as soft, sweet, and chewy as tpumps does. They get the perfect balance of everything and it's fresh, most importantly. A lot of boba shops make their boba in a giant batch first thing in the morning before they open, and use that batch throughout the day. So by the time you get your drink (I'm going to bet you don't get boba in the morning, but I won't judge if you do, haha) - by the time you get your drink, the boba is no longer fresh. But tpumps keeps making boba continually throughout the day. And you can really tell in the way it tastes. It's amazing! Another thing I really like is that the tea is not bitter. At a lot of other boba places, you can taste the tea really strongly, but it's bitter. Tpumps is kind of the opposite spectrum; you can't taste the tea, but at least it's not bitter. So if you would rather taste the tea, then go really light on the syrup - that is usually what masks the flavor of the tea. Something else that makes tpumps really special is the super great variety of flavors you can get. Whatever you are in the mood for, whether refreshing or cozy or creamy or fruity, tpumps has it. Ever since T-Pumps moved out of San Mateo, no one wants to make the trek to Foster City. One day we finally did. This location is like all other T-Pumps: There is usually a line. It's a bit slow and one cashier only. I always ask myself if waiting for 20 minutes for boba is really worth it. The answer is probably no, so I go all out and get the pumpbo (jumbo) to try to justify it. T-pumps is just okay to me and now, I'm desensitized by the wonder of combining the flavors. The tea and honey boba are not always consistent in quality as well. They have come out with more random flavors that I haven't tried like almond roca or cookie dough. The drink was pretty good, boba was nice and chewy but still soft, and I think less sweet was perfect (if not a little too sweet), so probably get that instead of regular sugar. Dirty, dirty, dirty. Every time I visit the floors are black with filth and covered in wrappers, trash, and outside debris. The employees are too busy talking to one another and take ages to make the drinks even when they're not busy. The floors were still dirty and the employees hardly acknowledged any customers in line. This is the same Tpumps that closed in San Mateo. I was talking to one of the emplyees last time I was here and she mentioned that the owner wants to move back to their original location. Not sure if it will happen. I like this location better because it doesn't get crazy with the long line that runs out the door like it did when they were in San Mateo. This place is hands down my favorite boba place. I don't live in Foster City anymore but any time I'm back in the area I try to go as often as I can, sometimes once or twice every day. They have a HUGE menu, with way more flavors than any other boba place. There's some very interesting flavors such as cookie dough, almond roca, and salted caramel. You also can combine as many flavors as you want with each other in one drink so the combinations to try are really endless. They offer both milk and non-milk options with black or green tea. I really enjoy both. My usual go-tos are almond milk tea or strawberry mango tea but every single flavor here is good. It just depends on your personal taste. The teas here run VERY sweet, which I personally love because I have a huge sweet tooth. If you don't love sweetness make sure to ask for your drink less sweet. They do have an extra sweet option but the drinks are already so sweet if you love sugar like me, the regular sweetness is probably fine. They always have free samples with interesting flavor combinations that you should definitely try when you go. I hate leaving angry reviews. Typically, this place is up to par with great customer service, but today I was upset with the slow service. It took 25 minutes to get my drink. 25 minutes and I was first in line. I watched every one behind me leave COME and leave. When I inquired about it, they said my drink was taken by someone else. Fair enough. I saw the lady behind me get the drink, mistakes happen. But then I had to wait another TEN minutes for the new drink to be made after that. Only when I asked for my money back so I could just leave did they make the drink. At that point I would've just preferred a refund. Prolly one of my favorite boba spots out here in the peninsula. I actually loved their previous location in dtsm looking like a lil post office but you what can you do. They have now relocated to foster city right in the plaza right across the water. Happy now since it right by work and easy for me to get to, for any time I need my boba fix on! Inside this location is very similar to the original. They have samples of their special flavor of the day with drinks that are also ready to go without any toppings in the small fridge right in front of the cashier. They have a list of their customer favorites which I usually get since it's easy to chose from instead of building my own drink lol but feel free to make your own drink... it may get touch since there is about over 1000 different choices you could possibly make. You also get the option of making it a regular tea or a milk tea! Good luck on making your own drink or you can be simple like me and chose one of the favorites! AVOID this place. They have the most incompetent employees. Apparently the owner allows them to have an option and not do their job and the items that are offered on the menu. Upon trying to order my drink the cashier asked an employee who seemed to have an attitude problem if they are "blending drinks today?" Why is it an option? It is on the menu... Tea flavor wasn't particularly strong in either of the drinks I had, and the fruit / floral flavors felt fake. Focus was on sugar, which isn't my focus when drinking boba. Milk level was fine, but didn't feel particularly milky. Green apple lychee green tea (no milk) at 100% sugar with honey boba: The aftertaste of apple and lychee came through, but sugar-wise this seems to be on the high end of places that do 100% sweetness. Bf thought the flavor was okay but didn't love it. I think it would be good at 25% sugar, but I'm like that with everything. Rose vanilla green milk tea at 25% sugar with honey boba: If you're a rose flavor lover, this is a pass. The vanilla(?) flavor covers up both the rose and the green tea. The "vanilla" flavor is rather generic and just tastes like sugar. The 25% sugar was much too sweet for me (felt like 75% at other spots). The boba was too soft for my liking and was clumped up in spots (so that they clogged up my straw at one point). The boba was sweetened, but it didn't particularly feel like it was honey. Texture was not chewy enough (you could easily chew all the way through). I probably won't be back to try out the other flavors. 3/5 for me (since I think most boba spots are average). read more

I like the taste, but they should clarify how the online order works. First time when I ordered, they put my order on the "take out" corner at front which was expected, so it was smooth. But for the second time, somehow they kept mine in their fridge. I ordered online just a moment before I came to the store, and kept waiting for mine to be ready on the corner, which never happened. I wanted to call the waiter but he was too busy to handle a long line and I ended up in being in the line too. I spent 50 mins just in front of the shop by ordering online, it looks they have higher priority for people in line. I would go HappyLemon or Quickly next time. HappyLemon has better stable waiting system and Quickly does not have a long line to wait. read more

Ive gone here for years, the drinks used to be really good but for a couple years already they have been awful. The drink never has even flavor it taste watered down the boba has no flavor.
