Quick take: fast and efficient I haven't had Quickly in a really long time. I was in the area and decided to order a Taro Milk Tee w/boba and popcorn chicken. The size of the drink was perfect. The popcorn chicken use to be a smaller portion. I got a big bucket of popcorn chicken. Very crispy and got the seasonings in pre-packed to go containers. So I asked the person on charge if I was able to order with him because they been taking their sweet time to place the order and he was very polite to accepted. Oooof my childhood wrapped up in a boba store. I grew up drinking Quicklys several times a week in my teens (bittersweet when the Millbrae location shut down). I love almond milk tea ($4.99) but it's almost impossible to find at typical boba shops. It's always a huge surprise whenever I come across one that offers this drink. Fortunately, Quickly has always had almond milk tea on the menu. I just didn't realize that there were still locations near me! Some of the prices have doubled/tripled since my teen years, but the quality has remained the same. Not gonna lie, I miss the 99 cent drink options! The menu still looks as crazy as ever, but I love it. The Foster City location was super clean and the cashier was very nice. They do have chewy milk tea, but the flavor of their tea isn't as strong as I would have liked. Think of an Asian 7-11 and you can get a sense of the place. It serves a variety of different Taiwanese foods, snacks, and your typical assortment of bubble tea, and other Asian drinks. The menu can look quite intimidating. To orient you, the drinks are on the left and the food options are on the right. Popcorn Chicken (3.5/5): Super generous portions of super crispy chicken. The batter itself could have used a bit more seasoning, but they do give you two different powders that you can dip the chicken. Egg Puffs (2/5): Tried the taro filling. This was a bit disappointing as the batter tasted much more like a pancake than the typical fluffy/bouncy egg batter. The taro itself was also too mild in flavor and could barely notice it was there. The ones at Meet Fresh in Downtown San Mateo are a lot better. Peach Slush (5/5): This was super refreshing and had great fruity flavors. We got it at 50% and I thought this was perfect. I would say that this is more of a peach drink with ice rather than a true slushy. Overall, Quickly is a good convenient place to grab some Asian snacks and bubble tea. You can likely find better options for each item at other places, however, if you are willing to drive around. I'd likely come back to try their different drinks as they have flavors I haven't seen at other places (e.g. Yakult), but would really only get the food if I was hungry and didn't want to bother going some place else. read more

The so-called "taro egg puff" did not have taro in it, so I asked someone working at this Quickly location if there is supposed to be taro within it. That person said there is no taro in it but that there is taro powder on it. However, there was almost no taro powder on it. There were perhaps a few dot-sized specks of powder, which does not really make it a "taro egg puff;" it is really akin to just a plain flavored egg puff that accidentally got an inconsequential, negligible amount of taro powder on it. But really, it would have made sense for the egg puff itself to be made of taro, which is what I had originally thought it was supposed to be. This was a disappointing experience. It seems the taro egg puff was just false advertising on the flavor menu posted on this Quickly's wall. read more

i dont really come here for drinks since there are so many high end artisan boba places out there now and quickly is still on the cheaper side but i do come for the snacks. the popcorn chicken, eggrolls, calamari are all delicious. they give so much chicken i can never finish it! i love the grey powder they give. not exactly sure what it is though. the spicy powder is a bit much for me. the chicken wings are just okay and id pass on those. the matcha waffle was also a good one to try. chewy and flavorful. read more

Subpar service :( My friend ordered the bubble milk tea and it was $1.something. I got the same thing and was asked if I wanted bubbles. Confused, I said yes, of course, it's bubble milk tea. And then I paid a dollar more for the same thing! Still, I'm a fan of Quickly for the nostalgia and price. Milk tea is your typical creamy and sweet milk tea from Quickly. It's not boba guys with their straus creamery milk, but it does the job when you have a sudden boba craving. Boba isn't as chewy as I'd like, but also acceptable. This is the largest container of popcorn chicken you'll ever get. For $5.99 it's a mega deal, although I still prefer the flavors of Shihlin's popcorn chicken. Again though, the comparison is not fair. Overall, Quickly is Quickly, and you get what you pay for. Came here yesterday because my boyfriend and I were craving some popcorn chicken. We also ordered a jasmine green tea and found out it was only $1.50! The tea wasn't spectacular or mind blowing, but it did have a very strong floral scent and taste. For $1.50, that's a pretty darn good price, so I can't complain much. Yes, it's not as trendy as some of these other newer places but the service and beverages and food items are just as good.
