His knowledge of hot water heaters was no less than what you'd expect an astronaut to know about their spaceship. But what impressed me even more was his ability to explain everything. He didn't just tell me what was wrong--he took the time to understand my hester's situation, explain how my current unit fit into my home, what a repair would actually accomplish, and how that compared to replacing it. I walked away anctually understanding my options instead of just being handed a bill. Beyond that, he was just a genuinely good person to have in the house. He was great with my kids, instantly won over my cat (and even shared photos of his own (hey Dempsey)), and made what could have been a stressful service call feel easy. What an absolute joke of a company! Our water heater went out. Called T R Miller and they sent someone out. Milked me for a hour & a half. Told me that the whole water heater would have to be replaced. I'm not that mechanical, but I knew that wasn't the problem. Called another company & they ordered a part & fixed it in half an hour. My nephew called for service on. Gas pipe. He also asked about the battery backup sump pump alarm was going off. My nephew is new to home ownership as my brother just died. Nephew knows nothing about any of this stuff. He was told the pump was bad. He replaced it and charged $2300. Problem is the complete system was just replaced a few weeks ago. My nephew was simply relying on what he thought was a professional. Even if the brand new system was broken it had a warranty but the serviceman saw a chance to make a buck. They then quoted over $13000 for a new furnace for a 2000 sq ft home. read more

I had a small leak coming from an ice maker line. TR Miller came out and fixed the problem very quickly. I had to do everything remotely and other than opening the front door, they were able to accommodate me and explained everything over the phone. I have used them for the past five years for everything HVAC and plumbing related and they are pretty good. A little pricey, but they come out when you need them, and the quality is usually pretty high. The service guys are always very polite and well spoken. Andrew S. came out to finish up a warranty job today. He ended up recommending some maintenance work to boost performance of our AC unit. I appreciated that he showed me the "before" and "after" readings so I could see that the maintenance had the intended effect. I also appreciated that he took the time to review our file before he headed out to our home. The last tech here recommended service on our boiler, which Andrew knew he wasn't qualified to handle, so the office called back to verify that they weren't supposed to have it on today's ticket. Alex showed up on time as scheduled for the appointment. I've used TR Miller before and I've always been impressed about their scheduling communication and on time service. Alex was dressed professionally and was obviously trained well while he was there. He fixed another small issue with our furnace that was unrelated to the AC repair and helped us out for essentially no charge. I run a service industry company and I'm always jealous of how well the in the technology that they use. It's very very difficult to get service consistency and it requires a tremendous amount of training time and investment. My only issue is today's AC units and furnaces tend to break at a higher rate than units in the past. It just doesn't seem like their usable lifetime is as much as it used to be. read more

I've used TR Miller a few times. I was on the "VIP " program which has been a WASTE of 19 bucks a month, you don't get anything out of it! All the techs have been nice except when you don't want to have them do a job lol! I paid $788 because my water heater was making noise. Guess what it still does! Actually never stopped even after they "fixed" it! They sent another tech out and they'll fix it for another 300 bucks! I will NEVER use them again. I also have asked numerous times to stop charging me for the VIP program. I literally need to call them once again! Stay FAR away from this company. They create more problems to keep coming out and make more money! read more
