Lisa and her team have serviced my home and my business for years. I have recieved nothing but top notch service every time. They always remember me and even ask about my kids! The first time I hired them was almost 7 years ago. I needed them to increase the air flow in my dance studio to meet industry standards. Although they were a little confused at first, Lisa did research to find out exactly what needed to be done. I was so impressed by the time she took to research. And even then it was a less than $100 fix. I really appreciated their honesty. Next I saw their information on the furnace of the Bikrim Yoga studio I attend. I was surprised that they were so well known! I had another company come into my home when my furnace "according to him". Needed to be replaced. I remembered my friends at Nortek and called them out. They did a clean and check for free for me and were able to do another fix that kept my 15 year old furnace running perfectly. I recommend this company so much. They have done duct cleaning when I moved into a house that had cats from the previous owner (we have allergies), and come out at all hours of the day or night to help with my business heating system (I had an awful landlord that did nothing). And as far as the negative comment made above, It makes me sad, but I betcha it was posted by a competitor. Kudos to Nortek. I picked them because I now live in Naperville and Northern Weathermakers does not service this area. I recently married and moved in and knew the furnace was old, but it worked fine. I let it go for a year. I knew the furnace needed to be checked and cleaned because my wife said it hasn't been in 15 years. I called them along with three others. They were by far the easiest to talk to and most accommodating of all of the choices. Upon arriving, it took maybe 5 minutes for him to realize that this furnace does not need to be cleaned, but replaced. He said it was 30 years old and pointed out every flaw there was. I pushed him a bit knowing we were going to moving in a year. But down deep knowing what he showed me, there isn't an inspector that would have passed this furnace to sell the home. The serviceman was friendly, informative and to the point. He gave me a great deal on a furnace and a humidifier and was installed within two days. I think the whole installation took three hours. I was a bit shocked at the reasonable price and not one upsell during the furnace check. Customer service called recently to see how everything was, which reminded me to let people know that if you don't have HVAC company yet look no further. Thumbs up to you guys. read more

HONEST PEOPLE TO DO BUSINESS WITH! We had a problem with our furnace working properly during the cold weather. My wife called a few companies and the repair estimates were from $400 to an entirely new HVAC system. I happen to see a Nortek truck driving down the street and I got the number and called. They were friendly and professional on the phone. They were able to send someone out within a couple hours. Upon arrival their technician treated our house like his own and took great care to not create a mess. The tech assessed the problem and said it required a part that was $49 plus installation so the bill was just over $100. I talked with the tech the entire time he was there. He was very professional and aswered all my questions. I even asked him about the other estimates that I recieved and the one estimate was charging for parts that my furnace didnt even have. When he was finished he cleaned up and left the area better than when he arrived. I was so impressed with them I purchased a maintenance plan for my HVAC system. It is so hard to find a company you can trust these days. NORTEK is a company to trust. They will be my HVAC people from now on. read more

I just had Nortek out at my home this summer to fix my air conditioner. I came across their name on the internet and thought I would give them a shot based upon their highly rated reviews. I can rest assured knowing I made the right choice. The office staff were extremely kind when getting me scheduled for an appointment. My service guy was out the next day and was on time. He was extremely courteous and knowledgeable, explaining to me why my air conditioner wasn't cooling my home. He got it fixed and was on his way, and I had a cool home again! I thought I was done with Nortek until a woman called me a few days later to check up on how my air conditioner was working and to make sure that I was satisfied with my service guy. I told her how satisfied I was and she actually told me she was very happy to hear my compliments as she was the owner. It really meant a lot to me, as a customer, knowing that the company's owner was following up with me to make sure that I was happy with their service. My furnace went out during one of the coldest days this winter. I called up Nortek and they made the scheduling process so very quick and easy, and I was getting an appointment time that fit into MY schedule. They also asked for my email to send me an eResume of the technician they had scheduled to come to my home, something I've never seen another company do. It was comforting to know who was coming to my home and what their credentials were before even arriving. When the technician arrived at my home, he was very courteous and even put booties on his boots not to track any of the slush in from outside. After inspecting my unit, the technician told me what the problem was and gave me an estimate of the repair, which I had to authorize for him to continue. I greatly appreciated this over someone who just makes the repair without my permission! My furnace is now running great. Thank you so much for all the help Nortek! You can feel they care about their jobs and your comfort from the moment they walk in the door. They really take the time to make sure you know what service you need and have competitive pricing. Doug from Nortek came out on 3/4/14. He was so nice and professional and was patient in explaining every question that we asked (we had a lot of questions) :) Just listening to the furnace he knew it was the flame sensor that needed to be replaced. Also, our programmable thermostat wasn't working and he resolved the problem. He figured out that it was broken, we couldn't override the program that was pre-programed in there. We have a brand new thermostat and feeling very comfortable with the temp in our home. It's quiet and runs beautifully! Ron and his Tech helper came to my home to repair my Furnace . The Flame was not igniting properly so he ordered the part and came back at a later date . As I paid one deducible NOT two. While there I had him replace the Thermostat (8 yrs old Cheap) so it was Hardwired not just Battery operated . In some new Thermostats there's a 5 min delay so when u open the front door it won't Kick On so the temps can adjust then turn the furnace on IF needed .With his new proper placement of it I can use All doors of my house and there are no more Cold Rooms . Which makes the !st floor much more livable . I hope it works the same for the AC which I will have them check in June . The Right Price too. CHEERs read more

Replacing a furnace is never a fun thing, but must be done when it reaches the end of its life. I contacted 2 firms, and decided to go with the people at Nortek. Called Nortek Environmental based on reviews and I'm sure glad i did. Super professional . They sent out Dave who diagnosed my problem. As it turned out, the other HVAC guys did a substandard job which could have been a fire hazard to the building.
