While I was in ABQ for a funeral last weekend, I was able to meet with a former colleague at our favorite place to get a cider! She introduced me to the blood orange cider, which the only and favorite cider I can drink. I don't drink beer and rarely drink ciders (when forced) but this one I wish they would sell in Texas, but they don't. We bought some cans that I was able to bring back in my luggage for a few extra days of enjoying it while here. Tractor used to be a lot more fun but have found myself choosing other breweries lately. This particular location doesn't seem to have much patrons anymore. All the times I've gone, it's really dead so we don't stay long. Some highlights are that I actually took a mixology class here back in June which was pretty awesome and also for Halloween, they had a fun selection of seasonal offerings! I had a candy apple cauldron cocktail thing and it was delicious! Also we happened upon one afternoon while the Kentucky derby was being broadcast and all the staff were dressed up and so were the patrons. It was really random but fun nonetheless Tractor used to be a staple when choosing somewhere to hang out but with the recent openings of other venues, it's more like a precursor to your actual venue of choice and not the main venue of choice. read more

Tractor Brewing is well loved for their beer and cider but did you know they also have really amazing cocktails? Or if you're like me and not currently drinking alcohol, they have some great mocktail options. I came for a young professional group networking event and was so excited to try one of their spring specialties. I went with the flirty bee's knees which was quite tart, but really good, and had a nice kick of honey. They have a good amount of patio seating. They have added over the years and inside is very nice as well. They recently welcomed taste of love to this location and they are handling the food options. I highly recommend giving them both a try. The only downside is, of course, parking is limited but there's plenty of street parking in the area. read more

This is a great brewery with great bands!! The selection of beers, ciders and cocktails are phenomenal. Be aware that the website is not always accurate. They had a band listed to start at 7:00 but they didn't start until 8:00. They advertised a food truck but it was not there. I'm not usually someone who frequents bars, but after going to this bar, I might consider becoming a barfly. In the last month, I've been twice - once for a Beetlejuice themed bellydance show, and tonight for the "Before I Die" Death Festival with a panel of Death Doulas. What a fun and eclectic atmosphere!! I love places that not only host fun events but also thought provoking events that stimulate conversation. To top it off, the seasonal margaritas are amazing! I had a cinnamon Margarita and it was so tasty, everyone else at the table ordered one too. I think I found my new hangout! read more

Stopped in this afternoon to check out the spring cocktail menu. Everything on the menu sounds wonderful, and I decided to try the Wildflower Margarita, made with Tractor's violet-infused agave spirits, lavender, lime, agave syrup, orange bitters, and wildflower bitters, with a raw sugar rim. Oh, my, this is good! Subtle floral flavors and a nice kick from the agave spirits. And check out how pretty it is! You're sure to find something you like here. Next time I'll try the strawberry lemonade...or maybe the grapefruit gimlet...or the bee's knees...so many choices! read more

After one visit with five friends, I am anxious to go back. Why? It's just a casual relaxed place, with a good selection of beer and karaoke on Tuesdays with a taco truck on-site. I don't ask for too much when it comes to breweries, just good beer selections, a clean place, nice servers, reasonable prices. This place fills that brief. Insights: The parking lot is small, but there is also parking on the side street. There is a patio outside the taproom. The taproom itself is not tiny but not large either. Beers range in price from I think about $3.50 and up ... ask the servers. Beers are listed behind the bar counter with ABV and IBU ratings - THANKS! There is an interesting assortment of art posters on the walls in the space between the bathrooms and the taproom. That's it in a nutshell. It's a nice place with a cool vibe. read more

This is my favorite of all the Tractor locations. The place is so cute and I love the cardboard bird hung above. There is no food but they do have different food trucks parked outside for a food option. My husband love the beers and I go for the spirits. The bartenders always make a really good drink here and they are always so unique. I also like that they are seasonal to switch things up. The first drink was a Biscochito Old Fashion. It tasted like an old fashion with a hint of cinnamon and very good. The next was an Earl Grey Lady. This was my favorite of the whole evening. It wasn't sweet but also not bitter. It was just a good combo that I wasn't expecting. I was very surprised about this drink. The beer is called Farmer's Tan and is a red. Beer isn't something I drink anymore but my husband agrees it's not all that bitter. read more

Great brewery! The ambiance is very casual, the space is a bit crowded compared to other breweries in the area but trust when I say... Super Chill! They have a small area with tables outside which during cold weather isn't the most favorable, but the beer does fill you with that fuzzy bubbly warm feeling that makes you forget all about it. My favorite thing and what did it for me was their delicious ciders. Honestly haven't had a good cider in awhile. The Blood Orange Cider was bittersweet with hints of citrus was amazing. The Berry Cider here in my opinion is a must try because in other places it's either to bitter or off balance with the flavors ( so hint.. try it here) Lastly the taquitos with the salsa are soooooooo Good (FYI THEIR SUPER THIN THOUGH) for $6. Came here on a Monday night (off work for New Years) and had a few of their winter cocktails with my sister....Wow am I impressed. I started with the Piñon Irish coffee (Whiskey, simple syrup, piñon coffee, heavy cream) and this was literally one of the best drinks ever in the history of the world- the coffee is warm, nutty, and is made fresh, and the heavy cream head is decadent. Emily started with the Red Agave (red chile tequila, chocolate bitters, grapefruit cordial) and was delighted with the sweet heat that the drink provided - definitely spicy enough for her! Although- the lemon peel looked old, brown, and looked sad.... definitely not an appetizing garnish. For the second round, I got the Apricot Afterthought (apricot preserves, orgeat, lemon juice... this traditionally comes with gin, but I subbed for apple whiskey) which was juicy and a perfect mix of sweet and tart. The orgeat made the cocktail smell amazing and adds another layer... almost like marzipan. Emily got the Cold Front (agave blanco, lime juice, simple syrup, orange bitters, blackberry purée) which was tart without being sour... she says it would be better with gin, but loves it anyway! Don't forget about the food menu - chips and salsa is always a must, but the pretzel with homemade chile beer cheese is perfect for these cold winter nights. read more

Tractor Brewing Company has created a great way to keep both customers and staff safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to also give customers a way to obtain tasty, local craft beer, cider, and other types of alcohol during this time. My husband and I ordered some beer, cider, and a bottle of their house-made bourbon. All delicious! We ordered online, which was really easy. Pick-up was also easy. I parked, showed my ID through the door, and was able to pick up the order from a table entirely contactless. As for their products, we already enjoyed their beers and ciders before all this (such as their milk stout). For this particular order, however, we got some Haymaker Honey Wheat beer, Blood Orange cider, and their bourbon as I already mentioned. The beer is tasty! Very refreshing and crisp for these hot days. I am not the biggest cider fan compared with my husband, but their blood orange cider is also very delicious and refreshing. I, however, am a bourbon lover, and I definitely love their bourbon! I always drink my bourbon neat. I find their bourbon rich, sweet, and enjoyable to sip. There's an interesting taste to it that reminds me of some kind of fruit. I put all my eggs in one basket for NYE and went to this place. I, apparently, got "cut off" through guilt by association. I had one drink, but because one girl in my group was inebriated, my group of four was cut off. I am a 48 year old women, and being cut off, on NYE, via "guilt by association", is infuriating. Especially, when it's by a twenty-something bar tender that I can run circles around. Thank God I don't live near this bar! I do not recommend. read more

Issue I have with this place is this MC dropped about 15 F-bombs with a number of children sitting right in front of him. An Arizona friend sent us some beers from here, so we knew we definitely wanted to stop in during our very brief time in ABQ. I don't know how we determined what location to come to, but I think it had more to do with meeting up with a former boss and being closer to here. I LOVED IT! First, beers aplenty. I knew we couldn't stay too long, as we were meeting up with the aforementioned former boss and her family for dinner later that day, so I had to reel it in and really decide what sounded good. The problem is, they also have a fair amount of ciders and the majority of their menu sounded good. Naturally, we stayed longer than we meant to. No ragrets, not even a single beer. Bartender was cool. Not overly friendly, but attentive and patient enough, because at the end when I was buying brewery gear, I kept going back and forth. They have an outdoor area, pretty sure retractable doors and their bathrooms were hands down some of my favorite, ever! Eventually a food truck rolled up and the atmosphere was perfect. Next time we go back, we'll spend more time in ABQ, which means a return trip to Tractor! read more

Walking in, me and my sister noticed one of the bartenders greet people and cheeringly making small talk. We sit down and the same bartender greets us with "Y'all got your I.D.s?" with an funky attitude. Don't understand why (not the I.D. part but the attitude and lack of customer service part). I replied with "Also, hi..." I can only assume it was because we were the only ppl of color. You know when you know. We were visiting Albuquerque with a $500 budget. Only spent money on a single beer flight, costing less than $8 because of this balding jerkoff. The rest of Albuquerque treated us pretty well, though, and we reciprocated in kind. My friend and I were watching Breaking Bad episode 5 and 6 of season 3. I highly recommend the pecan ale and the buque turkey with green chili and guacamole. The pecan ale has a nice con flavor to it real clean flavor. Do you want to see Breaking Bad it is showing here at Tractor Brewing on 4th Street every Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. employees are usually helpful. Breaking Bad is showing on a projection screen. This used to be my favorite joint, but it had been in decline for years. Saturday they held a Bees and Seeds event. We arrived before it got started but almost all the seats were blocked off saying reserved and most of the other seats had been removed for vendors. We claimed a booth and part way through our first beer we were told that this area was reserved for a vendor and we would have to vacate. By that time there were no spots open (except in the reserved section) so we told the bartender what happened, paid our tab and left. I'm really sick of Tractor being focused on events at the expense of their own beer and atmosphere. read more
