Visited Palmer's last night with my sister and her boyfriend, we had an amazing time! The outside has a hole in the wall atmosphere, and inside is cozy and not too loud which makes it perfect for a date night! The bartender/our server gave great service and was running all of front of house by himself! He did a wonderful job on drinks as well, and even came up with a few fun off-menu cocktails which made for a unique experience!!! The food is a 10/10, we split the chicken nuggets, fries, and fried shrimp between the three of us and even had food to take home. Everything was delicious, be sure to try their sauces to dip everything and their spicy pickles! Definitely will be recommending and returning on my future visits to Albuquerque! read more

Stopped by for Sunday lunch since the Facebook food postings had looked so delicious. Did not disappoint. Hubby had the green Chile cheeseburger. it came out perfectly prepared and steaming hot. I had the poke cucumber cups which was the special and it was delicious. The chef brought out some loaded hash browns for us to try and again, delicious. Throw an over easy egg on top and it would have been a great meal. I had a Mexican Lager which surpassed my favorite Mexican Lager in taste. We will definitely be back and look forward to what they have in store for the Old Town location. . read more

Can't give a full review because I only went in for a beer. It was a sleepy Tuesday night and it was karaoke. Very nice bartender actually excellent service and great conversation. He let me sample some of the interesting vodka and gin that they sell. I just had a beer, but it was karaoke night and a bit creepy vibe for a Tuesday. Have seen better. Didn't try the food so again can't offer a full review. The beer was very tasty though. read more

How this place eluded us for over five years is beyond me, but we have found it! And, we are happy! Palmer and Left turn Distillery are sister stores under one roof! Which in and of itself is an amazing concept! It's located in an unassuming location off of Candelaria and Gibson. (Why there are a bunch of breweries in this area is a question for another day?!) When you pull up, don't expect glitz and glamor... but when you walk in... you feel the "flavor" of the space. The founder of the place is a former skateboarder and that comes out in the decor! The room is filled with skateboard decks, Star Wars and comic images... so immediately this is my kind of place! The music was rock/metal, and it set the tone perfectly! As we walked in were greeted immediately, and shown to our seats! The wait person was amazing! She was not only super knowledgeable but she was also super cool and funny! I wish I would have got her name, but in our return visits, we will get to that point! The beer and cider me I was extensive, but was really impressive was the cocktail list from the distillery side! The beers were good! I tried the MWA-which is a malt liquor beer (yes! Like a Mickey's but better!), the pool session pale (which was neutral), and the cockness monster ( which was good but you gotta be in the mood for that aged barrel taste). My wife sampled a few of the cocktails! She had the cucumber cooler and a Bloody Mary, and all were pretty, and all were amazingly good! We had eaten a few hours before but decided to try the in house food joint called the "the kitchen"! We had the NM fries ( which you will find under the "healthier fare" LOL) and these are freshly fried and seasoned chiccherones!! We all so had some seasoned fries.... for some simple items, they were really good!! All in all, I think we found a diamond in the industrial district! We will be back! Flock people!!! read more

Without a doubt one of the BEST local Brewery and Cider house in Albuquerque! I first visited Palmer's back in 2015 when he was just getting started. Seeing this place expand and become such a chill hangout for friends and family has been amazing experience. From local skateboard premieres, to their monthly Sunday bloody mary, or just having lunch with a friend there is something here for anyone! This time I ordered a spicy bloody mary with greenchile vodka. One of my favorite thing about Palmer's is all the house made vodkas. They distill their own and the selections is endless! I also ordered shrimp ceviche with chips, and an order of the hot bone in wings! A group of friends and I shared and we loved every single bite! If you're thinking about going to Palmer brewery I would advise you do not go into Palmer brewery. Because there is one bartender in there name Dan that is very rude to the customers. But they do brew a good beer there. I went in there tonight with a group of people and Dan came up to take our orders and he was very rude to us. I have never experienced rudeness like that at a restaurant or a bar. read more

Left Turn Distilling has expanded operation to brew beer (and eventually cider). Their tasting room now includes a snazzy bar and two of their own brews as well as a handful of guest taps from local breweries. The owner is a hoot - chat with him if you have a chance. Trivia on Thursday nights at 7pm. Usually a food truck stops by on the weekends for some beer sponge sustenance too. Came for Geeks who Drink and it was soo loud we could not hear half the questions. It took a long time to order my drink and it was a Stout that was too sweet and I didn't finish it. It was super busy when we were there and the staff were nice but you could tell they were stretched thin which made it impossible for them to pay attention to their tables. Our waitress Danielle was super amazing and helpful. We were visiting from Tucson, AZ and she gave us a few ideas of places to check out. I tried their dry hopped cider and semi sweet cider. Both were so good and dry which is hard to find. Going home with a 32oz can of each. My husband had the switch dance stout which he really enjoyed. For food, I had their brisket, red chile chicken and carne asada tacos with lime crema and pico de gallo. My husband had the brisket and carne asada tostadas with refried beans and calabacitas. We both highly recommend the brisket and calabacitas!! Went here last night. The place was hopping (on a Tuesday!), but we were able to grab a table. They were busy, but service was great. I had to go up to the bar once to get some more drinks, but that's pretty normal. I had the dry cider which was really tasty -- often ciders can be too sweet, and this really hit the spot. Then I had the Low Card Lager which was very good -- nice and light. Food -- It was taco Tuesday! We shared the Nachos covered in brisket. The cheese was really good -- gooey and really nice flavor -- not your usual Velveeta or cheddar out of a bag. The brisket was amazing, which led me to have it in my taco. Then I had the tacos -- red chile chicken, pastor, and brisket -- all very good. My buddy had the Spam and Pineapple which he really enjoyed as well. We were both really impressed, and I'm planning on going back next week with another friend. read more

Ordered fried green chilli. When you live in New Mexico, you can't mess that up. This fried green chilli tasted like fried bell peppers. Batter was good but needed salt. I asked for ranch with it but was given sour cream. Couldn't let them know because they never came back to ask how everything was. They were out of the banana beer I wanted to try. The stout was too sweet and others were too watery. I came for Geeks who Drinks and it was so loud that you couldn't even hear and other people were complaining about it too, yet nothing was done. Six and a half hours in the saddle from Phoenix, this was my first stop! Excellent choice, if I may say. Palmer Brewery and Cider House is also Left Turn Distilling, and the food operation is Cocina Amada. All are really great. Justin behind the bar, excellent host. Day after Christmas, arrive about 1900. Place isn't super busy, but there's a half dozen people around the bar and a crowded table, and the beer, spirits, and food can't be beat! Ordered one each red chile chicken, pastor con piña, carne asada, and brisket tacos. While waiting for that, I started with the Switch Stance Stout. Fine stout. Very drinkable, dry, plenty of character, roasty-toasty but not heavy at all. Like a Guinness with flavor! Was intrigued by the "made in New Mexico" spirits. Barkeep was kind enough to let me try the NM Reserve Blue Corn Whiskey. Wow - smooth with a complex nose. Then, he suggested I try the Rojo Piñon rum. Nice choice, as well! Tacos showed up - tortillas smelled and tasted homemade, each was most excellent. The pineapple in the Pastor con Piña was just the teensiest crunchy, which was a great mouthfeel. The red chile chicken was super-mild, juicy, and the tortilla was wonderful. The brisket taco was good, brisket is brisket, not sugary, smokey. The carne asada was fine. Green salsa on the side was picante, pungent, but not first. Plenty of meat in every one. I will definitely be back - and, bought a bottle of the Blue Corn reserve for enjoying back home! read more

Albuquerque is a town blessed with MANY 5 star breweries--if you scan my reviews you will see that I have rated a few 5 stars myself. This is not a mistake! This, by itself, should place ABQ in the top 5 most livable cities, though I digress (and we've all seen Breaking Bad). Anyway, amongst this convocation of masters, Robert Palmer stands tall! Palmer is open to experimentation, as are all ABQ brewers (truly, this is a magical place) but his beers are always excellent, and exceptionally well balanced. As a smaller brewery, Palmer will never have dozens of beers on tap (they do supplement with a few guest taps) but the beers they have will all be wonderful. The fact that most days you can get a sausage from Joe here is just the icing on the cake! read more

Very cute place. Good drinks. MWA, Lavender Cider, and Red Monkey were really good. But bathrooms were gross! They stunk so bad. They really need to be cleaned. Also our waitress was really rude. She made it seem like were being rude and loud. Like we were disrupting everyone in the room. We were drinking and trying to have a good time. There's nothing wrong with laughing and having a good time. Very dramatic!! She kept saying that she needs to cut us off. But I'm a server as well. And you should be professional and know when to cut people off. Apparently she has no idea when to stop serving people. Then she complained about her tips. I'm sorry but you deserve what you got. I honestly do not even know where to start. I guess I can start off my saying that my family and friends will not be going back to this horrific business. If that is what you can even call it. I will never recommend anyone to go there, as I did the night my parents and I visited this place. I have never felt so degraded as a customer none the less embarrassed. I will say that if you go here PLEASE KEEP ALL YOUR COMMENTS TO YOUR SELF REGARDING THE "MUSIC" OR YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. I mean seriously. This is America right? Did you forget about freedom of speech? Who wants to be at a bar with depressing music? I surely do not. I want upbeat happy fun music. Well my family and I had 2 drinks... yes just 2... and made a comment to our waitress who had no clue how to act nor treat adults having responsible drinks. My story has been discussed with the manager and I was told that his staff took care of things the way they should have. Excuse me but I can see why we got treated so badly because he was okay with the bartender giving us our check after voicing our opinion about the music,we did not tell them to shut it off or anything but simply for future reference. Than the bearded bar tender who thought he was like the owner came over to us telling us off and arguing with us while we are speaking the manager. Than the manager had to take bearded man to a back room to cool off. How is that okay? Than to tell my father that he is clearly intoxicated when he said nothing and just sat there trying to order another drink? (Mind you he only had 2 maybe 1 and a half at this time) Discrimination for sure. In all honesty I wanted to support the local business since I cant drink beer and love any gluten-free drinks that I can get and not have to be at a "brewery". A solid brewery, also distillery here. Good food available from vendor on premises. Rob Palmer's beers are consistently good. Bartenders are friendly. Taproom isn't large but I've never not gotten seating. This place has a very loyal following. Add it into your rotation of local breweries if you haven't been here yet. read more

Best cider in town with a great atmosphere. Super low key compared to most breweries in town with a great welcoming staff and a new restaurant on site. They are serving some of the best tacos in town and real home made refried beans. Chips and queso and the nachos are great snacks. Whenever we go to ABQ (a couple times a year) we always try out one of the many breweries the city has to offer. The combination of brewery, cider house and Left Turn Distillery incentivized us to check it out. We were pleased that we did. Sampling the creative spirits was fun and being able to talk to the distiller made it all the better. The beers were good, if not spectacular. We particularly liked the MWA. The ambiance was cool and funky, with great wait staff. We could also get cocktails made with their house made spirits. The gin and corn whiskey were great! read more
