So I thought this was the place to go but today proved me otherwise. While the people here are nice the practice is questionable. I have been in excruciating pain so they got me to come in the same day I called, awesome great, I'm going in thinking I have a cracked tooth cus that's what it looked like to me. I got there, they get me in the back, they take a few x-rays and then the doctor comes in and immediately looks at the x-ray and she's like oh I can see the problem right here. Your tooth is cracked and you need to get it extracted. I started crying freaking out because my whole life I've been on top of my teeth going to the dentist every six months and now all of a sudden I'm being told my tooth needs to be extracted. I'm distraught so she recommends me to an endodontist in Livermore. I get there for my appointment and I find out that they didn't even take my insurance. Luckily they were nice enough to help me find somewhere that did I go to the other place and it turns out that I didn't even need a root canal and I definitely didn't need my tooth extracted that all it was was just my wisdom tooth coming in so I highly recommend to not come here .... I really don't think the Dr. knows what she is doing and is just money hungry and will not make your teeth any better. Waited over an hr just to be seen by her for her to fix my chipped tooth she had just fixed 2 days prior and had the audacity to tell me it's my fault the way I flossed . I got that chipped tooth fixed over 10 years ago and NEVER had issues but now it breaks so fast right after she fixed it again it broke and I never went back. read more

Unwilling to compromise at all, let alone meet me halfway, on an issue with a product and service that was grossly oversold and misrepresented in terms of the patient experience. As a child, just the thought of going to the dentist turned me into a wreck. Years later while serving in the military, my fears worsened as when the new and practicing military dentist poked, pulled and prodded in my mouth. Fast forwarding 30 years. I found myself in dire straights when I broke a wisdom tooth while on holiday. While heading back home, I telephoned Mission Peak (Tracy) and explained my dilemma. Without an appointment, I was told to come in to be seen by Dr. Eva. After arriving, Dr. Eva decided to send me out to a specialist when she saw my wisdom tooth was not only broken but the roots were curved into my lower jaw. Dr. Eva made a few calls and within the hour, I was not only seen by a specialist but my tooth was extracted as well. After surgery and after I made it home, Dr Eva telephoned to check up on me. She also scheduled a future an appointment to have the rest of my wisdom teeth pulled. At my next appointment, Dr. Eva was out on maternity leave, so Dr. Loisel handled my extractions and a needed root cannel. ** NOTE ** For my wisdom teeth extractions and my root cannel, I elected NOT to be put under anesthesia. Instead, Dr. Loisel shot me up with novocaine. And not once did I feel the needle or experience pain. Not even post surgery. All the fears and worries I had about going to the dentist disappeared and have been replaced by an at ease feeling when scheduling or knowing my next appointment is approaching. Dr. Loisel, Dr. Eva and the rest of staff have always been informative, courteous and professionals during all my interactions with them. Highly recommended and, I WILL return! read more

Terrible work and results, stealing money from patients and plus treat their staff with disrespect and take advantage of patients. I've been suffering from failure implant surgery for a month and there was no explanation from the dentist. From a bad experience I was asking to cancel all future appoint and they are ok to cancel but refuse to reverse all money back, the office managers explain to my husband that the implant is ok because it prove that it is failed but the crowns they can not do that because it not happen yet. I decided not to argue with them and walk away with my losses better than let the Dr. here to damage my teeth and hurt me again. This is a worse experience I ever had can't even think about that day at that place again. read more

I had a crown done and was told by the financial advisor that my insurance would cover a $1,000 deductible for the crown and that I'd be responsible for the remaining balance which I paid that then I was billed the $1,000 deductible few months later I contacted the office and told them my insurance company was to pay the deductible that I'd like to speak the financial advisor that I spoke to come to find out he was fired the gentleman on the phone was rude and told me "what you don't know what your insurance covers ? " Which was rude to say the least I told him isn't that your employees fault he didn't check into my insurance then I hung up .....Evelyn the new Financial advisor I came to talk to in person to find out what can we do to make this right she said we could try to appeal it she was way nicer then the man on the phone and I told her ok but still this is your dentals offices fault for not checking into my insurance correctly once evenly checked my insurance it states I can't use my insurance for crowns for a year evelyn also told me the gentlemen who was fired has done this to other patients and that's why he was let go well my insurance obviously did not accept the appeal and the bill is now in collections I will not be retuning and it's sad because my immediate family comes there my dad my sister and my mom I hadn't been back in years but now I definitely will not conduct business with this dentist office again and it's a shame because the dentist is very talented and I liked her a lot don't be scammed by these people so unprofessional read more

Coming here was such a breath of fresh air. I went to another dentist in Tracy who ALWAYS called me to reschedule the times, never had the same person helping me during the visits (5 or so people per visit), and very unprofessional staff. The staff here is AMAZING. The front desk receptionist is on top of her game, and is ensuring that you have everything ready for your visit. She is also extremely kind. The staff is so knowledgeable about what they do, and even described toothpaste ingredients to me. A procedure at the previous dentist that would of been extensive and expensive was easy to fix here. Was great back in 2009. Then business picked up and it all went downhill. It is no longer personal. They say you do not owe then bill you and blame the insurance which they claim to have checked prior to us leaving. The staff is always changing. Having a relationship with those up front is impossible because you never know when they will leave. I had a wisdom tooth removed that was infected and I was not given antibiotics. However, the procedure went well and it was easy so I stayed. Later I had a cavity filled but not it looks as if the job was not done correctly. Our son had cavities filled and they did 2 for free. My husband had several things done and it all went well. Our son went in for cleaning. We tried to pay and they told us no charge. Later we get a bill. A year later I went back and all new staff. New ways of handling payment and the Dentist wasn't nearly as personal. Later my husband went back and they told us no charge after contacting the insurance. Sure enough we get a bill. What could have been a great dentist for those with a dentist fear has turned into a poor practice. read more

I have been going to Mission Peak Dental Care since they opened, and I do not intend on leaving any time soon! What a fantastic office and staff! Everytime I have an appointment, I am greeted, by name! I always show up early to have a fresh cup of coffee or hot chocolate in the waiting room. Then, I am always seen on time, and have every procedure explained to me thouroghly. The staff is just as amazing as the office! I go to Mission Peak dental care for teeth cleaning. I had not gotten one in years when my friend to me she just had hers done in here and they look amazing. I decided to schedule an appointment with them and next week I had a full dental cleaning. The office itself is nice and clean and I felt really welcoming. I figured out that I should get my teeth cleaned every three month ( I did not know this before thinking that this is an unnecessary job) now, I love seeing my teeth in mirror. I think it worth the price to have a beautiful smile! read more

Reading previous reviews, I don't know if I am just lucky, if my dental needs are simply under par, or if they have made changes to address previous shortcomings. I have only had a couple of appointments, and each time the staff was friendly and respectful of my time (saw me promptly, not kept waiting in the chair, etc). As far as billing goes, they do not always check with insurance unless you specifically ask them to, so that could be better handled (received a surprise bill without warning for Xrays). I now make a point to ask them to check before doing anything out of the ordinary. My hygenists have been different, but each time they have taken the time to ask where my teeth are sensitive and handle those areas delicately, while still getting my teeth nicely cleaned and polished. So far my interaction with the dentist has been minimal, simple screenings for diseases and the like, but he has always been friendly and personable. read more

I have to start by saying that I love the care that Dr. Eva takes. She seems to care about her patients. Sadly that is the only redeeming part of my experience with Mission Peak Dental. Also the only reason I have stayed. But after the most recent experience, I am looking for a new practice. The laundry list of problems starts with the business staff. No one knows what the other is doing. They book appointments and then cancel things without telling you. They don't book appointments when need them. They don't follow through and call back when messages have been left. The hygienist will book a appointment but won't listen to what you have to say so if it didn't work for her you were shafted. I had work that needed doing and no one informed me so I had much more costly work later. I have even spoken to the office manager about all of our issues. She had us in for three different meetings to try to rectify the problem and no fix. They schedule appointments with doctors outside of my network to cost me more out of pocket. They are so focused on reminding you of appointments however. I average about 3 texts reminders, 3 phone cal reminders and 3 emails for one appointment. This is after I asked to be removed from these lists. I have filled out surveys asking to be removed as well. No avail. And I have three patients in our house so that is tripled. I really wish this wasn't necessary for me to find a new dentist because the actual dentist has been worth this. But I have had enough. No one listens or cares. They pretend to but it doesn't change. I write this as I am sitting in a chair waiting for the dentist who is out of my network and have been here for 30 min without seeing a person since I was seated. No updates. No check in. Oh and did I mention that they dropped my cleaning appointment which they scheduled yesterday morning, without telling me. So thanks for that. You also cancelled my appointment for Oct without telling me. And I had to pay 20 dollars extra in childcare to get here at 8 am and it is now 8:40?!?!! read more

Let me start off by saying I LOATHE going to the dentist. I would rather have a baby.. and I've given birth with no drugs. Anyone who has been in the Marine Corps can probably vouch when I say MILITARY DENTISTS ARE BARBARIC! Luckily for me I got to be "treated" by these dentists for about 7 years while in the Corps which has lead to my disdain for dentistry. I have been to Mission Peak about 3-4 times now. All of the times were for being in pain. They always got me in same day. The office looks very clean (although I didn't do a backlight test to ensure lol) The office staff is very welcoming and warm. The dentists try very hard not to hurt their patients. They're calm and understanding and not impatient. They will thoroughly go through the results of your exams. Last time I went I was having pain in my bridge. They did an exam and found nothing but said it was caused by me constantly clenching my teeth. I've had other dentists trying to rip me off and they didn't. Unfortunately I can no longer go there because they don't take my insurance :( read more

I used to go to another promenent dentist in town, but due to a change in dental coverage I decided to change dentists. I've gone to this practice for a cleaning and check up and then a root canal and crown. My next venture will be an implant at the beginning of the year. ($$$$) My experience so far has really been AWESOME. The office is very nice and seems to have all the modern techonology/tools, the office staff, hygienist, dental assistant and Dr Eva Gaisor have all been outstanding. No waiting and very attentive. I had quite a bit of anxiety about my trip to the dentist due to a need for a filling on a tooth to be fixed. The last time I had this tooth worked on, it took quite a bit of time to numb and work started on the tooth before I was ready. When I needed work done to fix it, they were gentle and patient with me. They made sure I was comfortable and took extra precautions to ensure they would ease me into it. Not to mention every time I go here for check ups and cleanings they are very attentive, professional, genuinely happy and helpful. Dr. Loisel is great, and so is Dr. Ava! worst receptionist ever! i found this dentist by the insurance website and she waits until 20 minutes before my appointment to call and say she can not get insurance information. i called my insurance and got the information so i don't know what her problem is but when i explained i took half a day to go there because they do not open when normal people are not working-like saturday-she starts talking over me and i asked her to hear me out and she continues talking and hangs up. i don't know how the dentist is but the staff is the shits! read more

Dr. Ava is absoluetly the best dentist i have ever had, however i cannot say the same for the male dentist in the office. I find him to be rude and inappropriate. He acts as though his time is too precious to do his job. My wife scheduled my childrens last appointment and scheduled us with him by mistake. He ignored my daughters jaw and tooth pain and gave her no solutions. Also Gracie, a hygenist, kept hurting my other daughter while cleaning her teeth by hooking her lip, gums, and cheeks. My daughter is very shy and so just suffored through it before finally telling me after we left. She was in pain for the rest of the day. read more

I won't be back. It's very disappointing. I loved this place the first time I went but I left here in tears today. They offer you nitrous oxide which is very helpful if you have dental anxiety like I do. The gas worked fine on the first visit. Today - not so much. They had it turned up as high as they could (70%) and I couldn't tell at all. When I said as much, the Dr snickered at me and rolled his eyes. I have never been so embarrassed before in a doctor's chair. I'm not a drug addict who likes to inhale nitrous for the hell of it. That's what I felt like today. When I was talking to the lady in the front office, she said they were using new masks and she didn't charge me for the gas. Had I been inhaling 70% nitrous, I wouldn't have been able to have a functional thought, but I was 100% coherent through the entire procedure. None of this would have been a problem if he didn't treat me like he did. I promise I wouldn't have even noticed it had I been as loopy as what that gas normally makes me. read more

I don't do very many reviews but this visit called for one. I can't say that I was ever afraid of the dentist but I also never felt the satisfaction that this Doctors Office left me with. All four of my wisdom teeth had grown in over the last year and after months of pain I finally got dental insurance and started looking for someone to do them. Dr. Loisel's office is both professional and warming. His front desk staff are very professional and seem very happy to work which in my opinion is always a good sign. Then you meet Dr. Loisel who makes you feel like he is excited to do work on you. You can really tell that he is in the line of work he wants to be. The office is really up to date with I pads, a Cooler if you want something to drink, a massage chair, plenty of magazines, a coffee maker.. The staff uses earpieces to communicate when you arrive were you are and pretty much everything else. It feels like the moment you walk in the door your the number one concern. Its really amazing in today's day and age to receive such good service from an entire staff. The systems are obviously very up to date and they figure out exactly what you will need to pay in a private very nice room. The most amazing part was the price he didn't charge for x-ray or consultation. That was 200 less then other place I called first. I got all four teeth pulled in 30 minutes and feel great the next day. Its important to note I had no impacted teeth this was not surgical and didn't require being put to sleep. This is a little long, but I hope you take the time to read... several months ago I made the decision to go to another dental office because they were cheaper. With me not working, it's just one of many choices we have to make to save money. After completing my treatment, which included a filling between my front tooth and the adjacent one, I noticed right away that it looked like I had food or something between my teeth, and that I could not floss. I returned to the office and she drilled between my teeth to allow for the floss-even tried it before I left. When I got out to the car I did the immediate check in the mirror only to see a little black pepper or spice was there. When I tried to remove it, I realized it was a hole. The dentist had drilled out the amalgam and now left a hole in its place. Mortified, and not wanting to give this dentist another chance at ruining my tooth, I called and made an appointment with our long time dentist DE. Loisel at Mission Peak Dental. At this point I figured whatever the cost, I needed I to go a dentist I could trust . When I went to see him, I asked him, "have you ever had a time in your life where you had to compromise quality for price? " he said yes and i proceeded to tell him the story. He said he had been through similar tough times and he would see what he could do and did I have time to spare that morning. He then proceeded to call the other dentist in and they beautifully repaired that tooth and another that had a chip at NO CHARGE! I was blown away. So I'm posting this to give public praise to Dr. Loisel and Mission Peak Dental. I always loved this office, they really came through for me in a time of need. I'll never go anywhere else. read more

This is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. I just had a root canal done and the only pain I felt was the first three shots I was given. Dr. Loisel is a wonderful caring dentist. Very patient, knowledgeable and skilled. The staff as a whole gets 5 stars from me as well. They are very polite and non judgmental. They make you feel very comfortable and at ease with whatever it is you need to have done. My children get seen by this dental office as well. They feel very comfortable when they get their work done. I am a non insurance patient and I feel that their pricing is fair. I have been to many dentists who just want your money and don't really care about you. This establishment is not like those other dental offices. You will love this dentist! read more
