Just stopped by this store and was happy to see they were restricting the number of customers that could enter at one time. The people waiting were standing apart from each other waiting patiently. The carts were being cleaned as they were being handed out. Inside the crew was cleaning down almost every aisle and the cashier was ready at every checkout. Great job to this team for providing an excellent environment during these times. read more

I have been going to Trader Joe's for years but tonight I was surprised and disappointed to have a checkout person who was really unpleasant. Usually the staff is so friendly and helpful. I am really concerned they have such a rude cashier who treats customers this way. I hope they realize this person should not be working at this store. My favorite grocery store - I wish there was one where I live. There was a line to get in, due to the store following COVID guidelines but the line moved very quickly. There were about 10-14 people in front of me and I didn't wait more than 10 mins to get in. They also cleaned the carts as people left. I appreciate that every time I've gone to TJ's it is always stocked and the workers are friendly/helpful. read more

This is a very busy Trader Joe's and usually has as many people as possible inside. But it's always great to look at new items, buy the old trusted stand by things we love and pickup up a few samples too! They always have nice clerks who are Thankful that we bag our own items. Never have to wait too long. The parking is limited because of how busy this place is, but be patient. It's worth it. read more

Wow! This Trader Joe's is big. We have a bunch of Trader Joes in the NW, but one NW store could fit into this store. This store looks New. Very clean, freindly staff and same great prices. Organic, Natural food and great wine selection. Yeah, they even have organic FREY Wine!!! (suflate free) I also love the fact that they even provide little shopping carts for kids. TJ's has always been a favorite in our house. Now, I am even more impressed. My daughter surprised us with her resolution to go vegan, so I was not sure what to buy, stock. Wayne, at the Trader Joe store on Holly, totally helped me out. He is a vegetarian and gave personal recommendations of items he and his family like. He also showed me where specific products were located. I really appreciated the notice about the high protein vegan burger, because if you don't know what to look for, finding these items can take a long time, if you ever find them. I will be shopping even more at TJ's now! read more

Super delicious and lots of vegan options which you don't see often. You must try the truffle oil chips. In addition they have strawberry Moki which is vegan and you never see that. I also had a hummus wrap, also vegan. They have many vegan selection in the frozen food area as well. Check it out! I posted pictures. read more

This is a better location than the TJ's in Uptown because it isn't consistently out of my favorite items and the parking is better. This rating is stacking it against other TJ's, not grocery stores overall because the produce quality at TJ's across the country is mediocre at best. I have had the same produce quality issues at TJ's in California and Tennessee. It also isn't as busy here as the Uptown location, and perhaps that's why parking is better here. read more

Such a good store. They have really good prices and their Trader Joe's brand items are usually really good. A great selection of beer and wine and they have the best jalapeño and cilantro hummus on the planet. The store is always clean, organized, and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I'm not going to waste your time talking about their extensive cheese and wine selection, or their great organic and wholesome foods. If you've been to one Trader Joe's, you've been to them all. However, I will say this about Trader Joe's... Of all the grocery stores I've been to in ABQ/Rio Rancho, THIS is the ONLY place that sells ITALIAN PLUM TOMATOES in a can. THE ONLY PLACE. Albeit, they sell it with basil, but it will do. What's so important about italian effing plum tomatoes you might ask?? Well, for starters, I CAN'T MAKE my BOMB ASS tomatoe sauce WITHOUT them!! My tomatoe sauce just doesn't taste right without ITALIAN PLUM tomatoes. Kudos to Trader Joe's for their fine taste in canned tomatoes. They also sell papperdelle pasta of various varieties which is hard to find in any city. Ten thumbs up to Trader Joe's for those two things alone. read more

In my case, this place is pretty much all around perfect. There are really no distance problems, as others have noted, being that it's a half mile from my house. Everything is all around great at this location. My only complaint would be that they've stopped carrying the dried pomegranate seeds, but I believe they've been removed from all locations which is sad indeed. Good ol' Trader Joe's. It's a clear testament to my love of this place that I am much closer to Sprouts/Sunflower adn regularly stop there, yet still make it a point to drive much farther out to stop here, FOR NO OTHER REASON THAN THAT I'M A FIEND. I just like certain products from here. To use one of the recurring metaphors that arises in my reviews, this place just slangs the best dope. In the drug world, the tops of vials differentiated dealers and clients thus looked for red tops or blue tops according to their tastes. Well, I do that. There are certain things I only will buy from TJ's: -their OJ (the pure, not the cut, if you nah mean) because of it's price and taste -their cheese selection, which I again like because of the prices -all those damn tasty concoctions that they package like their chocolate chip cookie buckets, their soups, their sausages, their turkey bacon....again, at a fair price Oh, and I love that I can always come in here, have a sampling of some dish and wash it down with some coffee and cream. Always. That's just awesome. I would probably give this place one more star, but this parking lot is cray. You know the scenes in The Wire when all the fiends are lined up to get that rock? Well, it's amazing that a bunch of crackheads can behave more civilly and controllably than high-brow uptown TJ's shoppers. read more

Aren't we lucky to have a TJ's in Albuquerque? Too bad it's on that crappy side of town that looks like Phoenix. Seriously, they picked the area of town that's the farthest away from my house; like I think they used my house as a reference point and said "let's be at least 20 miles away from this house." So... I end up going to a combination of Sunflower, Smith's and The Co-op, in other words I must enjoy handing over my entire paycheck to grocery stores because that's what I do. For those of you who don't know what the infamous, the awesome, the Trader Joe's is all about, go there. This is my store. I buy a majority of my groceries here. I write this review in a somber mood. I took my BIG exam...I think I pretty much bombed it. :( Headed straight to TJs for a bottle of $2 Chuck and some munchies. Pinot Grigio is my poison...but I also buy their margarita mix, its all natural and makes a terrific margarita! I can't say much more than everyone else has as far as the pros for TJs...its affordable, great products, and has a wonderful wine selection. TJ's-- how ever would i throw a party without ya!... i totally buy the effect-- the no-nonsense, bazaar of all things edible without the glam, lo-voltage staging of whole foods. love the 60's hippie vibe, the 70's rock playing in the background, the aloha-shirted staff. it's that improbable commune on paseo del norte on your way to deep suburbia. very reasonably priced. flowers and plants- check. a case of italian pelegrinos- check. machego and gruyere cheeses- check. a case of the red two-buck-chucks-- check. read more

Love this store, love the crew!! Last week I asked for four uncut, empty Charles Shaw wine boxes to make a traveling bodega for our newly acquired Airstream, The Nancy. So sorry I didn't get your names, but you know who you are, thank you for your immediate attention to my need for Charles Shaw wine boxes. Customer Service Guy asked young (unnamed) woman to empty four cases onto the shelf and voila! I had my boxes for my bodega project. Thank you! I needed Charles Shaw wine boxes in particular as my husband of 38 years is Charles Shaw. Unfortunately, he's not the wine CS, but the yucatanchas CS. If he were in the wine business we probably would not be driving our Airstream around the countryside looking for a place to park for free. read more

Outstanding place to do your grocery shopping!! I am a HUGE Trader Joe's fan. I fell in love with the place the first time I walked in several years back :). They have great produce, yummy frozen meals, a great selection of on the go meals and cheeses...not to mention that a lot of their stuff is all natural. I like getting their frozen meals for work because they don't have the preservatives that a lot of others frozen meals do. I have to take a little time to talk about their wine. I LOVE Trader Joe's wine. And some of it is dirt cheap! I'm kind of a wino and they have decent wines for $3-$7 per bottle. I don't know how they do it, but I won't ask questions. They have a fabulous selection. The only drawback (not enough to take away the 5-stars) is that they don't have a location on the west side :(. However, this place is top-notch. I always loves me some TJS. If people who work at your TJS aren't happy you know something is seriously wrong, cuz TJS is just a happy kind of place. Wayne was my check out guy, and you know, he just kind of made my day with his infectious joviality! Plenty of room in the isles, which is appreciated if you have mobility issues/devices. There's always something new treasure arriving, so take your time to treasure hunt! Great selection, and prices esp on organics. As previously mentioned, sometimes freshness can be an issue with produce. Pick with care, but have a great time doing it. read more

Great grocery store. You can find things here that you won't find anywhere else. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The store is big enough to offer what you need but small enough to make it easy to find everything you want. The food is healthy and fresh. It's a tad expensive but good stuff usually is. This location's parking is no better than Uptown store, but you're sure to find friendly, helpful people. I've been trying their beauty products a lot lately and I am a forever fan. Moisturizers, organic argan oil, soaps...nothing slighted in quality, whatsoever. You'll get far more than what you pay for! Meats are fresh, pre-packaged or not. Great trail mixes and snacks for work or play. I have always enjoyed Trader Joe's and don't see that changing anytime soon. read more

I am the happiest person ever now that Albuquerque has Trader Joe's. I have been excited since they opened however many years ago. They make healthier eating more affordable and their shelves and freezer section are full of awesome things to help you come up with creative ideas for dinner. There is an awesome selection of food, desserts, ready-to-go meals, wine, booze, household items, and flowers. I see no reason to stop going. The shoppers have never been a problem for me-- everyone seems to mind their own business and be in their own little grocery shopping world. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the lines move quickly. I'll be a fan for life so far as I can tell. read more

This place is great that you gotta go to if you get a chance. This is a great location to get fresh and organic groceries. Stopped by many times to get already prepared pizza DOUGH to make any funky different pizza shape you could make.All u have to do is roll it out and add toppings from fresh spinach or cheesy mozzarella or even a meaty prochito ham also provided at the local store. Great little store with many delectable and (surprisingly) affordable treats! The staff is always very upbeat, friendly, and helpful. The over-all selection can be somewhat limited, so not a one-stop-grocery store, but a great compliment to a regular shopping routine. And especially as a store to find special items - like the Sugar, Chocolate & Coffee Bean Grinder! The wine selection is quite impressive. Two-Buck Chuck (Charles Shaw wines)! What's not to love? The only con is the rather small parking lot making parking a (sometimes) challenging affair. read more

I love Trader Joe's. This is a nice store, and at this time,the closest one to Las Cruces, NM at about a 3 hour drive. If it were closer, I would shop there more. That said, my neighbors and friends all let each other know when we go, so we can get our shopping lists filled. If you live near a Trader joe's check them out! Thye are a great compliment to the discount grocery shopping you might go to the bigger chains for. TJ's has good prices, and a nice variety of unique items that are worth the trip - even if it takes 3 hours each way! read more

This is a big Trader Joe's. Lots of variety and good produce. Definitely not a one-stop shop (I couldn't find marshmallows), but you can get a lot of stuff here. The frozen section has a great selection of Mexican/New Mexican food. read more

Great store for wine, cheese, crackers and fancy frozen entree's/desserts. I am a huge cheese fan and the prices and varieties that Trader Joe's has is fantastic. They have a great cracker selection also (the water crackers being my favorite). They have some excellent wines at very affordable prices. Our current favorite is the La Finca Malbec which is just $4 a bottle. We have tried many of their desserts - their baked New York Style cheesecake is excellent as are many of their cookies. They have some pretty decent frozen indian/curry entrees and side dishes also. I just wish there was one of these in the North Valley, but I should count myself lucky there isn't a single Trader Joe's in Colorado (although Denver may get one late this year - how crazy is that!) read more

Love Joes. Their private label wines sell for $9, but originate in vinyards charging $20+. Any down side comes from the focus on pre-packaged food, but they do it very well. Customer service? I love the people there, they really feel like a "neighborhood store." Why 4 stars? Their parking lot is aweful. My fiance sometimes won't even go with me to TJ's because maneuvering the parking lot is a nightmare. If I could park, it would be 5 stars easy. read more

Unique is the best word I can come up with for Trader Joe's. They have a lot of unusual things I've never seen before. If you are looking for traditional store brand items, keep looking for another store. They have many things that are their own brand labels. I went there for the first time last week so I can only comment on what I saw. I did by the pecan pralines and they are great. The only other thing I got was tomato sauce which made for good pizza. read more
