This is the best little grocery store in all of Dallas. All the employees are helpful and friendly. Their prices are always reasonable. The layout is so simple and efficient it makes food shopping a breeze. This location is just fine but they need someone monitoring the parking around their closing time. Lots of people using the spots to go to Truck Yard, I've even seen people standing in parking spots to save it for their friends who aren't even there yet. I tend to go around the time they close and this makes it impossible to get in many nights. Sorry this parking should be to go in to the store and leave when you come out, it's not paid public parking. I honestly either go to Sprouts if it's late or try to come around day time. read more

So many reasons I LOVE TJ. Your wonderful friendly employees. No sour faces here. And your no solicitations policy! Krogers, Sprouts, etc will not let me get in or out without trying to guilt me into giving a $1 or rounding up my bill. Even if I believe in the charity, I hate being bothered when I have walked into that store to get groceries and leave in an annoyed mood.. We sent an email regarding our family getting sick from food we purchased at TJs, which was outdated. Apple and Amazon and others respond to customers because they care. On the whole it's a good store. It's smaller than I remember, but it's been some time since I lived in LALAland. The veggies are cheap, as is the meat; but they lack a large selection. Inflation had caught up and Two buck chuck is now $2.99. For BBQ lovers, the charcoal is good but it's briquettes not lump if it makes a difference to you. I love Trader Joe's! Every time I shop there I find something new and interesting. They have delicious oddities and all your necessary groceries at great prices (and a great wine selection!) This location is especially great. The staff is friendly, helpful, and laid back. I have never fully understood the concept, but they have interesting foods. Apparently; this is is the love-child from a small neighborhood grocery store crossed with World Market. Cool. Dog-friendly with organic food choices; trendy and fun. SWlightly higher prices than the grocery store, but hey - they have about 10 different kinds of almonds. Can't find those options at WalMart! There's hundreds of Trader Joe's in California, so I kept wondering when we were going to get a location in Texas... lo and behold, bf and I were driving down Greenville and the big beautiful letters catch my eye: TRADER JOE'S. I make him pull over so I can stock up on cheap, guilt free snacks. There's several options here that usually aren't available in other grocery stores. Definitely more organic-based products and a few others that you can easily find in a Central Market. Of all the things you can list about Trader Joe's, I'd say their prices are extremely competitive. I left with large bags of veggie chips for only a few dollars. It's a nice place to visit for a few groceries, but I prefer the Central Market. This location is extremely small, and has a pretty limited selection compared to larger stores in the area. read more

For the most part I'm a fan of this place. It's a cheaper alternative to Wholefoods, and Central Market...and that there is awesome for me! I get to find my Vegetarian dishes that I so seek and the organic produce that doesn't cost an arm and a leg like the other places that I mentioned. I just wish that the store had a great selection...meaning, that it was a bit bigger so that it could have more to offer. You know? I've been to the ones in Cali and they offer much more stuff. I like the Uptown location a bit better (maybe I'm biased) but it seems larger. However, this location is great too. It's pretty awesome that Dallas has not one, but TWO Trader Joe's within 10 min of each other. THE WINE SELECTION HERE IS AMAZING AND THE COST IS EVEN MORE AMAZING. Seriously, if you want to throw your own wine tasting, you can legit get 5 bottles of wine for $30 and have all of them be delicious. Their wine is not cheap because it's bad. It's actually fairly decent/good wine for almost merchant price. That is the reason Trader Joe's gets 5 stars. They basically provide grocery at merchant price, instead of the 3X upcharge that Whole Foods is all about. read more

Good ol TJ's. What can you say? If you aren't used to Trader Joe's and what all the haps are about, the first time you walk can be shocking. My wifey-to-be had been raving about all things Trader Joe's so in my mind I was picturing this huge mega grocery store with house-branded everything. A Mega-Lo-Mart. (KOTH ref.) It was the opposite. I was genuinely disappointed that it was no bigger than the Ma/Pa groc store I grew up with. BUT, after the newness wore off and I got a few samples in my belly I was a believer. Price and health are a two huge factors that don't usually coincide in most places these days so honestly, the food quality and prices are what keeps us going back. The layout of things starts to make sense, the staff is always super friendly (even though they try to pair you with a boyfriend when you're with your fiance - long story) and you will start to slowly but surely get the entire concept. Looking forward to the N. Dallas location opening at some point as well. read more

My go to grocery store. LOVE this place. I love all of their original grocery items & snacks. This location is in a prime spot in Greenville and provides everything that Trader Joe's should. You will load up at Trader Joe's and be surprised at how well priced it is for all of the food you went overboard on. But fair warning, do not go shopping here on an empty stomach or else you will end up with an overloaded cart. read more

I'm a convert from that other store a few blocks away where customer service has really taken a nose dive. Since coming here to TJs though, life is good. So what's the best thing about it for me? The customer service. I have yet to find a rude or uninformed employee or waited in a long line. The attitude at TJs is upbeat, friendly, helpful, quick in and out service if you are in a hurry and even if I was down, I'd come here for a free pep talk and how can you put a price on that! They have great prices, lots of specials and some things I just can't find anywhere else. Business here is always brisk and they have parking in the front and rear. As a California kid, Trader Joe's has always had a spot in my heart. This place fulfills every and ALL of my grocery needs, and is the perfect one stop shop for a college student. My personal favorites include the fresh salads that are perfect for lunch on the go, the microwavable indian cuisine, the variety of cheese and crackers and the list goes on! The people are always very helpful, gracious and just plain awesome! Plus the variety of private label items are insane (in a good way!). LOVE TRADER JOES! Great location and good parking. Everyone here is always so nice and helpful! I asked about potted cilantro (like their other potted herbs) and the woman that was helping me sad they didn't sell any in pots, they did sell fresh cut. She then proceeded to pull out her phone and show me an article she found in some gardening magazine about how to grow your own cilantro from fresh cuts! She probably spent 10 minutes giving me instructions and emailing me the article. So helpful!!! Sometimes they do sell out of items quickly because it is in a trendy area. I always ask about the seasonal items and buy in bulk if I like them. read more

Parking is crowded. This is the smallest Trader Joe's I have been to so less items. I have been shopping at Trader Joe's in another state at various locations. The items I bought were good. Strange that a location in the city would be far more spacious in terms of isle space than one in the suburbs (Plano), but it is true. Good parking for the location although driving lower Greenville is a pain if you have no other reason to be there. Employees were very friendly, and everything was very well stocked. read more

The lower Greenville location is well organized and always kept clean. The staff is always joyful and attentive. I like that the plants are displayed at the front which makes it a pleasant entrance. Case in point I have been running around trying to find a good solid fresh non brined turkey for thanksgiving. I thought for sure Trader Joes would have them. NOPE! So glad I read the reviews before shopping, I got some great ideas on what to buy! My tip, get there early. I arrived at opening on a Sunday morning and only had to share the store with a few other shoppers. Too bad I was too early to buy wine! It was great to really take my time and look around. I discovered Trader Joe's when I lived in Las Vegas. I had two locations to choose from-near my apt. and near my job! I remember the first time I walked in and took a spin around the store. Celestial lights and sounds went off in my head! I was truly in gourmet snack Heaven without the gourmet prices! Then I discovered the vast selections of wine and beer to go along with my favorite snacks. But the food Gods didn't stop there. No, they showed me the dinners for one! Already prepared and all I had to do was heat it up! This was truly a blessing because after a long day, I didn't want to cook but didn't want fast food either. It also saved me leftovers because I learned to cook for seven people and cooking for one is harder than you think. I am so happy Trader Joe's decided to expand in DFW! I'm infatuated with their organic fruits and veggies, and I have been able to get 4 bags of groceries for less than $100! I drive from Richardson every weekend because it's worth it!!! What I like about this place is that it's reasonably priced and by that I mean you won't spend half of your pay check trying to eat healthy and buying organic, unlike other places. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Because this place is so awesome it gets really crowded and packed on weekends. I used to shop at Central Market and Whole Foods but after noticing that in their prepared foods lies many of the worst ingredients a human can consume such as petroleum based food dyes, hydrogenated GMO soybean oil, etc.. Trader Joes makes their food without any of these health hazards. The prices at TJ's are much more reasonable as well. ALWAYS READ THE INGREDIENTS OF YOUR FOOD. read more

Today was my first time in a Trader Joe's store. Had heard many good things about it, but I couldn't understand the hype. I walked in and out, and made my way down to the central market. Fresh (non-packaged) produce was almost non-existent in TJs and the frozen food sections were all too abundant. Will try another TJs location to see if I feel any different overall. read more
