I went into Trader Joe's wanting to find out more about all the Vegan options that were available. Dan went above and beyond assisting me. He printed out the list of all the Vegan options for me and then went through each category of food taking me around the store and showing me exactly where the items were located. He was also very knowledgeable about the foods having tasted many of the items. You will be taken care of if you shop at this store. Superior customer service. read more

Who doesn't love Trader Joe's? Having been a TJs fan for many years in Seattle, how THRILLED was I when they opened in Delray Beach? *opening arms as wide as I can to virtually show you my thrillness level* This Trader Joe's seems a tad bit smaller to those I "grew up on", but nevertheless, they still offer the best in pre-made snacks, meals and seasonal items. No longer must I make the trek down to Miami or over to Tampa or Sarasota. We now have our very own Trader Joes! Oh, and the employees are more helpful than I'm accustomed to. I must walk around with a look of confusion, as about 1 out of 2 trips finds me answering, "Nope, I'm good" when asked, "Ma'am, can I help you find something?" I'm usually just looking for my husband! My only complaint is that I wish the parking lot didn't seem so small and cramped. Regardlesss, once inside the store, I make a bee-line to the Newly Arrived Items section, and stock up. I love this place! read more

I love Trader Joe's. I come here especially for non-fat Greek yogurt. It tastes just like whole milk yogurt. The nuts here are also great. Try the cashews with sesame seeds. Recently I went on a diet so I stopped buying them, but if weight isn't a concern, try them! The frozen foods, especially vegetables are excellent. Fresh fruits and vegetables are plentiful and good. You can get wine here for $2 and it's no bad. The breads are also artisan breads. Try the olive bread...I like it dipped it dipped in olive oil, but then again that's another thing I have to avoid for my diet. During Thanksgiving time, they sell a pumpkin skin cream that smells so good and is quite effective in moisturizing your skin. I buy loads of it then and give it out as Christmas gifts the month later. They always have beautiful flowers to greet you when you walk in the door. It is always a pleasant site and is good marketing. The praises for flowers are reasonable. I would avoid this place on weekends. It is another place that is a zoo then. Parking is always easy to find. The employees are always courteous and helpful. They give out samples from time to time. All in all, I am grateful that we have a Trader Joe's close to home! read more

Trader Joe's has long been one of my favorite places to buy food, thanks to their quality goods at inexpensive to reasonable prices in a fun environment. I am blessed to live in an area with many good options for groceries, but I find myself using TJ's for many items. I have been shopping at this store since I moved to the area just under three years ago and like other Trader Joe's, this location is excellent! Upon entering the store, I always find it to be clean and cheerful, with art depicting the Delray area making for a nice local tribute. If you enter the store and keep to the left, you will find their produce section, which has a good selection of conventionally grown and organic produce. I have bought produce here, ranging from organic and conventionally grown cauliflower, bananas, tomatoes, and one occasion, a salad bag. Produce here tends to be inexpensive compared to other grocers in the area and it is usually high in quality. I still find myself buying most of my produce at Publix and Costco though, as they have an edge over TJ's but overall, TJ's is another solid option for produce. Just past the produce department is their demo station, where Gabrielle, a sweet and engaging employee offered me a sample of cider, vegetable-based tortilla chips, and on her own accord, ghost pepper salsa which was very spicy but very authentic! In the rear of the store, you also have your cheese section, which I happen to like a lot, as the cheeses are high quality and reasonably priced. I happen to like their Crotini, which is three types of goat cheeses, including a spiced, herbed, and plain one. Another favorite cheese of mine is their Fresh Mozzarella log, which is smooth and creamy. It is priced at a cheap $4.99/lb, placing only slightly more than Costco and undercutting Walmart and Publix. Another bonus of this mozzarella is that it is kosher, which is helpful as I try to keep kosher at home. Adjacent to the cheese section would be your dairy section, which has a quart of milk priced at $1.79, right on par with Publix. In the middle of the store you have your grocery aisles, which have delights like a piquant tapenade, high quality and delicious Organic Brown Rice Gluten Free Pasta priced at $1.99/lb, versus Tinkyada Gluten Free Pasta being sold at about $3.49/12 oz at other stores like Publix and Walmart. They also have spicy and high-quality salsa, tortilla chips, frozen meals, and a Pound Plus Chocolate Bar, which was rated highly in Consumer Reports, delicious, and inexpensive at about $5 in change. On a couple of occasions, I bought meat here thanks to their better than average kosher selection and was able to buy some Empire Kosher Chicken Breasts for less than everywhere else except Costco. When it was time to check out, I always found the service to be very friendly, helpful, and efficient, even when it has been packed. Sydney, my cashier yesterday was no exception! My one gripe with this store, which is not their fault is that this parking lot isn't easy to navigate. Overall, while Trader Joe's may not be quite like your traditional supermarket, I feel that Trader Joe's is excellent for what they do and I am always happy to shop here! read more

You are right, the prices are high (cuz they raised them for the busy rental season.) Bec. of that, shouldn't corp. mgt. do something to encourage people to come in & spend money? Like make their staff wear masks? Many staff at this store refuse to mask as a political statement, when it's really vital for your health. (Yet THEY all got shots for polio, diphtheria, pertussis, rotavirus, measles, smallpox, mumps, rubella, tetanus, chickenpox, etc.) And it's easy to wear one. Florida has the worst death rate in the US and the anti-science ppl want your tax money to pay for their ego trip--thru their hospitalization. Since everything changes, that's about to change, too--just like years ago you could hike deep into back country and when you got lost, entire teams of ppl with powerful resources would come out to save you. Now, the govt is charging you for that, cuz you chose to risk your safety. Similarly, they've started charging the "own-the-libs" anti-maskers for their big egos. No benefit to you: you may not want to go here because you have other choices for your money. read more

I always shopped at my TJ on long island, so when I was in Delray beach I was so happy to find it.Same great food and price. The customer service was horrible. It was Thurs morning, every employee passed without a hello or smile. We asked a woman where bacon was cause we could not find it.She replied" with the eggs and kept walking". Trader Joe's came into my life and took over my grocery shopping habits by a considerable amount. I use to primarily shop at Publix and I now almost exclusively shop at TJs, so it's really something that a company can come into your town and influence your shopping preference like that. The good: TJ's is very unique in their product offering, you will find a vast assortment of interesting and delicious sounding products that you can't find anywhere else. If you pick up a product and read the ingredients, the majority of products appear to be healthy with natural ingredients. Rarely do I find something that's full of preservatives or ingredients I cant read/never heard of. They offer unique versions of things that I normally find boring at other super markets, like frozen veggie patties and fish burgers. Their stock is constantly changing, which can be a good thing because you never know what new and exciting item you will find next. I literally find something new every time i visit, which seems odd because it's a small store...but it's due to a quick rotation of items. They have an awesome selection of cheese and wine, which could be good and bad because my consumption of both has increased since they came to town. Also a great selection of cheap flowers. This store has actually changed my perception about how much I should pay for a decent/good bottle of wine. The staff is very kind and I always find myself chatting with someone at check out. I feel that for the most part, things are cheaper and I spend less here than at Publix. The Bad: The produce can be lacking in variety and sometimes quality, the other day the broccoli was pathetic. They just don't have the size to carry everything you may be accustom to, little things like jalapeno's (or any other peppers other then green/red). They are often out of things, partly because they rotate items in and out of stock so much but also because they run out. I shop after work and it's season down here, so the stores been thoroughly picked through by the time I get in. They don't seem to be constantly restocking like Publix does, either that or they run out completely and can't restock certain items. Their is a lot of delicious looking/sounding frozen food, sadly since trader joe's came to town frozen food has become a big part of my diet. Perhaps its a stigma I have because most frozen food is full of crap, trader joe's frozen food appears by the ingredients to be healthy...but in my head I still categorize it as bad. Either way, it would be nice if they had a larger selection of similar fresh items. The only way to spend less here is to stick with items for breakfast/lunch/dinner and the typical groceries. The store is so full of awesome looking snack items, cheap wines, cheeses, etc....that you can easily end up spending over $100 with the addition of unnecessary luxury items. It's a great place to impulse buy and that adds up quick. Overall I really love trader joes, they came into Delray and stole my business away from Publix. Their pricing is great on most items and they offer such a unique selection of products. Sure they have their quirks and could improve in many ways, but I can't complain because I'm now a regular shopper. read more

People were actually very pleasant and it was packed let me tell you. Parking was also found right away, a pleasant surprise. In New York or Cali Trader Joes is as important as our Publix deli is to us Floridians. I don't get. It's like a hipster version of Aldi's. It's a whole lotta nothing. The store seems like its 80% frozen food. The price is fine and the food is ok, but haven't we all learned that frozen food is not the way to go in 2014? Preservatives, freshness, god knows what cancer causing agents are found in that kind of stuff. This is what the store is. I don't see fresh meats or seafood. Some hip granola some off-brand private label beer (which looks awesome for just $6) and a bunch of frozen kale. Nah, this store doesn't warrant the hype at all. read more

Right now things are still crazy during prime shopping hours, but I went in at 8 pm two night ago and it was busy but not crowded. Could they HAVE less parking which make a) me stressed out before I even enter the store and b) everyone else in the store the same. Super rude customers, some very rude employees, VERY small TJs with teeny tiny aisles makes for an always heart pounding shopping experience for claustrophobics and germaphobes alike. Can't get around at all on a Saturday at all and it's similar even on midday on a Wednesday. Love the products but it's not worth the hassle of this location. read more

I can easily spend hours in Trader Joe's. Their prices are affordable and they have a great selection of TJ branded products that are unique and can't find anywhere else. There's the famous cookie butter, their amazing cooking sauces (Tikka masala simmer sauce and yellow thai coconut curry are my favorites), the Green Fin wines, and much much more. I always overspend on my visits cause there's not a location close to my house. Hopefully there will be one soon. This particular location is well laid out and sections are labeled. The only thing that is bad about their fresh produce is its so fresh it goes bad quickly. I've bought arugula and wild arugula packs that were a bit wilted and some leaves were mushy upon opening the package. It didn't last more than 2 days so make sure you eat the greens quickly. The same with bananas. The organic bananas I got were much cheaper than at Publix but they also withered away alot faster. The pre-made pastas and entrees are good for a quick dinner option. read more

I live in Boynton but the 15 minute drive to Delray is so worth it because this Trader Joe's is great! They have such a great selection of common and unique products. The prices are not the "best" but the quality is worth it to me. The store is on the smaller side but it is well organized. The staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is a little cramped but I had no problem finding parking even when it was crowded. I have tried the sushi and will say its not the best I have had but it wasn't horrible. Overall, this Trader Joe's is wonderful and I will definitely be making the drive in the future for my grocery shopping needs. read more

Great specialty food store! We discovered them on trips to CA and ate delighted to welcome them to Florida. I really don't get the folks who are trying to compare it to WholeFoods..or should I say THEY really don't get it. This is a market that sells unique, reasonably priced foods including organics. It is not a giant overpriced store with a full service deli, buffet bar, juice bar, etc, etc... But you also won't pay $9 a bag of oranges either. Low overhead allows them to bring customers some cool, quality offerings at great price points! If you like that, you'll love Trader Joe's. read more

Trader Joe's is a tradition to me seeing as I've traveled all over the country. It's a real delight to shop here. From New York to Arizona to Florida they use the same wonderful policies. The refund policy is next to the best I've seen. I've tried everything here because I can return it without question. The stock rotates fast and as a Gemini I appreciate that. When the seasons come they are extremely well prepared. The quality of their meat is impressive. I haven't seen empire kosher turkey and a dogs age. The brisket maybe $25 but it will knock your socks off. The frozen food shouldn't be considered frozen food. The staff is so happy to be there and they are so friendly.
