TJ's is alway great for snack and even dinner items. Always something quick to whip up! Most people thinks they are expensive but if you really think about it, it depends on your portion size. The one here can get quite busy- it services Vacaville, Fairfield and suisun. I enjoy to get there super early but sometimes some items are stocked throughout the day. Parking can be hard when it's peak busy, it just means you have to park far and walk but it's not that bad really. All associated working are always nice and super helpful even during the stressful rush time! read more

Gotta love TJ's wherever they are. My ONLY COMPLIMENT is that their produce is mainly prepackaged with plastics or netting. Netting is the worst because of it's environmental impact on Ocean wildlife. Other than that, they are awesome. Their principles are honored through their actions and customer service. So, while traveling along the PCH we passed a dozen Strawberry fields. Naturally my mind was on strawberries a ton because of this. When we stopped in Fairfield heading to my sister's house we decided to stop at TJ's because we absolutely love these establishments. Every store is unique of course and this one was selling strawberry doodle cookies. I have one word for them WOW, I almost ate of them in one day...LOL they are that good. I went to the first TJ in Eagle Rock in the Pasadena area. Use to sell cigarettes and other stuff. Not fit for human consumption today. Food is always good, especially the dairy isle. Great appetizers, everything went up fifty cents. Service is great. The staff smiles at the patrons in the store. The Fairfield store is small. While the Yorba Linda store is the old Vons market. Came to purchase newly released tote bags and she's probably a bagger was extremely rude and obnoxious. Told me to get in line; I was in line as I was just returning some tote bags I grabbed from the box. We shop at this location regularly--about every other week--but our recent experience was extremely disappointing and upsetting. During our last visit, we encountered a black man cashier who behaved in a very unprofessional and immature manner. Every time an item was scanned, it was slammed down aggressively, as if done out of frustration or carelessness. This created an uncomfortable and disrespectful atmosphere that no customer should have to experience. While I considered speaking to a manager at the time, I ultimately chose not to--but this kind of behavior absolutely warrants attention. It raises serious concerns about the training and professionalism of the staff. If this is how loyal customers are treated, we'll have to seriously reconsider shopping here in the future. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures staff are trained to treat all customers with courtesy and respect. read more

Today I did some shopping at TJ Fairfield and usually have great experiences here. I love their products and groceries but had to wait 10 mins to be waited on by Alondra who talked incessantly with a former employee she was checking out. I love how staff are usually very cordial and engage in pleasant conversation but lets keep it moving! There were several people in line behind me and I was next. She talked and talked - pausing for seemingly long minutes (without ringing groceries or bagging them). I kept thinking she was going to realize the delay she was causing but no...not at all. She was quite enjoying the conversation with the lady and her daughter. Then she went on break. Really? Lol. Anyway, got my pumpkins today for Halloween, and lots of other goodies! read more

The prices are great but the space is so little it's a struggle to move through the aisles and get past people. You can't really take your time, this feeling of urgency to get what you need and get out persists. Getting in line is also a hassle there's no direction. And while folks have mentioned employees being cordial and friendly I haven't really felt that anytime I go in. Instead I feel rushed and ignored. Some of the prices can't be beat but I truly don't feel welcomed here. read more

Been here plenty of times and can always find a parking spot close to the entrance. I always love it when TJ's has their seasonal pumpkin flavors! It makes me really excited for the holidays coming up. I come here on the afternoons and most things are well stocked. The produce area is a hit or miss if it's well stocked or not, but I understand since there are shortages going on right now. Would honestly say that I'm probably TJ's #1 customer since I've been shopping at TJ's 99% of the time for groceries since freshman year in college :) TIP: If you're not satisfied with an item, you are able to return it without a receipt. No questions asked! TIP #2: They are not providing samples at this time for grocery items. But, depending on the item they may just give you the box for free to try! read more

I have always had positive experiences at the Fairfield Trader Joe's, however this time stood out high and above the others, so I had to share! A friend suggested I buy my wedding flowers here, which I didn't even know was a possibility, and what a revelation! Not only was it so much more reasonably priced, but we were able to work with Lilly, who was an absolute pleasure. We went in many times throughout the months prior to the wedding, and Lilly was always there to answer any questions we had. She gave us different recommendations and made sure we had a variety to choose from when the big day finally came. She was so kind and patient every single time, which was so refreshing. Such a convenient location with tons of ample parking, making it an easy on/off from the freeway to get their shopping done in a jiffy! Truly a diamond in the rough, since this is the ONE & ONLY location within the immediate Solano County along the I-80 corridor! The location is right off the Travis exit, a stone's throw from the bustlin', hustlin', and poppin' Solano Town Center! - can't complain to hit the mall before/after your TJ's runs! It's too bad that this is the ONLY location in Solano County, as Vacaville SHOULD have one, too - I wonder why they don't LOL. Their aisles are wide, displays are neat & organized, and the overall ambience & environment of this particular location makes grocery shopping fun for everyone! It may seem like a small location, but don't let that deter you from getting your TJ's run - fully-stocked shelves away you here & I've never had trouble of tracking down the items I need, let alone, the ease of being able to spot their seasonal items (Ube craze, ya'll!) without having to ask at the information desk - why they're all gone in an instant! It's a necessity to run for essentials, and Trader Joe's is definitely on the list to be able to do that! They practice social distancing, customers/staff are adhering to CDC guidelines during the current pandemic with the practice of face coverings & easy access to hand sanitizers/wipes throughout the store - which makes it not only enjoyable, but a clean & safe environment for all! I go to Trader Joe's at least once a week and this is the location I frequent the most. TJ's has such great products, both essential and seasonal, so I do most of my grocery shopping here! One great thing about this business is their helpful and friendly staff members. They are so warm and welcoming, and tremendously helpful when you're searching for your staple products or looking for new recommendations. I specifically went shopping today to buy ingredients to make Japchae, and to my surprise, they pretty much had everything I needed! I was concerned about having to stop at another store to buy shitake mushrooms, but I was so relieved to find that they had some! Along with the veggies and protein I needed, I grabbed some of my fave snacks, plus their new Tangerine Cream Bars I found in the freezer section. I'm assuming it's their take on an orange creamsicle, and my hub loves those, so I am really excited for us to try those out!! Trader Joe's is a great place to buy affordable groceries, to explore new and seasonal foods, and to stock up on all your basic pantry and refrigerator staples. I do remember coming in here sometime ago and noticed that most Trader Joe's look the same so I don't think anyone would get lost finding anything here. My sister in-law says that the food here is much healthier than big stores like Walmart. I would definitely suggest shopping here for healthy food. I love Trader Joe's in Fairfield. I just found out that you can try anything in the store before you buy it. Which is the best!

It's a traditional on the bias layout. Unfortunately it was a bad fit in the space allotted. Not sure why this is forced upon a preexisting space. Makes it hard to navigate with normal crowds. At peak times it's a hard pass. As always staff was friendly and helpful. Down to navigating items the layout makes nearly hidden. Works in a pinch for getting all those TJ goodies we've all come to love. read more

I came to this store because my mom brags about. And now I'm going to keep coming back. The store is super clean, with a lot of friendly and helpful staff. I love the selection of foods, and have decided to come here for my main grocery shopping! Everything is well labeled and easy to find. At checkout you are greeted with a smile, and you can actually hold a small convo with the cashier. There isn't a single time I've been here where I've seen a mean employee. Completely disappointed with their flower ordering system. I ordered flowers four days in advance like they suggested only for them to call me the day before stating they couldn't reserve the roses and that they weren't getting the carnations. That's literally why I placed the order. They said I could show up at 8am Saturday morning and buy the roses that I needed since they couldn't hold them for me, as it was first come first serve. I've been shopping at different Trader Joe's for over 30 years. The only complaint I have is their DOG POLICY. Dogs's should NOT be allowed in Grocery stores, it's so unsanitary and potentially dangerous for other shoppers. Of course, "my dog never bites". Today, this woman so proudly had her dog in the shopping cart, but, it was on it's dog bed - that still doesn't make it right or more sanitary. The dog's was climbing on the edges with its dirt paws, and of course didn't stay on the bed. When going thru the check out, she didn't have the courtesy to take dog out and the checker had to take items out of cart and was hesitant to do it. It that why stores provided sanitizer wipes so customers have to clean the cart from feces remnants? Dog owners, leave your dog in the car and leave the AC on, or just leave the dog at home. read more
