Oh how I love thee Trader Joe's. I appreciate all they give to us. The cookie butter, the frozen edamame, the habanero hot sauce, the fresh flowers, the Greek yogurts...just I love you TJ. This particular tj's is spacious and new. It opened last fall...in the height of all things pumpkin. Oh yes!!! Which reminds me we are coming up on fall soon again and you not go anywhere else for your pumpkin necessities. Pies! Breads! Ice creams! Cheeses! Cookies! Yogurts! They probably even have dog treats and vodka with pumpkin in them. So yes...they have a ton of pumpkin stuff. But at tj's you can get your pretty much anything. They even have a good size selection of vitamins/whey powder/detox's. Also On the same aisle is your tea tree soaps (love) etc. Oh and don't forget your wine, beer, or spirits!! If I was anybody else I would only go here for any of those three. Seriously amazing selection with prices that'll kill any mini mart! So go grab a cool rare bottle of moscato, then grab a box of salted caramels, and maybe a little cactus plant and give as a gift. Perfect! My go to store for all things. It is actually like a fun little outing when I head here. I grab a coffee of course, sit it in the baby seat of the shopping cart, and stroll right on thru, feasting my eyes among all the new and different products they seem to come out of nowhere with. And also snatching up our fav go to items. When you shop here for your groceries, and unpack them at your home, every little item feels special. Like you really feel the love coming from the goods of hands that care. It really is something of a treat for all who have a Trader Joes nearby. :) read more

I dont get to Trader Joes often, but anytime Im in town I make sure and stop by to pick up a few items. The orange chicken is delicious! Im picky about store bought chicken products because theyre often full of gristle and weird bits and bobs... but this has so far been perfect with no funny bites. The frozen macarons are wonderful as well! I always keep the tomato less corn salsa on hand, and the frozen chocolate croissants are in the freezer now just waiting for the upcoming weekend! It's a TJ's literally 2 minutes from my house. I don't know what else to say. It's clean, it's fresh, it's two minutes from my house. I try to only come here when the Seahawks are playing and in the evening. So far, parking hasn't been too bad, and neither have the lines. I may try going in the morning when they open. I was so excited to hear there was a location about 20 minutes from my house! I hurried over and felt right at home. All of my favorites were available. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. This Trader Joe's in Kent is and average Trader Joe's store. They have lots of different and some healthier snacks, rather than Safeway's chips. They have also lots of frozen food to buy too. The staff are usually pretty friendly and the inside is also organized and pretty clean, would recommend. read more

Their products are great which was why I chose to shop there, quick fix & delicious. The customer service? Grade A awful. C'mon employee's! I don't warrant a 'Hi, how are you' ? I was treated like I was invisible from the check out stand then I go to the customer service station to ask for a business card. AGAIN! I engage in conversation I get NOTHING. Alright so I'm not drop dead gorgeous but I can assure you I am deserving & befitting some courtesy thank you very much. How about hello? What a great Trader Joe's, full of nice, helpful people! As sizes go, this TJs is pretty big, with wide, bright aisles. The fruit and veggies are all full and clean with a great variety and good prices. The bread section was smaller than others I have seen, but there were a few local items there that my Los Angeles TJs did not carry. At checkout, the lines were super short with a cashier opening just so I didn't have to wait-- even though I was next in line. She easily chatted with my son and I and gave me some great tips about the area. A great experience! read more

I love this location - spacious parking spaces outside, simple layout in the store, quality products and friendly staff. What more could you want? Asian attention!!!! Discriminate stuff work in this store. First time shop in this location, stuffs are very friendly and helpful, expect someone called Allison a greeter who greet people in front of the store. When i walked she was only greet the person who was in front of me and she is a White American. I through maybe Allison missed me, however, when i finished shopping and walked out to the store, when i passed her she did not say goodbye or anything to me, but she was saying good bye and have a great day to the person who just one step behind me. This showed so obvious she has prejudice or discrimination to different race. I believed this is not the first time she did this to our Asian Community. Since she did it so naturally. She was very nice to greet other walk in or walk out customers but except me, she did it so obvious to me. Please train and educate your stuffs to respect human being. Thank you! read more

I got some cheese that expired in October of 2022 and once I got home and opened it, there was mold on it. Extremely disappointing that I had to go back and get a new one. I got Ezekiel tortillas as well to make quesadillas and after I got back from getting the second non-moldy cheese, the tortillas were also moldy. I'm not sure what kind of quality control they are doing but it's extremely horrible. This has happened before and having to go back to get quality is inconvenient. read more

Avery is the best! And I'm sitting in my vehicle outside the store to make sure I post this before we leave. I've always liked this Trader Joe's because it is super clean, well stocked, and the employees are very nice! But Avery made my day today! My kids are chatters and she totally took the time to engage with them and was so kind. Then when we were done checking out, she had my kids get flowers for me! It was so sweet! On January 11th, 2016 a little after 5pm I was shamed and embarrassed for breastfeeding my 3 week old son at this Trader Joe's location. My husband, 4 year old, 18 month old, and 3 week old were all picking up groceries for dinner that night. We had been running around Tacoma and Puyallup for my newborn son's appointments that day, and I was pretty exhausted. So naturally when my newborn woke up to eat in the store, I fed him. (Attached is a photo of how I was walking through the store.) Once we were finished shopping we went up to employee Madison's line. My husband took care of paying, while I helped my 4 year old get her coat on. By the time I was done with my daughter, my husband had finished paying. We shop at this Trader Joe's every month, and she knows they have stickers for kids. She politely asked for some, and he completely ignored her. I figured he might not have heard her, so I asked him if my daughter could have some stickers. He responded to me by saying "Maybe next time!" I gave him a confused look, and he continued to say in a very loud, condescending tone, and in front of a busy store... "I'm having a really hard time looking at your right now, and you are making me really uncomfortable." All while looking down and refusing to make eye contact with me. I was completely shocked, and embarrassed. I then walked up to management to let them know about this humiliating exchange. Max (a manger) was very apologetic and told me that it was not okay. He assured me that he would talk to Madison about the unacceptable behavior. I definitely appreciate how management handled the situation. This is for YOU Madison.... I hope you get a chance to read this. You use to be one of my favorite employees at this Trader Joes. I thought your customer service skills were always on point, and you were always so helpful. Even my husband thought highly of you! I picked your line that night because you were my favorite employee in that store. So imagine my surprise when you publicly shamed and embarrassed me for nurturing my son. You made me feel little. That what I was doing was so insulting to you, that you refused to give my daughter some stickers. Who were you trying to punish by refusing to give stickers to a child? Me or her? Because you were punishing her. Thankfully the sweet employee at the register behind you helped my beautiful daughter. I don't care if you don't agree with public breastfeeding. That doesn't give you a right to treat a nursing mother the way you did. You probably made this a big deal thinking people would agree with you. But no one did! Everyone looked at you with shock and disbelief on the way you treated me. Even your mangers were shocked when I told them about your crude behavior. If you can not handle looking or serving business to a breastfeeding mother, please leave the customer service industry. Many mother WILL breastfeed their hungry kids in public. I WILL continue to shop at this Trader Joes. I WILL continue to breastfeed my son in this store. And I WILL NOT hide from you! You will not make me feel bad for doing what's best for my son. Be thankful my very aware 4 year old was with me. I would have really given you a piece of my mind, and made more people aware of the asshole that you were already being to me. Instead, I just walked away. But be wary, next time you say anything like that to me or another breastfeeding mom... We may not walk away and you might not be able to handle what will be said back to you. You fully lost my respect today, and I will no longer boast about "That guy Madison, the awesome Trader Joes employee." But I will treat you with the same respect that you couldn't show me that night. read more

We recently moved from Issaquah to Covington. I was surprised to find the Trader Joes in Kent was nicer. I love this Trader Joes specifically because it has great parking and extra wide aisles. I hate feeling like I'm constantly in everyone's way no matter where I stop with the cart. With the layout of this store, I don't feel that way at all. I like coming here to get freezer staples. The mandarin chicken and gyozas are bomb! This TJs also sells liquor at affordable prices. The employees are super friendly as well. read more

I agree with other reviews, this is a nice and spacious store. Quality is good. Prices are ok. The check out process can take a while if you have a full cart but they are pretty quick. I'm not the biggest fan of Trader Joes, especially some of their meats and limits on options on a few things but they do have a few products that I stop and get regularly. the frozen section is amazing and they have some great products. read more

Our new to go grocery store. So glad we don't have to commute all the way to Federal Way just to shop at one. Everything is inexpensive. I'm hooked on their macaroons and lava cake. My baby is a picky eater, but she will eat squash risotto, ravioli, and their meatballs. So glad for their delish frozen food. It's just hard to cook something good at times with a baby. I love this place. The location is clean and well stocked, and the employees are always so kind and considerate. Once, a worker was putting a cart back but I was trailing behind him to get a cart myself. When he turned around and noticed me he said, "Oh my gosh! I'm sorry, if I knew you were behind me I would've given you a cart!" Just yesterday I bought ice cream here and the cashier put it in a separate plastic produce bag for me before putting it in the paper bag with the rest of my items so it wouldn't melt or get all over the place. I will never not give Trader Joe's a 5 star review. The trader Joe's I visit in is Kent, and I live in Buckley. For those of you not in Washington state, that's a 40 minute drive! And I do it with my toddler. Usually my TJ's trips are big when I go because it is so far away. The Kent Tj's is very clean, has a good selection and the employees are always friendly. The jasmine rice, mac and cheese, mini ice cream cones, jalapeno cilantro hummus, three cheese pasta sauce, and everything bagel seasoning are my top items to buy. If I had to choose one item to recommend...please try the jalapeno cilantro hummus! read more

FINALLY Trader Joe's in KENT!!! - since first reading it in the newspaper they were coming I have been counting the days. The day arrived and it is a MEGA success! of course I went on opening day and the store was packed, packed with customers like myself who are like a kid in a candy shop - and staffed with a fabulous workforce. I am additional fortunate in the fact it is close enough that I can even walk to it. This Trader Joe's opened up a few months ago about 15 minutes away from my house, and I couldn't be any happier. It is a lovely grocery store. It's always clean, the staff is so upbeat and friendly, and the food choices are through the roof. New products are always being introduced too. My only complaint? Still a fan of TJ's, but I'm updating my review after a colleague tipped me off to the value of their wine selection. While the produce continues to be of disappointing value for the price, and the cheeses too limited compared to other boutique grocery stores, you can get all you need for wine here, even when compared to other stores. After diving into a love for Malbecs, I'm now enjoying all that Argentina has to offer in their stores. The staff here is very friendly, but I'm really here for the wine. The vintages here could easily sell for $20-$40 at most locations, but here you will hardly spend $10 a bottle so you can stock up, have time to go somewhere else with better cheese and veggies, and get home to enjoy your high quality wine at home for a fraction of the price going out. My only issue with this store is the location, because they need to put a TJ's down in Kent Station, so the rest of us don't have to leave the Valley for unbeatable wine deals. Transit options here are not great, and walking/ biking up that hill in the summer heat or through a veil of smoke is a non starter. Beat the traffic and get there early before all the suburban moms arrive with their children. Ever tried to get up this way and back down to downtown Kent after work? Nobody does. read more

This was my first time shopping in a Trader Joe's (been in Alaska for awhile) and what the HELL. Good thing I noticed before I took a sip of my coffee that the coconut creamer I just purchased was filled with MOLD. I bought two, and both were nasty. Sell by date is May 2018- y'all better check them all! I'm not surprised to find this because judging by their defrosted freezer section (took me ages to find good mochi and ice cream that wasn't melted) the store isn't in the best of condition. I just had the best customer service experience. The checker accidentally missed 2 bags of my groceries that she had to set behind her because she had no room. When I got home-I discovered I was missing 10 items. I called-they immediately located it-and to my complete surprise-got my address and delivered it to me-and also handed me flowers and said they didn't want me to go back out. My heart is so full how kind and caring this business is. Thank you Trader Joes!!! read more
