I come to this Trader Joe's often and I never felt the need to write a review until I met River. He was so helpful, happy, and charismatic. He made my whole checkout experience absolutely amazing which is saying a lot because it was meant to be a very normal one. Giving this Trader Joe's 5 stars only because I had the best experience here thanks to Alicia. I get so overwhelmed going to TJ on Sundays given it's one of the stores busiest days but today I had to come in & just as expected it was crazy busy. My social anxiety was over the moon & if it wasn't for Alicia helping me I honestly wouldn't have been able to get my grocery shopping done. She guided me & helped me gather my ingredients on a timely manner as well as recommended some new items to try. Her lovely personality & charismatic attitude made coming here my worthwhile. I am disappointed to say the least. I have spent countless dollars at this establishment over the past decade. I love the product however the service keeps me away. I am tired of seeing young employees stand around pretending to stock while talking about what they did last night. It doesn't take three people to stock cheese! Not to mention the irritation on their face as if I was in their way. The final straw was when my niece and daughter went after school to grab some dinner and they were paying with a P-EBT card and a gift card. P-EBT is part of the Covid relief effort for low income families. This is not standard EBT and is not an ongoing benefit. It's a one time deal. So my niece attempted to pay and the cashier was extremely irritated and made a scene about the POS machine not working. It wouldn't have worked if I used my credit card, but began to say it was because of the EBT card. Then huffed his way to the other register to complete the check out process. My niece and daughter felt humiliated. They will never go back and it's sad because they love TJ's and the healthy living standard set by this company. But an awful experience broke them. I've been shopping at this only location of TJ for many years and I've noticed that the staff has become very unpleasant. No greetings, no smiles. Either they have less people working there who are that busy that don't pay attention at the customers, or they just don't care due to the fact that this is the only store we have around. Last week the cashier dropped the strawberries I was paying for, hid the ones that fell really fast under the table, and threw the ones on the register inside my shopping bag like nothing happened. I pretended I didn't see anything. The price signs they place throughout the store are wrong or missing and you have to guess. Same thing happened today with the flowers I was buying. The price tag said one price, I had to pay a completely different one. And then they assure you that the price is still great and they sell them out really fast. I have read that the other locations are friendly and professional. Not in here. read more

So typically I don't write reviews for establishments with a high rating already because we already know it's good, but Marc's service was worth writing about! I have been shopping at this location since I moved here in June - and I really just kept going because I'm used to shopping at Trader Joe's not because the actual store was exceptional - it's clean, they're always stocking items, and it's kind of just like every other Trader Joe's I've shopped at (I've lived in San Francisco and Redlands before, so I've been their loyal consumer for about 5-6 years). This evening Marc changed my view on this location - he was super personable - gave eye contact, had a conversation about the items I was trying out, and was friendly, seemed genuinely interested in my TJ's experience - people might think that's normal, but not that anyone is outright rude or unhelpful, but there have been times where cashiers will just rush me through or talk over me to the neighboring cashier. My friend lives nearby this location so I stopped by to pick up a few things before going to her house. This Trader Joe's is located in a small plaza with McDonald's and some other small shops. Parking is plentiful as it is in a plaza. They always have samples of food and coffee inside every Trader Joe's so you can always try something new. This location is also very clean and maintained well with stocked shelves. I have always had great service from friendly staff as well. read more

While helping Mom clear out the fridge over Father's Day weekend, I saw a variety of TJ brand sliced ham packets, sealed & tucked away in a corner (pandemic shopping means panic buying). I was ready to take & eat them myself despite being slightly over expiration. But I just came down w/ flu-like symptoms: Sudden onset of constant sneezing which turned out to HAY FEVER?? So I waited until the following morning to stop by, during senior hour, to ask Patrick the manager if he will check the packets, & he kindly swapped them out for me!! It is a small store but it has its own concept. You know that you are at Trader joe's when you can find specific items such as crème fraîche, french brioche or pains au lait, cornichons, dijon mustard, herbes de Provence, and of course staff with island shirts. There is a good variety of cheeses and they are fairly priced. The selection of nut butters and spread is large. I rarely buy meats or fish there because I find them average but their prepackaged cooked meats like the grass-fed roast sirloin, pork belly or carnitas are delicious. Prices are more than reasonable. You won't leave your whole paycheck. read more

I love Trader Joes. Sure they are a bit pricey but I already expect them to be and they tend to have some stuff on clearance from time to time. I usually buy some of their international foods and organic products as well as some of their trademark drinks which are so tasty. I have loved coming to this Trader Joe's. I have had no issue prior. However, I had a terrible experience today. A cashier was extremely rude to my 4 year old son. And even so much as made fun of the way he was laughing and saying she was scared. I have submitted a complaint to the store. No child should be spoken to in the way that mine was. Something is crkracking at TJ's. My return of tj's pita bite crackers was thankfully granted. The second box was the same as the first. Instead of whole crackers it was mostly Mostly, broken pieces. Wherever they are being produced something is going wrong or someone is having fun crunching the bags to break up crackers in the majority or the bags. What's going on. TJ's had bad reviews at time re their taco shells being cracked up into pieces also. Now my favorite pita bites. Get it back right please. read more

I love Trader Joe's!. This is one of the biggest locations I have been in which is a really nice change to be able to walk through and not bump into people. The products are just freaking fabulous! Over time we have tried about any and everything they have and its all been more or less top notch! Newest obsession, the smores ice cream sandwiches, yuuum! Another highlight would be the samples, they really go all out, its been tacos with salsa and guac, pulled pork sammies with chips and last weekend stuffed peppers and microgreens. Plates, for free!!! How can you not give them 5 stars?!! Prices are more than fair, in fact the cheapest you will find at any healthier or organic chain. On thursday night upon arriving in LA from NYC, I bought. 2 california rolls in brown rice and avocado. I was starving and had 1 right away. About 3 hours later, I became very nauseas, major headache and vomitted. Even the next morning I had a major headache. Today, I had to come back to get other items for an elderly relative and informed the person sitting in the managers booth. He was very cordial, white guy, dark brown/black beard, but did not take any notes on my experience. I gave him one of the packages that was still on the shelve and he put it to the side. I repeatedly asked him to make sure this is reported because the reaction was severe for me but could be much worst for an elderly person. I am a long time trader joes believer but found the lack of urgency or immediate interest in writing this report very disturbing. Keep in mind that I was not even asking for a refund on those 2 california rolls. They need to put in a better and more urgent process in place for situations like this at every store. read more

Can't beat a cheap wine that is so very delicious as well! I also love their reduced guilt Mac and cheese. Off the chain to be a frozen food! And finally, their hold the cone ice creams are dreamy. I've probably been going to this Trader Joe's for about 2 years off and on. They have a decent selection of fruits and vegetables. The salads and prepackaged lunches are definitely worth trying. I enjoy going to the sample area which is located towards the back of the store. It's sandwiched between the meats and milk items. They always have coffee samples to try ( this brings me joy ). I enjoy picking up a variety of items from frozen dinners to seaweed or trail mix. They have a kids corner towards the opposite side of the store near the cashiers. There are magnets and small shopping carts for the kids to push around the store. Make sure to bring your own bags in order to be entered into the monthly raffle for a gift certificate to Trader Joes. read more

Those of you who purchased Trader Joe's recycle bags to save the environment. Forget about bringing them in to the store or any other type of recycle bags. Management is germaphobic and won't let you put any bag on the counter, unless you purchase one of their Trader Joe's paper bags for 10 cents. The cashiers MAKE you take all of your purchases outside the store and pack your groceries on a dirty unsanitized table. This is how your treated for being a loyal customer. What can I say? How do you not love coming here? When I do though, I try to bring limited cash and cards as you will end up buying the store! I've been coming to this location for at least 8 years now and everyone is usually pretty friendly. I do try to come when they open to avoid the busy parking lot and the crowds.
