This is about flowers only. For the second time in a row I've bought flowers at this Trader Joe's and when I unpack them they're wilting or dead. It's hard to see when they're all scrunched up but as soon as you take them apart they flop over and I have to throw half of it out. I buy weekly flowers from Trader Joe's in Arlington and I find them to be terrific. Everything else about the Reston Trader Joe's is fine but I would avoid the flowers at the shop.

Our haul- pork tenderloin, tomatoes (for bruschetta), flowers, succulent, vegetable bird's nest

I love this Trader Joe's branch. It's so close to Reston Town Center and other little shops as well as Home Depot so I get to drop off the hubby while I do some grocery shopping! I came in here with my sister to get some Valentine's dinner and goodies. We lucked out with the parking spot and got a nice spot right away. The place was packed! Everyone was doing some last minute shopping like us. They had some really nice flowers that weren't as expensive as the roses (I think they're too overrated anyway). My sister got a bunch of purple flowers for less than $4 and they looked so pretty. She also got a small succulent as a nice Vday present which costed $1.99 (score!). They had a tasting for the chocolate heart shaped cake and it was delicious. They also had a few samples of wine and some Secco bottles (see pictures). The guy giving us the wine samples explained to us what the Secco was and was very patient with us. I tried the strawberry and peach bottles. Both were so good that we ended up getting one bottle of each. I was planning on making some breakfast for dinner so it would really go well with our meal. I can't wait! I got a couple of vegetable bird's nest boxes for appetizers. I've heard some good reviews for it so I wanted to try it for myself. I also got a whole loaf of french baguette to go with my home made bruschetta sauce for appetizers. My sister got some pork tenderloin that another customer told us she loves getting and even shared her recipe with us (double score). This is one of the reasons why I love TJs, everyone's so friendly! I can't wait to come back for more shopping adventures.

Section Europe, ill have a side of cheese with my wine(s)!

Trader Joe's is not some Joe Schmo of a grocery store. They have locations all over NOVA/DC with a small-town image. This location is smaller than I anticipated but it's the closest one to me and my curiosity got me to stop by to see why everyone raves about it. It's easy to see why people love the fresh protein and veggies and there's a good amount of non-GMO and organic items to be found. I was hoping to find sandwiches (maybe I didn't look in the right section) but I settled for their turkey and spinach wrap which was almost close enough. Of course I couldn't come just for a quick bite so I ventured to the beer/wine section. This was what people rave about: exclusive craft beers and inexpensive international wines. Don't bother coming for Bud light or yellow tail Chardonnay, take your bland selves to the 7-11 on elden street if that's what you came for. Expand your mind to uniqueness such as watermelon IPA from Ballaste Point or their $7.99 Portico Da Ria Albariño from the white exotic grapes of Spain; both purchased by yours truly. Trader Joe's, you've found your way to my heart and soul and on my rotation of grocery stores. If anyone knows if they carry sandwiches (or pizza), point me to that direction!

    Yum!

RESTON WHOLE FOODS NO LONGER SAFE FOR WOMAN - NO SECURITY…read more This is for the SAFETY reason of this area and WOMEN should stay away from this whole-foods area at Reston. I was at this Reston Whole Foods location to pick up grocery. I parked at designated pickup area spot 2 to pick up my groceries. A very nice associate came to load the groceries. This is my weakly routine I pick up grocery from Whole Foods after work or on the weekend. While she was groceries a whole food a customer white male told me to move to which both associate and myself were a little stunned since this is the grocery pickup spot. The white male then proceed to yell at me "cunt whore and he will fuck me" and continued his yelling. There are other Whole Foods in northern Va and other grocery store. He was upset that I was at the designated pickup spot (where I should be). He was verbally abusive, aggressive, sexist, racist and a danger to any women customers in the area. He wanted whoever is picking him up to come to the grocery pickup spot I had parked. This is odd because basically he wants me to move from a grocery pickup spot so he can have it. Keep in mind I'm in the middle of still getting my grocery picked up my door is open and Whole Foods lady is still loading the car. Again to clarify this is all happening right in front of the store online grocery pick up area. The Whole Foods manager said they cannot do anything. They do not know the security staff WHICH IS VERY CONCERNING. So if anything ever happens to any female customer the the Whole Foods managers don't even know the security officer. This whole-foods staff literary does not care or can ensure minimum safety for any customers specially women. Don't come here. IF YOU ARE A WOMAN, STAY AWAY FROM THIS WHOLE FOODS. They do not have any security in the area. If someone comes and is aggressive with you there is no one to help or save you or diffuse the situation. I was lucky I got away with only verbal abuse and curse words. This unruly customer will probably come to this store again and next time will most likely abuse another woman and get away with it.

Their seafood department deserves special recognition. The fish is exceptionally fresh, and the employees are knowledgeable and happy to prepare it however you prefer. That level of customer service makes a huge difference. The international grocery selection is one of the best I've seen. They carry authentic products from many countries, including items that are nearly impossible to find elsewhere. If you enjoy cooking international cuisine, you'll probably leave with more than you planned to buy. Another thing that impressed me was how clean and organized the store is. Everything is neatly displayed, making shopping easy and enjoyable. The staff is approachable, patient, and always willing to answer questions or help you find what you need. I was also amazed by the flower section. I purchased gorgeous roses at a great price, and they looked fresher and more beautiful than flowers I've seen at many traditional grocery stores. The fruits and vegetables were equally impressive--beautiful, fresh, and in excellent condition. Fresh World has earned a loyal customer. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for outstanding quality, exceptional service, and one of the best international grocery shopping experiences in the area. Five stars without hesitation.
