Got drinks quickly, nice pours, AMAZING BAND 12/20 (didn't catch the band name), mixed crowd so it was fun!!

THIS IS NOT THE PLACE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! Bartender was an unnecessary asshole. Approached the bar to ask for a straw, the bartender was engaged with a patron at the bar so I stood quietly and patiently to wait my turn and he decided to stop mid conversation and aggressively ask what I wanted. When I asked for a straw he gave me attitude about how I didn't need one. The straws were on the bar top and I could have just taken one but was trying to be polite. When I mentioned this to the bartender that was now holding a straw but not handing it over the bartender said "yeah, you could have but then I would have tackled you and taken your drink." WOW!! Honestly at this point I'm shocked I didn't just walk out but I was kind of dumbfounded that he was so put out by giving me a one cent straw that I just stood there as he started "taunting" me by holding out the straw but when I reached for it he would pull back. *so mature* Worst 90 seconds of an interaction I had with any establishment or person on all of Flagler Ave. and in NSB. As others have mentioned, this definitely isn't the vibe. Plenty of other great places to spend your money and have a great experience. Don't waste your time or your money! read more

Bartender with the big elbow was a complete jerk. They would be smart to let him go. Showed our IDs at the door, ordered drinks, drank our drinks. Then I realized I was dehydrated from a long day in the sun and needed some water; went back up to the bar to order some water and the bartender asked for my ID, naturally, I gave a little chuckle as anyone would- I didn't know I would need to show an ID for water- but he just looked at me with a straight face. I obeyed his request and as I was handing him my ID, I told him we showed our ID in order to enter the establishment and he proceeded to say that I was giving him "Lip". I tried explaining that all we wanted was WATER, AND how we had already ordered our drinks at this very same bar. I had two of my friends come up and give it a try- and each time, we were denied because we were apparently giving him "Lip"- seemed like this Ahole decided how to treat us before we even approached him. Also, is it legal to deny someone water? I ask because despite being perplexed by his request, we DID still show him our IDs. We are not spring breakers, we are all well overage and behaved, and we were severely disrespected. Back patio is really nice for live music. . However The bartender did not offer another drink when i told her the club-soda vodka tasted like mold . . The soda lines need to be cleaned or replaced . . Handed them back and walked out . . We go here all-the time ! read more

Service is terrible. Old male Bartender is mouthy and writes recipes for random drinks and refuses to charge for what was ordered. Gets agitated and runs his mouth to customers without coming out from behind bar like a sissy. Typical crowd is tourists who have no place here and believe they are better than others. Drinks are over priced and under poured. As a local I'd go across the street to literally any other bar. read more

Drinks are cheap but the old guy there is an ahole. There were about 5 other people in the bar and we all bought drinks and started playing pool, and had the old worker come up to us saying we were " hitting the balls too hard" and we will have to "leave after this round". Spent too much money and time on this place and would never come back. read more

bartender asked me for a drink and when i said i will be at the bar in a sec, he asked for my id then decided to bend it and inspect it like he's a cop. then proceededs to tell me it's good and pats me on the shoulder 3 times. like first off don't touch your guest and second off and didn't even come up to the bar yet, yet your asking for my ID. if so where is your door man? just crazy to experience. he should be a cop the way he is asking for id's. made me and my gf leave and we will never come back. glad we didn't spend our money. read more

The employees (beside the man at the door who was just doing their job) are absolutely disgusting. Me and my 2 friends who are newly 21 peacefully went and sat down and ordered our drinks after being carefully inspected by the bouncers for no reason and as my friends go to another table and the bartender hands me my friends change who bought me and my other friend our drinks accuse me of stealing it and "not getting his tip" when I told him I would get my friend so he could tip him and that I was his friend and I'm not stealing his money by any means as he literally handed it to me even though it was $5 so he shoulda assumed it was a tip anyway and he tried to say I was lying about my relationship with my friend when HE SAW US WALK IN AND SIT NEXT TO EACHOTHER and I gave him back the money and insisted he gave the money to my friend himself if he thinks I'm stealing and he then proceeds to threaten to kick me out even tho I gave no sort of response to illicit that kind of disrespect to then I said alright I'm leaving and tell my friends to come with to where the bartender talks to both of them on the side and after my friends said I'm associated with them they proceeed to ban them both and accuse us of underaged drinking. I have never experienced anything like this in my life and I'm not sure what I possibly did to get this type of treatment when all i did was try to ask you for another drink when you actively came up to me and asked. It's just baffling I'm sure what to make of it but this place is not a good environment for newcomers or young folk, staff likes to make something out of something for no reason even though we're paying to be there but hey it's whatever. read more

We had a great time here this past weekend. There is live music both inside and outside. We spent most of our time on the patio and had a lot of fun. The drink prices seemed comparable to some of the other bars we hit, and their Fireball price was almost $2 cheaper than the place we went for dinner. The crowd seemed very diverse and people were having a lot of fun dancing and laughing. It was a bit too warm inside but it was a beautiful evening and their patio was a great setting with a nice smattering of tables. Waitstaff was mostly good, with a slight misunderstanding of an order that was fixed quickly. I'm not sure if they have drink specials because we did not ask on this visit. We would come back, seems like the night time crowd is a lot of fun on the weekends. read more

Well it's apparent since the new face lift this place hadn't been reviewed I will snap a photo next time I'm on Flagler it's not the same. It's Tuesday night mostly locals the streets are empty and this is a great spot to have a few drinks with friends and what a deal no place that I know of can a couple drink mix drinks for over two hours and cash out for 30 bucks don't know what a red bull and Ketel One cost but I had more than several. It was low key and you could actually carry on a conversation. But this is not the norm on the weekend get ready to let your hair down and the party is on. You will find every personally you could ever think of rednecks to high society great music and lots of alcohol flowing so let the timid be warned. ROCK ON!!!!! read more

Traders' - Jazz & Blues Near Me - New Smyrna Beach, Florida

This IS NOT the place to go. Went here with some friends who are locals to the area. We were told we could put our bicycles on the back patio while we were there. (Our bikes are custom built High End rigs That we were out riding on the first day of sunshine after almost two weeks of rain.) After we were told by one of the staff that it was fine, we were then agressivly confronted by a shorter, pudgy woman telling us we could not have them there and we needed to leave. I offered to give them a few bucks, if we could keep them there. (Offered the money cause I figured they were taking up a few seats that could have had paying customers in them) We were then chased out by some wannabe older bald men, trying to intimidate us. There are tons of other places to go in this area and not be treated like a second class citizen. There are tons of other reviews here that reflect how poorly people were treated here. Traders, Where to begin? From the moment I walked into the door I was greeted with the aroma of failure. What does that smell like? Well i'll tell you. It's sort of a combination of suntan lotion, cigarettes, and cheap cologne. The inside of the place sort of reminded me of the movie Hot Tub Time Machine. If you haven't seen it, it's about a bunch of Men going through mid life crisis. They go into a bar and try to relive their glory days. Which even writing that is making me sort of depressed. No more depressing than waiting 5 minutes at the door to be treated like I was 15 with an Arizona License. Never in my life has it taken someone so long to add up the years. The decor looked as if the owner had cut out a bunch of cereal tops and mailed them in for posters. It made me want to get drunk in a hurry, so I guess it served it's purpose. My friends and I picked a corner spot and decided to shoot a game of pool. Service was good and our server was very friendly so all set aside we decided to stay. All of a sudden some drunken idiot stumbled into my friend while she was about to shoot. When she asked him what the deal was he yelled at her and threw a piece of chalk on the table. Then proceeded screaming at her and getting into her face. He should've been kicked out but oh wait, He was the owner. I will say this, judging by his establishment I had him in my mind as way worse. He looked as if he hailed from Jersey and was telling the weather forecast to my friend's face. Who would treat paying customers, not to mention three of the five girls in the establishment this way? From what I heard around town and during the situation taking place, this is nothing unusual for Dave. He's lucky people still come into that hole in the wall. If you're looking at Flagler Ave. as a place to party, Don't. But if you don't have a choice there are plenty of other places to stumble to. Hell, i'd even go to peanuts first. read more

Excellent service. Honestly just drank beer there, they had a good price on a selection of Kona beers. Good band but really loud inside. We went twice, once on the weekend when the patio was open and enjoyed that more. read more

I love heading out there and listening to live music. I especially go because it is one of the places I can catch J Micah Morse live. This guy is the greatest and you should have him here more frequently. I love his Blues and especially his hit "If the Blues is so bad." Cannot wait to see him on Friday Dec 3, 2021. read more

We came here for a NSB event. As the employees smoked and vaped as they took our order. They proceeded to kick us out with our dog even though we were sitting outside.We walked by the very next day and there was dog inside at a table: i get it if you don't want dogs but make a decision and don't smoke in my child's face as you take my other. read more

Never in my adult life have I ever been refused service at a bar. Until this weekend, at this establishment. And not because I was being rude, or obnoxious, or already too drunk to be served. It wasn't that I demanded any type of unreasonable service from the mostly polite staff members. But because, in one of your bartender's exact words, "you didn't tip on the first drink you bought"... Now don't get we wrong. I will always tip my bartender at the end of the night, under the circumstance that they are willing to accommodate to the simplest of tasks that their job entails. But apparently not tipping for EVERY single drink you buy, and not to mention the 8+ drinks purchased by the group of friends I arrived with (aka: PAYING CUSTOMERS!!!), is enough to get you officially blacklisted here. From that moment on there wasn't even the slightest bit of doubt that I would never give this place my business again, until some serious changes are made. The staff and atmosphere at Traders is top notch. They are very quick with drink orders and super friendly compared to other clubs of this ilk. I actually bought more than I normally would because the staff was so friendly and attentive. THAT is how your run a successful business! In almost any big city Traders would be considered a dive bar, but in NSB it's a hotspot. They don't have a "large" selection of beer but they do have great drink specials. They also have live music and a dj. Definitely a place to check out if you're in NSB. read more

Never going back. Boycott this place. I went one night and thought that my tab had been padded. We went back again and made sure to count every drink and sure enough extra drinks were added to the tab. Thanks for ripping us off. I confronted the bar tender and we were asked to leave. We went there on a Monday night to watch the football game. They have a big-screen projector TV, and a decent sound system, so it worked well. We got there early, and made use of one of their two pool tables. They have a full bar, but no food; they are happy to order it from Clancy's, which is a short walk away (they provide the menu, you just have to go pick it up). The bartender was great and very helpful. Unfortunately, our team got smoked, but we had a great time anyway. I recommend it as a nice place in general, but also good to watch a game. read more

Came here for the Blues fest. Not really a fest just diff bands bar hopping playing blues. Good music cool outdoor patio. Drinks are pricey. No indoor smoking which was a plus for me. read more

I am glad that after all these years of going to NSB I finally went in to Traders on a Friday night. The place had a good mixture of locals and snowbirds and my niece and I had a blast dancing to live music and people watching. They offered two for one drinks. We enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back to dance and drink with the locals again. read more

@ $5 bucks a beer they rank among the most expensive cold beers on flagler. Thursday is $3 red stripe which is a good deal and fun. watch the tourist and locals mix it up on the dance floor as the DJ stumbles through song selections. read more

Not sure if this place is a "dive bar" sports bar or roadhouse? Cheap drinks ( 2 dollar Red Strip), 8+ TV with sports, live music. Would not take the kids here. Hot dogs and free popcorn if you need it. read more

Growing up at the Jersey Shore, I have seen my share of bars and clubs. Based on my experience, I rate Traders as a first class beach bar. The bar and outside deck are roomy and very clean. The staff including barkeeps, servers, and bouncers are friendly yet professional. I see a couple of negative reviews. These folks were at a different bar or just condescending jerks. read more

Traders' always provides a good time. Everytime I've been there, they have had a live band with a DJ playing disco music during sets. It's very entertaining to watch people dance. Traders' seems to draw a very diverse crowd, which makes for some excellent people watching. They have a full bar with a very helpful staff. read more

I love Traders! Great bands and fun atmosphere. The owner has made several wonderful changes to the building that has made Traders even better and more fun to go to. this is one place 2member! We started at the end of the 'ave' at larger bar. Nicelydone but very cold. Staff 2busy talking to each other to pay attn 2 the customers unless they were making jabs at my daughter. We walked down the 'ave' to a few other little places but not much was going on for a Sunday night. traders ended our night. If you go, go out back to a big bald man! Sweet bloke who made great drinks and conversation with out hitting on my daughter the whole night. Great way to end a dreary day. Wish found pub sooner will be back again in a few months! read more
