Well it's apparent since the new face lift this place hadn't been reviewed I will snap a photo next time I'm on Flagler it's not the same. It's Tuesday night mostly locals the streets are empty and this is a great spot to have a few drinks with friends and what a deal no place that I know of can a couple drink mix drinks for over two hours and cash out for 30 bucks don't know what a red bull and Ketel One cost but I had more than several. It was low key and you could actually carry on a conversation. But this is not the norm on the weekend get ready to let your hair down and the party is on. You will find every personally you could ever think of rednecks to high society great music and lots of alcohol flowing so let the timid be warned. ROCK ON!!!!!

Picketts has completely renovated the space, very clean, nice bar area and seating area. I was greeted by the bartender when I walked in. Ordered the fish sandwich and clam chowder to go. Bartender was very polite, talked about the location, speciality dips, market and spoke of the family who owned the location. I saw a review about the prices. Like much of the New Smyrna restaurant scene, this place isn't cheap but the portions were very big and the quality matched the price in my opinion. I split the fish sandwich with my wife (I'm 6'3 200 pounds, not going to disclose her weight lol) and I was full after. My wife remarked the fish sandwich tasted similar to Hillstones fish sandwich in Orlando (IYKYK). Overall a good experience, coming back in a week to buy some dips and fish from the market.

We visited today and oh boy what a wonderful difference. Clean as a new penny and the decor was creative and spot on. The fresh and I mean fresh seafood in the market is maintained by Zack, the most pleasant and knowledgeable young man I've met in a while. Our server and cashier was so nice and helpful that she took us in the back to see future renovations and some darn great pictures of fish caught by the Picketts. The entrees were extensive, featuring the freshest of local seafood and great shellfish and shrimp. We had chargrilled oysters, grilled swordfish and an oyster po'boy and all agreed everything was phenomenal and the tradition shall continue. Thanks Picketts for our experience.

It is a bit on the messy side, but that's to be expected with a well-stuffed breakfast burrito. My only issue with the food was the breakfast potatoes--they were noticeably undercooked and still had a raw crunch to them. The coffee was fantastic and came out quickly, which was a nice surprise. The service was also impressive. Despite working behind a very small counter, the team moved efficiently and kept everything flowing smoothly. The one thing that gave me pause was how the coffee was served. It came out without lids, and while customers were leaning over to grab their food, they were talking directly above the uncovered cups. I'm sure no one intended anything by it, but from a guest's perspective it wasn't the best look and raised a small hygiene concern. A simple change, like placing the coffee on one side and food on the other would be a much better aesthetic. Overall, Luma delivers great food, excellent coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere. With a small tweak to the coffee service and a little more attention to the breakfast potatoes, this would easily be one of my favorite breakfast spots on Flagler Avenue.
