I had also accepted the quote for installing some extra ductwork, but they discovered that they would not be able to do that during the installation of the HVAC system. When they discovered that they couldn't complete that, we discussed having an attic fan installed. After the heat pump was installed, I had some correspondence with Sean with questions about the attic fan, and eventually he just stopped responding to my texts. And emails. And phone calls. I haven't gotten a phone call back from Nordic despite being told a couple times now that I would receive a call back. I reached out via email and although I have received an apology and an assurance that someone would be out to fix the drywall hole created when they were determining whether they could install ductwork as well as install the attic fan, I was never given a date or a time. I tried to call and got their voicemail, but then received an automated text message offering to continue the conversation via text, which I accepted. I sent all of my concerns over, and received another apology and assurances that I would hear back from them, I never did. I had accepted the quote because of the promise that I would receive a rebate for installing a heat pump. Between the more sustainable option and the competitive price point offered, it was the best choice. When I reached out by email to offer one last chance for this company to make it right, the response I received did not include any information about the rebate. When I sent the text, I was told I would receive information about the rebate, but I still haven't heard back. And I haven't received the rebate. I'm just so alarmed by the communication issues. The installation of the HVAC system overall was fine and it works great. But the fact that I can't get an answer about the rebate that they supposedly filed for me, along with no straight answers regarding the attic fan installation and the drywall repair, is concerning. I'm just absolutely baffled and extremely frustrated. I have genuinely tried to be patient and work with them, but I can't keep waiting and I want to issue this warning to others in case this is a pattern. If you need strong, consistent communication from the company that you're working with to get your HVAC needs met, this is not the company for you. Or maybe you'll have better luck. Also, maybe beware of talk about rebates.

When I later scheduled a diagnostic visit for a non-cooling AC unit, the technician misidentified which condenser served which zone of the house and diagnosed a bad capacitor on the wrong unit. I paid a diagnostic fee but was left troubleshooting the actual problem myself after realizing the unit that was diagnosed was not the unit experiencing the issue. Mistakes happen, but the combination of poor follow-through, lack of attention to detail, and ongoing communication issues has left me with very little confidence in the company. At my request, Devin provided me with information about replacement HVAC systems as well as the discount incentives being offered by Xcel Energy and other companies. He also suggested their monthly service plan and explained how that worked without seemingly like an upsell or hard sell.
