They have been extremely helpful and easy to work with a number of issues that I've had - always pleasant, always working to make your life easy on the course and always striving to (and achieving) give the guest the best possible golf experience. Also, if you are a bird watcher and lover, you cannot top the several hawks that live on the third and fourth holes, and which can be seen elsewhere throughout the course. Blown away!!! Until…read morerecently, I had absolutely no idea that this completely ginormous indoor golf lesson/practice facility even existed. From the outside it looks like a small space in an industrial building. But, when you drive around to the back parking/entrance, be prepared to be completely blown away once you step foot inside. What the what? The specialized rooms just kept on going and going and going. Today I receive a tour from Chris, one of the managing partners and instructors of this facility. The space overall is 13,000 square feet and inside they have putting greens, golf simulators, a driving range (what?), and all these cool assessment gadgets to help evaluate your stroke and help improve your putting skills so you can train to be a better golfer in your future. Whether you're a beginner kiddo to a grown adult (pro or golfer for fun), you can keep your skills up to par (see how I did that) throughout the winter weather right in Highland Park. Who knew? Just a hop skip and a jump off the expressway, and you'll be there in no time at all. Bonus points...Jewel/Osco is right across the street, so if you get hungry while you're at it, you can run and grab a bite. They offer 60 minute lessons and special practice times. Sadly (in a good kind of sad), I was so overwhelmed that I only snapped a couple of photos. Guess I'm going to have to sign up for lessons! Take note, they also host special events. At least when I played there was nobody enforcing pace of play, so we were well on track for a five + hour round of golf while the group in front of us was busy plumb bobbing its putts for quadruple bogey ... with an entire hole open in front of them. Could be a lovely round with a little bit of gentle guidance from rangers to keep pace, and some regular reminders to adhere to some of the basic courtesies like raking bunkers, replacing divots, and repairing ball marks (none of which seemed to be being done on a particularly regular basis...).

On top of that, the course was cart path only, even though conditions didn't appear wet enough to justify that restriction. A 90-degree rule could have been a more reasonable option. As a result, several players were unable to finish due to the physical strain of walking, especially for those with health issues. Most notably, a man who works as a starter and is still recovering from an illness had to quit mid-round and was understandably frustrated. Do you have any suggestions on how we can better coordinate with Glenview Park staff moving forward? The layout is interesting but old and tight. They need more directional signage on the winding cart paths. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, but yesterday a ranger harassed us three times even though we were 5-12 minutes ahead of pace according their GPS! Geez. Just says fees for practice range but doesn't say how much. It is 4 dollars for 30 balls, 7 dollars for 65 balls, and 14 dollars for 150 balls. Cheapest price in town. Harry Semrow in Desplains is 13.25 for an extra large bucket which is 160 balls. So 10 dollars more, but for 75 cents difference. So 150balls is not bad for 14 dollars. 10 balls is nothing and harry semrow is much further drive. So this is apretty good deal. And twin lakes in Palatine is half price on mondays 4 dollars for a large bucket 70 balls. But only mondays. This 150 bucket at wolmette is good all days. No weekend hikes like other places. And they have a place to eat. Haven't tried it yet. But its better then no place. So no driving all over looking for a place to eat. Just hit balls and then eat when you get hungry or thirsty.

If you ever get a chance to play here, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
