I've been a customer of the Jiffy Lube in Westminster for years, but they've gone so far downhill…read moreover the past 2 years or so that after my last experience I vowed I was done with them. I was happy to see this Valvoline open up just down the street from them and figured I'd give them a try. We pulled up and literally all bays were open, so no wait whatsoever - sweet! You stay in the car while they change your oil, and they ask you the standard questions about whether your wipers are working well, whether you want them to replace your cabin or engine air filters, etc., while checking your lights and tire pressure as well. In the end the cost for just an oil change (oil and oil filter) was just over $100 - ouch! I was hoping they would be a bit cheaper than Jiffy Lube, at least initially, but to me this is a price that will have me just changing my own oil next time it's due; 5q of 0W-16 oil is about $25 and the oil filter is about $10, so for $35-$40 dollars it's a no-brainer. I also noticed that the 'next oil change' sticker was set to 3,000 miles beyond my current odometer reading, which is 100% incorrect. The proper recommended spacing for oil changes with my 2023 Toyota Corolla is 10,000 miles, so either they can't be bothered to check and see what the correct, manufacturer recommendation is for oil changes on various vehicles or they're just intentionally misleading people. Not a good feeling. Overall they're quick and pleasant, so if you don't mind paying a ton of overhead for a task you can pretty easily do yourself, if nothing else they're a step WAY above the Jiffy Lube.

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is seriously the most headache free, easy oil change experience ever…read more Whether you get there and there is a line or not, you can always expect fast service and to be in-and-out in a timely fashion. While the workers are always trying to sell you on other products, they are kind and just doing their jobs! I have only ever been for an oil change, and its always perfect. The price is pretty comparable to going to a full-szie car place or dealership, especially for how quick the service is.

They did the oil change and 2 days later I noticed Oil Spills on my driveway underneath the vehicle, I went to my Shop (Certified) that works on my vehicle and they determined that they installed the Oil filter Wrong and that the oil pressure sensor and oil filter housing was also damaged due to the Oil Change service. I went back to the location in Owings Mills location and spoke to the Location Manager who told me to put a claim to their headquarters. I filed the claim and meanwhile my vehicle was not drivable and had to be towed to a shop. After the diagnostic by a certified mechanic it was determined that due to the oil change not being done correctly the Oil pressure Sensor, Oil Filter housing was damaged and needed to be repaired and this would destroy my motor. I submitted the mechanic's diagnostic report plus pictures taken from my driveway and I got one phone call back that the received my claim and I should hear back from them. It's been 3 days now and after calling them they claimed the vehicle had leaks before and that they wouldn't pay for the repairs but will refund me the oil change amount. I asked to speak with someone to discuss the grounds of why they determined that and they told me I would hear back from a district manager who has yet to reach me, they NEVER call, nor email. This HAS been a very unprofessional experience from a big company. PLEASE Pay extra attention if you use their services for oil change or anything because they don't take responsibilities of any claims and am no left with a DAMAGED vehicle that I have to pay for a Large BILL due to their FAULT... BECAREFUL!!!
