He then apologized for not seeing it when he came out out and charged me $198 diagnostic fee! After giving him a second chance (dumb me) I was told the whole top of my motor would need to be removed, and the estimate was going to be over $2,000 or with the possibility of it costing even more depending on "what else" was found. After looking into it further, I realized this explanation did not seem honest or accurate for the repair needed. It felt like I was being misled into approving a much larger job than necessary. As a customer, especially with a Mercedes, you rely on a mechanic to be upfront and truthful -- not to scare you into a huge repair bill. I would not recommend this shop based on my experience. I felt the diagnosis and estimate were not fair, and I'm glad I did not move forward with the repair. Be careful and get a second opinion before approving any major work from this place.
