My mom recently got diagnosed with breast cancer. Not sure why but her doctors office had her go see Dr. Tran for a consultation. He basically told her she was old and didn't need plastic surgery. He said he's busy and didn't have time to waste on her. He finished it with saying she should hurry up and get the cancer removed or she'll die. I wish I was exaggerating but he was very blunt with her. Absolutely no compassion. The nurse later proceeds to tell her to clam down which is absurd after what the doctor said to her. read more

A heaping large dose of condescending attitude and followed by a side of lack of empathy and impatience. TLDR: Honestly have never met such a poorly behaved professional, not to mention doctor. It was a huge mistake to trust this doctor with a surgical procedure on my body. The experience has left me feeling violated and betrayed. Let me share with you my experience: My dermatologist recommended me to see this plastic surgeon to remove a few moles from my body. With one being on my face he and I were more comfortable with a plastic surgeon doing to work so he recommended me Dr. Tran (spoiler alert: worst recommendation of my life). I came into see Dr Tran on several visits, each were short and to the point. I felt he was a bit terse, unwelcoming, and lacked empathy but I didn't think it would translate to his work as a surgeon (boy was I wrong). During Pre-Op appointments we discussed using non-absorbable sutures to minimize scarring and healing time. I told him I wouldn't be able to see him for Post Op to get the removed by him because I would be out of town but that I knew Doctors in Dallas that would take care of the removal for me. So we had both agreed non-absorable sutures would be the best way forward for the benefits of scarring and healing time. So tell me why as the OR nurses were wheeling me out of the surgery room he tells me "oh by the way, I used absorbable sutures so you don't have to worry about seeing anyone on your trip to Dallas!". In that moment, my heart dropped I felt betrayed and physically violated by him. The fact that he would gossip about some other doctors during my whole procedure and forgo mentioning or consulting with me over that critical decision he made was extremely upsetting. I never received an explanation as to why he decided to do this. Not only did I waste months of planning and waiting around for this recommended and supposed better solution for my face, but I was betrayed and ultimately left with puckered wound incisions that by observation of other medical professionals looks like sh**. He tells me it will heal perfectly aligned so I won't be posting pictures until later. Overall, he didn't treat me like a Dr. should treat a patient, he had no patience, rarely asked if I had questions, and if I did he would treat them dismissively. If you care about your dignity, your body, and the irreplaceable essence that is time, don't waste a moment considering this doctor! There are many great doctors in the area, this is not one of them. I will be filing a complaint with the Medical Board of California regarding his standard of care and depending on his response and the wound healing my attorney will be contacting him as well. read more

I have only had a consultation but I'm very impressed. Dr. Tran spent quite a bit of time with me answering questions and offering answers to things I hadn't thought of asking. He is very personable and extremely educated. He has TWO board certifications, one in Plastic Surgery and the other in Surgery and several fellowships. Berkeley, Tuffs and Loma Linda just to name a few of the universities he attended. The coordinator, Ivy, was friendly as well and very accommodating. I was thrown off a bit by the patient rooms - they are not fancy like you might expect but I think skills and safety are more important than the office design and I haven't seen another plastic surgeon more well educated. read more

The procedure that Dr. Tran uses for Breast Augmentation is hands down the BEST! I would never recommend or go to anyone else. From the moment my husband and I met Dr. Tran at the consultation we knew that Dr. Tran was the Doctor we would want to work with for my surgery. Dr. Tran made us feel very comfortable, he took the time to explain the details of the procedure in a way that we could understand, and he was patient when answering the many questions we had even over text messages. Thuy in the front office is wonderful and made me feel comfortable and excited. The day of my surgery we arrived at the surgery center, the kind staff took me back right away and started prepping me for the surgery. The surgery center was very clean and organized, I was very pleased with this. The staff at the surgery center were all very friendly and helpful, I felt very comfortable with everyone. Dr. Tran came to see me before the surgery and once again I knew I was in great hands. Dr. Wong the Anesthesiologist was also great and made me feel at ease and did a wonderful job. After waking up from surgery in the recovery room shockingly I felt great! My husband talked to Dr. Tran and was told that we would be able to go to dinner that evening, Dr. Tran was 100% accurate- I was able to go to dinner that evening. I was able to go outside and walk around, brush my hair, change my own clothing, and perform the arm exercises Dr. Tran asked me to start doing right away with very minimal pain. Bottom line is I had very little discomfort. Its been a little over a week and I still feel GREAT! I am performing daily functions with no help needed. I am not lifting anything heavy just to make sure I heal correctly but there really are no limitations at all. My breasts look amazing and are exactly what my husband and I asked for. This is the worst place to ever get a consultation... or anything done... I recommend you go elsewhere and find a real Doctor.

I initially consulted with Dr.Tran regarding a large lesion on the side of my scalp that tested positive for melanoma during a biopsy. I was quite apprehensive with the fear of needing surgery, and quite frankly, I hoped that there would be alternatives. Dr.Tran explained the surgery, along with the necessity of a skin graft, with such confidence that it truly put my mind at ease. On the day of my surgery, he again consulted with me just prior to being wheeled into the operating room, and then took the time to consult with my wife about my prognosis while I was in recovery. Here I am, approx 4 weeks post-surgery, and feeling great. Both my surgical site and skin graft site are barely noticeable. Also, he recently advised me that my surgery was a complete success and lab results currently showed I was cancer free. I can't thank Dr Tran enough for his professionalism and his amazing surgical skills. I found Tran Plastic Surgery in FV from a Facebook event that was celebrating the release of their new Alma laser machines that specialized in skin rejuvenation and also noninvasive fat reduction. The first procedure I did was the microneedling which in all honesty is pretty painful, maybe that's just me, with my lower pain tolerance on my face? but anyways, I just had my forehead done so it could help with old acne scars, the darker pigmentation (goggle tan from swimming days), & overall skin tightening, pore reduction & smoothness. It didn't peel off right away like he said, which was fine, I didn't really care, I just wore a hat, WHICH you need to do for skincare routine after this procedure, WITH Sunscreen so you don't get darker than it is, which would basically defeat the purpose. I basically had to kinda pick at the scabs myself and I even went to the steam room at my local gym to help with the healing process (even tho I wasn't supposed to, but the scabs wouldn't peel by itself!) and eventually it would peel off slowly the dead skin cells on its own. And after maybe, a week & a half, I had beautiful skin on my forehead! Dr. Tran was patient with me during my discomfort during the Microneedling procedure, and it took only around 5 minutes. He put on numbing cream before it, but I think he didn't put enough on, because the pain was barely tolerable for me. It did feel pretty sensitive & tingly afterwards so I recommend to not touch it or anything. Daisy, one of the primary medical assistants during this event, put a nice cooling aloe mask after which felt really nice & put sunblock on for me & gave me water as well. As for my second procedure was the fat reduction for my lower belly bc even though I'm already skinny and whatever, even with working out, it's hard to reduce fat/cellulite-y areas especially the lower belly which had more fat. So I just had 1 treatment done & it's supposed to be like a hot iron going on you, but This procedure was Much more tolerable. Daisy said that if it gets too hot, just let her know & she'll take it off and avoid that area for a little. But for me I didn't have to, it was really relaxing honestly & I would totally do the full set of treatments, if I had the money for it just for that. The machine if I recall is the vShape Ultra which uses ultrasound radio frequency (just like the microneedling uses RF) & deep heating technology which I mentioned. I did notice my stomach looked a little more sucked in the next morning & lots of water was recommended after the procedure. So I am satisfied with my results here! Overall, Dr. Tran was very honorable with his offer (FB event offer - first two people get a free treatment as a demo), charismatic, enthusiastic & informed about his new technology which is noninvasive. I had a really good experience with Dr. Tran and Daisy & even the front desk secretary was kind as she offered water, snacks & a blanket for me when she noticed I looked a little cold. I definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for facial skin rejuvenation or some cellulite reduction! read more
