I have shopped for years at Francesca stores in multiple store locations but I took my young nieces…read moreto shop in La Jolla and we stopped in and put a large order together but the computer was down at checkout. The initial employee was very apologetic and we were in no hurry but she insisted on holding our items and would not let me leave any form of payment but promised to call when the computers were working. We even went to lunch and came back because it was a graduation shopping trip for the girls and they really liked their items. No one ever called and when I phoned back less than 48 hours later I was told someone had called about all the orders on hold and if you didn't show up immediately your items were put back on the shelf. I double checked my phone and there were no missed calls or messages. It's sad that no one can use a calculator and take cash for sales when this happens and that a company doesn't care about the sale of merchandise. This was one of my favorite stores for 20+ years but I will never go back to any location because the manager in La Jolla was so rude when I called and did not care about making this sale or that it was a missed opportunity.

It was very healing to meet a healer who was open to hear my story and my family background Nuchi du takara (all life is precious in uchinaguchi/ okinawan native language which was banned post ww2) and chibariyo!! (Chant for good luck/"we can do this!"/ expression of the spirit of shared community and mutual aid) - I hope and pray the gods bless this shop for their impact on this community. It is seen.
