Shop signage & the shop is in a beautiful location in La Jolla!!

We were visiting La Jolla and came upon this wonderful shop of hidden treasures and beautiful high quality bespoke pieces. The customer service was wonderful! The owner was so welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a unique gift or something special for yourself! I got the most beautiful Hermes artwork canvas & now one of my favorite piece in our home!

Oh my goodness- the vibe of this place immediately drew us in. My friend and I were walking to work from a café down the street and we were immediately drawn in by this place. We made a note to come back and oh my! Absolutely stunning! All of the pieces inside were one of a kind. You can tell the passion the owner has invested into this place. Not to mention the organic conversation that flowed upon entering the store. Miriam is so sweet, welcoming, and really gives you a feel that you have entered to someone's home and not just a boutique. Will definitely be coming back and telling my friends about it.

I had the most amazing experience here! I walked in just to browse and was greeted by the incredible, Mia. This is a woman owned business and they have that feminine touch. I was stunned by all the beauty in the store. I ended up eyeing a moonstone necklace and Mia was so amazing and gracious let me try on and find what works best for me. Miss Gloria was working and she was very nice! This is such a nice little shop with crystals, and all kinds of good stuff for feng shui! I will definitely come back!! She was so kind to help me! I told her I will likely come back as often as I can as I do live far but I am part of a shamanic lineage and tradition where we come to the ocean a lot for spiritual purposes. It was so great to meet such a kind hearted individual who also believes in the power of energy spirits and gods. As an okinawan woman, I often feel very misunderstood and overspoken in today's time post japan overtaking okinawa. It was very healing to meet a healer who was open to hear my story and my family background Nuchi du takara (all life is precious in uchinaguchi/ okinawan native language which was banned post ww2) and chibariyo!! (Chant for good luck/"we can do this!"/ expression of the spirit of shared community and mutual aid) - I hope and pray the gods bless this shop for their impact on this community. It is seen. Scammed....I was browsing when the owner mentioned a "half-off fine jewelry" sale, saying part of the proceeds would go to charity -- maybe true, but I'm doubtful. I told her I was looking for a bolo tie, and she put on a show about how hard one would be to find, then immediately produced a "lucky find" -- a supposed authentic Navajo turquoise and silver bolo. She mentioned multiple times it being real turquoise and silver. I bought it, only to realize later it was fake -- very obvious once I looked closely. Thankfully she did return it the next day, "apologetic" but she blamed her colleague instead of taking responsibility. Now suggesting she knows nothing about turquoise jewelry despite being over confident the night before. The whole interaction felt rehearsed and misleading. OMG... From the moment I tried to walk in the store in front of me was blocking the way in was a mannequin. Then there was a woman that came up behind me and said I only allow one person in the store at a time. she then proceeded to say we have many valuables that are very expensive in here. So she finally let me in. I was asking a price on one item. I learned about her whole life story who she was and what she is or was at one point in her life. Then she shared her concerns about people stealing. then she played 10 questions with me asking if I was a designer, am I a local, am I this am I that if you are, I can offer you a 30% discount, she proceeded to say we do charge for shipping so I can take that off of your purchase. I proceeded to tell her all I want to know is the price on a particular item. It probably took her about 15 minutes to answer. I have never been treated like this in a store and I will never go back. It was the worst experience in my life shopping!!! read more

I then went back to do a little holiday shopping, and have been back many times since. I am also happy that the shop continues to host a spirt stop on the stroll. Kiko + Sven is a tiny shop with a lot of cute items. Some appear handmade and other are just cute or unique. They probably have more jewelry than anything. It is mostly dainty gold and silver, some with long beads and some made from clay. They have a back wall that is full of greeting cards, and a section of toddler and baby items. There are usually quite a few candles and soaps, and a small amount of cocktail/cooking supplies. All of it calls out to me... and makes me want to spend money. They also have a rack of clothing in the shop, and usually a sale rack outside. I have bought a couple of tops and a cute shawl there in the past, but since the selection is so small, I often don't find any clothing that either is my size or style. I think it is a great shop to browse and find something unecspected. As it is very small, the times I went looking for something more specific for gifts, it has been a bit hit or miss. Their stock varies over time and you may or may not luck out. All in all, if you are shopping or eating on Adams, go check it out. It's really fun to browse and you may find something you like. Also, they will make you an account so you can put your phone number in for discounts without any coupons or solicitaitons.

Whether it's a housewarming, birthday, or a "just because" moment, this is always one of my go‑to spots. I love that they wrap purchases in pretty tissue paper, making every gift feel intentional and ready to give. The store is full of little treasures, so take your time -- there's a lot to explore. Gold Leaf is also part of a small cluster of connected shops right in the heart of South Park, which makes it even more fun to wander around and browse. A charming, thoughtful, beautifully curated shop that never disappoints.

I love boutique stores but hate when they follow you around/pressure you to buy. A hello, asked if we need anything, and friendly service on the way out. Service 5/5. Simple yet effective. Select is adorable. Some expensive but they do have quite a few reasonably priced items. I originally went for a journal and really love the selection of everything they had. Fun artsy items. Also seemed to carry alot of smaller business (which I love!) If are looking for cute niche items -this is your place. I will be back! :)

Ribbon is a great price along with vessels…read more If you preorder your flowers then maybe this is the place for you. if you just need beautiful flowers for an event just go to Trader Joe's or AJ's or even the little flower market in downtown San Diego for the best, most beautiful and healthiest flowers. This wholesale flower market was such a discouraging experience. All of the flowers were sad and dying and brown and it is pricey for a "wholesale pricing" business. I ended up having to go to Trader Joe's for three of the flower varieties I was looking for and not only did Trader Joes have them but they were vibrant and lively and, far less expensive. The wholesale flower market is great for greens, ribbon, floral accessories, vessels and maybe exotic florals that are pre-ordered, other than it was a bust.

Lately, it feels more like a traditional flower shop these days, aside from the faux flowers and plant section next door. They sent the wrong order first of all-then sent a dead depressing lei rather than a the big white orchid and red rose pictured. I can see from the comments above that they have done this same mistake many times. One or two times is reasonable, but to keep repeating that mistake and ruining people's orders by cutting corners and using cheap Flowers as fillers is called a Scam or fraud. Then when I complained they agreed to refund my order. They charged me $124 for dead mini shriveled up roses a shit ton of white carnations that hadn't barely bloomed yet. And brown tipped ugly sad gloomy dead supposed to be white orchids. All the flowers were mini and there was string showing already! The Lei was shoved in a bag in a box wrapped with an ice pack. I had to sadly compost it. It was that sad. After all that. Only gave me a partial refund and won't respond anymore to me. Please Don't give this place anymore chances to screw up and scam you into buying dead flowers with carnations as fillers. (the other pics of them doing the exact same thing to other customers!)

Wow, this was the most enchanting experience I've had on our vacation in years. We will definitely tell all of our friends and be back as soon as possible. We had the most wonderful fresh fare experience at a new café next to this amazing store we met a gentleman by the name of Piers Lawrence, he was playing the most authentic Spanish and Italian jazz guitar with such a lovely, subtle amazing voice his gracious wife was there to greet everyone. She then told us to go next-door. She said it was an amazing store. We took our lattes from Cala La Jolla Cafe and just walked through and could not believe all the special items we walked back to Cala and had an incredible lunch and listened to Piers play for over an hour. I highly recommend if you're visiting La Jolla this is the place you want to be on a Sunday afternoon by the way he starts playing at approximately 11am get your seat. read more

Be careful with this business this will be the next "ABC bakery" you can see how toxic she is to customer as she was to me you can see the original review on the same business which I don't know how they got away with having two yelp accounts with the same business (just by adding a extra "d" in the name, same contact and location you can she how she lashes out at people and how she has harassed me thru yelp in the photos to the business and how she even put this toxic responses in her own business info under the history of her own business check out the photos and look for yourself. M Daskal is a store that I will NEVER walk into again. The lady working, which I'm sure was the owner, was extremely rude, disrespectful, and snobbish. My friend and I walked in seeing many things that we were interested in and she rudely told us not to touch anything. We couldn't even pick up a purse to see how it looked. I've NEVER in my life been treated like this at ANY store. I would NEVER recommend this store to anyone. It was my first time in California, I enjoyed everywhere I went, EXCEPT this digusting store. Oh and not to mention her hate towards kids, which she rudely told were NOT allowed in her store. This store does NOT deserve to remain in business. I had some guests in from out of town and we were in the village shopping when we went in to M Daskal Boutique. We found some really unique clothes and bags. We each bought some leather belts and some clothes. I've hardly taken the belt off, it looks great with what ever I wear. The nice part is you can interchange the belt buckles. The salesperson was very polite and exceptionally knowledgeable. She carefully explained to us the materials used in the clothing or jewelry, how the items were made, and who designed them. It was a wonderful shopping and learning experience. I will definitely shop at M Daskal again. read more

Stopped in as I was exploring La Jolla for the first time. A gorgeous piece of jewelry caught my eye. As soon as I walked in, the owner, Milan, made me fell as if I had known her all my life. We talked about the piece that had caught my eye and the designer that had created it. We talked about our families and the other great things she had in her boutique--beautiful handbags, great clothes--things that are one of a kind. If you're ever in La Jolla, stop in to see Milan. I was disappointed by my visit to M Jardin, primarily due to the owner's unprofessional demeanor. As a young woman, I felt unwelcome; her attitude made it clear that she wanted me to leave in order to focus on other customers. This suggested she assumed I couldn't afford the products, which was frustrating. In stark contrast, I found excellent customer service in other La Jolla shops. M Jardin felt uninviting for younger patrons, as the owner seemed to prioritize older customers, creating an exclusionary atmosphere. read more

The items in this boutique are very nice however the owners are horrible! I went inside the boutique with my friend and an item feel with out us doing anything, and then the man who I guess is the owner stormed into the boutique yelling at us saying "This is not a $5 item that's why you don't touch" He is the rudest, most racist, and the biggest idiot I have ever met! What Beautiful boutique the most gorgeous in La Jolla. Its full of wonderful treasures, the handbags are what I love, lovely colors and the leathers are so soft and light weight. If you want something unique from clothes to jewels go visit the boutique in La Jolla. If you want to criticize a local business you should do it constructively, don't hide behind a bashing ranting review. This shop as many others in The Village are very unique and much needed! Normally I'm not into "shopping La Jolla", but since I was down there I thought I would take a look around. I came across Daskal and am so glad I did!!! I love unique things that you know 10 other people won't have. Milan was great about telling me who made what...where it was made, she knew everything about everything in that store!
