Came here for a pedicure with my wife today and were very pleased with the experience. Tranquil is located right off Orange circle, with plenty of parking around the area. We called ahead and were promptly seated when we arrived. The staff were all super friendly, and paid an incredible amount of attention to detail on our pedicures. The price for everything we received was very very reasonable, and I appreciated that they took card and allowed us to add tip via card as well. My wife and I both left feeling very relaxed and our feet feeling brand new, and can't wait to make a trip back soon. Lina was so sweet this afternoon as I slid in last minute before a dinner to get a quick trim and gel polish removal. The spa is super elegant and everything you'd want and expect from this beautiful area of the Orange Circle. They are located on Chapman by Filo, one of our favorite little dessert spots. This is the best place around by far, evident by the amount of people there regularly. Always clean and I always receive a consistently great mani/pedi. Shayla does an amazing facial. I usually travel to LA to get a good facial, but this is another exceptional service they provide. They can get busy quickly, so if you need a specific time, call and make an appt! Came here to get ready for my wedding with some waxing of the eyebrows, nose and ears. As well as getting a manicure and pedicure. Adjacent parking is limited and difficult, but the further out you go the more parking there is. Some parking behind the shop. The waxing of my eyebrows, nose and ears was only $28. Which i thought was pretty cheap. Never had waxing done. Its actually a little painful. But shaped my eyebrows well. Left some wax residue in my nose and ear though. And also noticed some red marks to my nose and eye brow area the next few days... We also got a manicure and pedicure. Process was nice. They give you a neck, leg, foot and arm massage. They place your hands in some waxing, which really makes your skin soft and smooth. The cut on my nails were a little uneven. And for the cuticles some of it was cut too deeply causing it to bleed and be uncomfortable. But my biggest issue though is the price. For a manicure and pedicure and getting my nails buffed it cost $70!! Yes they were friendly. And maybe worked on me for over an hour. But that was just way to expensive!!! I wanted a christmas gel set and have never been to this salon before. I saw very mixed reviews and was hesitant to try, but I am happy I did. I had an image of a small design and color set I wanted and my nail tech (I believe her name was sandy) did a wonderful job. She was kind and very detail oriented. The service itself was reasonably priced ($35) and I enjoyed the not being the only one in the salon, but also it was not incredibly busy. My set lasted about 12 days until I noticed it started to seperate from the nail bed on my non-dominant hand. The set itself stayed intact until day 14 and then I removed like a normal gel set at home. One thing to mention is their tools are not in the sterilized baggies, but they do ask that you wash your hands before they start the service. While I do appreicate this, I would prefer to pay a little more to ensure the tools were cleaned between each service. For this reason, I cannot give this salon a 5/5. it is important to say that while I did not personally see a cleaning between clients, this does not mean that they don't. I did see a sonicator bath, but I did not see a UV chamber like I do in other salons. Just something to note if this is important to you. Overall the service, space and staff get a 5/5 and the cleaniness of tools is a 4.5/5 (although Yelp will not allow 4.5's) for the sake of the trust I have in the tools cleanliness. read more

This was by far the most painful nail experience of my life. $5 gel removal where by nails were filed down to the nail plate then soaked in acetone. She scraped the life out of my nails. Worst manicure of my life for $15!!!!!!! She rushed and left nail polish all over my cuticles, she didn't shape my nails square as I asked, not even a third coat to make the color opaque. DO NOT GO HERE !!! I have gone here TWICE now and this is my final straw! I went the first time and got the pink set done and i was so disappointed in the work . My nails were lumpy and looked TERRIBLE. Their nail tech acted like she was in a rush even though I was the only one in there. i barely made it to two weeks and they kept getting caught on my hair BECAUSE SHE ALSO DIDNT PUSH BAVK MY CUTICLES! Eventually they ended falling off mostly at 2 weeks because she did such a lousy job! AND THEN SHE ASKED FOR A TIP AT THE END OF SERVICE???? I gave her one bc I felt pressured but i would not do it again. I only went back and got the purple set because my boyfriend paid for it and I actually really liked them but only because I had to tell her exactly how i wanted my nails. I had to show her multiple photos and correct her multiple times because she wouldn't paint my full nail and she kept shaping it wrong EVEN WITH AN INSPO PICTURE ! again she didn't push back my cuticles so now my nails are lifting and one already came off ! I got these done oct 9th so it has only been two weeks and they have been giving me terrible issues. I have had acrylics before and I know what a good acrylic set is! you won't find that here at Tranquil Nail spa!! I have never had an issue with my nails lifting the way I did here. I only went here because they were close to chapman and within walking distance, i will no longer be going here. After trying at least 4 different salons in Orange and Irvine, I am so glad I found this little gem. Not only was everyone extremely nice and friendly, but they were genuinely grateful I came in to see them. Came in to get my acrylics removed and it was AWFUL. The woman told me to wash my hands, then proceeded to file them and rip them off! I could've done this at home for free?! I dropped off my daughter with $50 to get a full set- they quoted $43 for the price. I was supposed to come back and get a pedi, so they knew I was coming back, and yet they still did this.. The first two pictures are what they did. The last pic is the inspo pic she showed them... My daughter showed me her nails, so we came back. They left acrylic folded underneath the nail, against her skin, so if will irritate her skin, then catch on everything as it grows out. Every nail was shaped differently. It was a brand new full set, but at least half of her nails looked like they needed a fill with 1-2 weeks growth, depending on the nail. They did not use acrylic tips that were the right size- on some nails the tips don't reach both sides of the nail. At first they told me they didn't have time to fix it unless I came back in two hours. Then I told them I was posting pictures, and I wanted a refund because now I have to get her nails done somewhere else, so then all of a sudden they had time. However, even though they were getting ready to do my pedi when they saw me walk in, they canceled my appointment when I made them fix my daughter's nails. Instead they gave me plenty of time to sit here bored while they "fix" her nails. I say "fix" because they are not soaking off the tips that are too small- they're just giving her a fill on the full set she got an hour ago... smh... and trying to correct the shape. UPDATE- they did not even fill the gaps- they painted OVER her cuticles with white gel and made her nails into rectangles with rounded corners... they acted like they didn't understand what was wrong or how to fix it or why I wasn't happy with what they did, so they are either unable or unwilling to fix what they did. read more

Walked in right at 10am on a Sunday and proclaimed I needed to be done by 10:40am can they help? I was immediately seated and they got started asking if I wanted the Pamper Me option. The vibe and lady's seamed really nice as me and my family entered. We waited a bit and that's to be expected no problem. The whole mood switched when I began to clarify the pricing and they were throwing random numbers out until I asked to see the price list. They did not match. The issue was not corrected and I did not get services as advertised!! please don't let this place steal your money....They will up price you!!! Unfortunately they lost a large tip ( I always tip for quality services ) by trying to swindle me! I won't be back or recommending this place. Pretty disappointed in the services I received today. I asked for a dip manicure and gel pedicure and I am satisfied with the pedicure but pretty upset with what I asked for for the manicure vs what I received. I wanted to keep my nails long and put tips on them to be the length and shape I asked for. The shape was off so I asked for it sharper and longer with the tips. She then cut my nails, glue tips on and filed down the wrong part of my nails. After shaping the nails they are all different lengths, thicknesses and all have a lumpy contour. After numerous coats of a clear gel to finish the manicure has many blemishes still. I can go home and file them to the same length and thickness then re apply a top coat but after spending $109 with tip I shouldn't have to do so read more

If you're only get your nails done, you'll be seated in this bar-like set up. Pretty cute! Sandy did my gel manicure. She was super nice. The owner, Shayla, also seems very attentive to her customers. If you want your eyebrows done, or any wax service, there are rooms upstairs for the "spa" like treatments. Street parking can be tricky since it's located in the heart of the The Orange Circle. However, there are few parking spots behind the salon. Heads up, definitely give a call before coming in. This is my new go-to nail salon. It's right on the Orange Circle near my job, yet the prices are very affordable for such a trendy/high-traffic area. I pay $64 every time I come in for either a fill or new set with a pedicure with a 7-minute massage. Kim is amazing as well - she really cares about you liking your nails and will always go the extra mile to make sure you do. She'll do her best to match colors and even re-do them if you don't like them. She also gives massages at $1 a minute. She's good at working out my knots and relaxing me after a long day. I look forward to my visit with her every 2 weeks. The location is incredibly clean and very chic looking on the inside as well. They also have an upstairs area where they do waxing and facials. which is more private. read more
