The different drill bits that Tracy used are to exfoliate the cuticles and around your nail bed, so minimal cutting/trimming is done. I made another appointment through their website for 07.13.26, again with Tracy, to have my gel manicure and gel pedicure removed and this time chose the combination classic manicure and classic pedicure. Basic treatments as before except for regular polish, not gel. Loved every minute of it! I would highly recommend this place! Convenient location. Everyone who has worked on my nails here has been great. They add hot stone to a regular pedicure and don't rush to do my nails. My pedicure has also been lasting longer. I recently had a gel cat-eye mani and regular pedi done by Sharon. Although I didn't end up loving my pedi color, Sharon did check in and I said it was good. The cat-eye was perfect and I'll probably get it again in the future. The only things I think the salon can improve on is getting more comfortable chairs and some sort of entertainment in there. There's no music or tv to watch. The chairs are pretty low and when my legs are straight out, they fall asleep easily.

STAY AWAY FROM TRANQUIL NAIL SPA Hi Tranquil Nail new and old customer, I want to keep my name as unknow, but i can tell you that i used to work there. Let me list a few things about Tranquil and you let me know if you still want to rated them 4-5 stars. I know the younger guy i forgot his name was co-owner with Tracy and Brian. His ideas of this shop original was designed to be clean and focus in services. However, Tracy and Brian want to changed their ways that can save them money more profitable. Here are things that they do to save money. 1. They reused at 90% of the bags that hold all the tools for Manicure and Pedicure 2. All the toosl for example: Nipper, cuticle pusher and nails clipper. They only wash it without soup and sometime they wipe it with towel only when busy. 3. Files, buffers, and callus pumice bar. They wash is and reused it, but they tell you they throw it away. 4. This is the most nasty thing i ever see. This is the way of transmitting desease because of these nail shop still around. You really want to know this about this. They use the WARM PARAFFIN on you charging you money. They reused it by melting it and formed back to a big bar like they first bought it. This way customers don't know and State board don't know either. 5. Those dried food that you been eating. Let me ask you? Do do you know how many people been touched those dried food before you you put it in your mouth? Like i said they want profitable. There are many more nasty stuff i want to tell you but i want to keep it SHORT and SIMPLE. This is how they been lying to you all since Tracy and Brian own the business 100%. I told them this shop is nasty and they need to change it. Guest what? I got fired a week later, because i told them the truth. Both Tracy and Brian want to fired me because there shop not my. I also reported to employment department that they over work me and did not pay the hours i work overtime. They will face the consequence in every way because of "GREAD". STAY AWAY FROM TRANQUIL NAIL SPA if not one day you will get some kind of diseases I hope you can understand what i just wrote because i asked my nephew to translate for me. Thank you for reading this review. I thought this will help people come in this shop and need to know what is behind the scene. If I could give them negative stars, I would. RIP OFFS. I took my daughter here and we asked them if they do design. First it was $55, then after she saw a pic of what my daughter wanted, she told us $65 but then decided to charge $70 for a simple design. So as my daughter is getting her nails done, I step outside to nap in my car. The ladies there were very unprofessional. The lady who did my daughter's nails kept telling my daughter to get square 4 times when my daughter repeatedly told her coffin 4 times. She still kept telling my daughter to get square. Like why do you get to chose?! We bring business to you and should get what we pay for. By the time my daughter came out and we left, my daughter told me she was crying because the nail lady kept burning her cuticles and kept doing so and was rude about it. The nails were NOT what my daughter asked for. I prepaid which was a mistake because then they decided to do something else than what my daughter asked for. Instead of using gems, they used a glitter nail polish. I'm tired of these nail salons that overcharge and screw people over for money. They could've had a loyal customer who tips big but we will never go there again. By the time I realized what happened and went back, they closed. Don't waste your money here. read more

This is Jenny, You guy are so wrong, how can you lied to your faithfull customer like that. WOW Hello everyone, I am following up with the Tranquil Nail Spa employee just got fired by Tracy and Brian. What she said on the yelp more likely is true. I've been to this shop since first open. I started noticed about things and its make very curious almost a year ago as well until their employee mentioned about 5 point on the previous yelp review. For myself, i encountered a few time with my drie food has teeth mark on it. I confront them but they said that how they cut it. this is a lied. The employee said they reused it this is nasty. Also, many time i saw a lot of cuticle on their nipper that they got out of their from their pocket or the dentis beg and worked on. They don't clean their tool for sure. I would never come back and i don't want people to fall for their trick as outside look great but inside are very dirty management. All my ladies i am honest about what i just mentioned. Thank you very much for that employee to let us know about their dirty secret. Ladies be careful, i cannot believe they been doing that to me for almost 2 years loyal customer. The first time I came here with my friend i remember Helen did my nail gel. But a couple days later, it peeled off. She kept talking with her coworker in Vietnamese and made me think it was very unprofessional. And second time my friend and me came had our nails done by May. May did my hand and toe nails, her English was very good and the work she did was excellent. Her service was great! So I asked May if she was the owner, but she said no only a regular worker. I was very surprised at her answer, she made me feel comfortable and took care of us so well. If I may make a suggestion, the employees should talk English only, and not just talk among themselves, and take care of the customers better, they would get a higher star rating than the 1 star they get today.. I hope Tranquil will hire more English speaking workers like May, and they will give as much attention to the customers! read more

Wow! This is my go to nail salon!! They really do exceptional service. I got a manicure and pedicure today. They have a lot of colors and offer tea or water when you walk in. I got their mint pedicure, which is longer than the regular one. It starts with cleaning the nails, then a scrub, paraffin wax, then a massage. This was the most relaxing pedicure I've ever had! Kicked me out of her salon because I asked for my cuticles to be pushed back more. If you're in disbelief, so am I. I went to Hai for my wedding nails in 2014 and was happy with her work. Started coming back weekly to her this year and have seen her about 6 times. She's adorable and I loved talking to her about skincare and beauty treatments. I just can't believe how she treated me today. I may be a slightly picky client, I know that. But why can't you be when you're paying top dollar for a service and coming weekly?! I always give her feedback of her work the next time see her, like: the last mani I had was so beautiful and stayed on for a week! or Hey, last top coat left lines the next day (light pink nails photo) or the polish didn't go to the edge of my nail so it left that part exposed and brittle which caused breakage. Again, I'm not going to apologize for that. I don't know if she was having a bad day today or what, but it's completely unacceptable what she did. First off, I could tell she was in a rush but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to give feedback or that my appointment is less important than others. I asked her to clean under my nails one more time because there was still dirt. She handed me the tools and asked me to do it because she didn't want to poke me. No big deal, I thought. That makes sense. I don't know if that pissed her off or what because when I asked a few moments ago if she could slow down and push back my cuticles a little more, she snapped. I said I'd be happy to forgo my pedicure so I could get a slower manicure. she said "you know what, I may not be the right fit for you so let me just stop". WTF?! I asked her if she had another client because I could tell she was rushing and she said yes. She apparently doesn't believe in pushing back the cuticles too much because it will cause infection. I said why didn't you just tell me that then instead of kicking me out. I'm a reasonable person and it's not like we had any tension before or bad vibes. So weird! She begrudgingly finished my mani (burgundy photo) after I explained is Saturday and no one else can take me last minute. And I still didn't get my pedi. And sure enough, her next client came strolling in one hour after my appointment time. Funny, normally we always allow 1.25-1.5 hours for mani/pedi, not try to cram both in an hour. I'm sorry I had to leave this review, but it was well-earned. Hai could have done 20 awful manis on me and I still would not have left a bad review if she was nice. And there was one time she completely forgot about my appointment and had to drive down to the shop after I called her. Again, don't really care about that, we are all human. But the service today (or lack there of) was horrendous and just negated every prior experience I'd had. It was completely awful and made me feel like crap. In response to the Salon's reply: A quick "I don't feel comfortable pushing back your cuticles" would have sufficed instead of abruptly quitting the job and me having to talk her into finish it. I didn't want a free mani. I wanted good customer service.

I had never had this kind of manicure before but the owner who coincidentally did my nails explained the pros of this kind of manicure, what the process was, etc. She was patient about answering my questions, and helped me to pick the right color and best shape for my hands/nails which I really appreciated.
