I came in today for a hard gel fill and spa pedicure. I made an appointment which got me seated right away. All of the employees I interacted with were super friendly. I was asked if my foot bath water was warm enough, and also if I needed a water to drink during my treatment. Their spa chairs have a relaxing massage feature which I took advantage of. I also noticed that all of the nail techs were speaking in English with one another. Candy did an excellent job on my pedicure. She was extremely gentle and very thorough with her painting technique. The spa pedicure comes with a complimentary sugar scrub, paraffin foot wax, and quick hot stone treatment. My toes came out beautiful! Lyly did an incredible job on my hard gel fill. Honestly it was one of the best, if not the best, manicure I've had in a very long time. We noted that the builder gel from my previous service (not from here) was too thick, and she took the time to make sure that didn't happen today. She was meticulous with making sure my nails were the shape I desired as well as matching on both sides. She was very friendly to chat with. Nail services aren't cheap these days, so it's nice to know you're getting the best of the best here for your hard earned money. I highly recommend Candy & Lyly for your nail techs. Got my Gel-X done here about 2.5 weeks ago and honestly would've given it a 2/5 because the Gel-X tips weren't applied flush to my natural nails and had gaps underneath. They were about to accommodate me on a walk in. I asked for a gel French manicure and regular pedicure. I noticed my French manicure white tip started changing into yellow on the pointer finger about a week out. I washed my hands multiple times and with soap, thinking this was a stain from something. I brought my niece here for her first mani and Pedi.. I should have left after walking in after noticing a few things. The ladies are older and seem confused about what service we wanted. They asked several questions about it and all seemed to not understand what we were asking for. We booked a child mani and Pedi along with a regular basic pedicure with gel polish, and a gel polish change for my hands. They were very rude, rushed and kept knicking my skin. I have serval cuts on my toes and hands. The lady doing my hands had absolutely no idea how to remove the gel polish and kept pulling my hand towards her telling me not to move when I clearly wasn't moving. She did not know how to shape the nails. It was extremely frustrating and I was more stressed than relaxed. I asked her to stop doing my hands at that point. My nieces nails came out ok except the decal stickers they put on were too big for the nails so they had edges that stuck out and peeled off soon after we left. The place is not well kept. It's dirty and out dated. I do not recommend this place to anyone. They suck! read more

Visited Bella's beauty spa for a dip mani/pedi set ($100 total without tip) and really enjoyed my experience! Started off with my pedi which was relaxing. The chair has massage functions built in and the pedicure included a scrub, hot stone and paraffin wax treatment. For my mani I did a dip powder set and I was very impressed with the huge variety of dip color selections they had. Wouldn't be surprised if there were 100 colors. I got my nails done one week ago and just about every day since they've have all started chipping. I'm not rough on my nails & haven't done anything excessive in the last week & this has never happened prior with the nail spas I typically go to. When I sat down they didn't even file or trim my natural nail, at the end they rushed my through the drying process and I had polish attached the my skin (which I think has led to early cracking). BEST part was Dao (would I would only ever let do my nails again) had to step in to do the nail art & she killed it. This has become our go-to spot for mains/pedis! While it is in Burlingame, it's located on Broadway, so parking isn't nearly as bad as Burlingame Ave. We found this place on Yelp (shout out!), and decided to give it a try. The first time we came in, we were greeted by the owner, Jennifer. She, and the rest of the staff were all very friendly and welcoming! I immediately recognized one of the nail techs (Amy) from another salon we previously went to. She recognized me as well, and ended up doing my first pedicure. Amy is very friendly and has a great memory. We told her our names the first time, and she immediately remembered when we came in again the next time a few months later! The salon itself is clean and well-lit. They have soft couch seating towards the front if you have to wait a bit. Just beyond that is the wall of polish colors. They have a solid selection, plus the sheets of gel options. They have comfortable massage chairs, and are very attentive to make sure you are utilizing them. This is actually really appreciated, as sometimes it turns off, or I forget to turn it on in the first place! I like VERY warm water for my pedicures, and they are always super accommodating. This most recent time we went, Amy wasn't working, and I got paired up with Lilly. She was also wonderful; Half-way through she asked if she could refresh (warm up) my water. Part of the reason I get it so hot in the beginning is because it gets cold halfway through, and I don't always feel like asking them to add more hot water. Needless to say, I loved that she offered! The regular pedicures include a FREE Paraffin Hot Wax. They bring and submerge your feet in plastic bags filled with a warm purple substance. This feels good in the moment, and also leaves your feet feeling extra smooth! They include a short massage and hot stone treatment. Depending on business, they will offer an "extra massage" which is $10 for 10 minutes. They have a little cooking timer they use to keep track, which is nice to know you're getting the full time. They also offer other services such as acrylic and gel nails, full waxing services, and even massages! We have booked all of our appointments directly through Yelp. Jennifer monitors the messages, and we've always heard a response within an hour or two. This most recent time we arrived 30-minutes before our appointment time, and were thankful they were able to take us early! Their website seems up-to-date, with services offered and prices, and the ability to book appointments. *Hot tip: There are food and drink spots nearby, including a Starbucks next door, if you want to plan for a little treat during or after your treatment!* However, they do offer water, and sometimes pastries and warm tea! Bella's Beauty Spa is my go-to nail salon! I've tried several spots in the San Bruno/Millbrae/Burlingame area before coming across Bella's last year. Now, I won't go anywhere else-every experience has been relaxing and high quality! Jennifer, the owner, is really friendly and responsive; I don't think I've waited longer than an hour for a reply when trying to set up an appointment through Yelp. Daisy and Lyly are excellent technicians. Most recently, Daisy perfectly executed some 49ers themed French tip nails for me-I've never had so many compliments on my nails! Started with a call a couple weeks before, to make a reservation for a group of 5 for a bridal party. Requested Jennifer for the bride. Called a couple days before to confirm. Actual day we only had 4 of us but they didn't blink or say anything about the change. Appreciated that there was no issues with the change. We did mani and pedi. They offer bottled water. I am very wishy washy about the nail color. Always look at others and cannot decide. I showed photos but ended up not likening the color so they tested a couple for me to make sure I was happy. Everyone was friendly some nail techs were a lot more talkative which was nice. Would definitely come back. My gel manicure lasted 2.5 weeks. I started going to Bella's back in late June and needed to get my nails done for a wedding I was going to. I wasn't completely sure about what I wanted but Jennifer was SO HELPFUL. She did my first set of GelX nails and we both loved the results (see picture 2 with henna and the apple watch). In August I needed my nails done before my trip to Italy and want to do something timeless and classy. We decided on a beautiful blue (see picture 4) that ended up looking amazing and received a plethora of compliments even when I very obviously needed a fill. This past weekend, I went in looking for something Halloween-esque. I decided to go with black(black for Halloween? So original, I know) but with a cat eye effect which was Jennifer's suggestion. I ended up choosing the purple glitter top and LOVED the result (see pictures 1 and 3). My nails are always good quality and last for quite a bit of time. The salon is clean and very modern. I got a gel pedi with French and it was $64 my boyfriend just got a regular pedi and it was $35. We were in and out in 30 mins. I needed to get my nails done for a wedding and Jennifer was quick to respond via Yelp. I requested a gel mani and regular pedi for myself, as well as a standard pedi for my boyfriend. I'm typically a bit wary of salons because you never know what you'll get until you try it, but I was hopeful due to the 5-star rating. Staff was pleasant and Jennifer herself did my mani. I showed her the design I wanted, but unfortunately she did not have any gold foil. Although I was a little disappointed, I was able to accept that as some salons don't specialize in designs and I can't fault them for that. She showed me some stickers that I could try and luckily there was one I was interested in. I also wanted a marble nail design and she said she would attempt to replicate, but was honest with me when she was unable to successfully do so. The pedi was fine and they offer a free paraffin wax with the service. My boyfriend enjoyed it, and was considering getting a clear coat of polish, but he was not offered the choice. We paid a total of $105 for the services with a $20 tip. Jennifer said she would not charge for the designs as they were just for fun, and I was grateful for that. I'm glad she didn't end up charging me because my main reason for being disappointed was that not even 24 hours later, my nails with the sticker designs were already chipping. I messaged Jennifer and thankfully she was able to fix them. Everything seemed to go smoothly until I requested another layer of the top coat. At that point, I felt like she got a little cold with me and didn't like that I was inspecting the nail so closely. I felt like I had the right to especially since I've never had gel chip on me so quickly! I eventually got what I wanted and my nails did last until the wedding 4-5 days later. The top coat started chipping shortly after the wedding- about a week after I had them done. Disappointing, but at least the color coats seemed okay at that point. It's now been 2 weeks since I had my mani and the gel for one of my nails is completely gone. I was fully expecting the gel to not start peeling away or chipping until 3 weeks later as my other experiences with gel polish have all been around that time frame. I guess I shouldn't have gone in with such high expectations, and will stick with my tried-and-true salons. read more

I usually go to MonZoe in Burlingame downtown however they are sometimes way too busy and the technicians were switched on me twice last time which i dislike so i decided to give Bella Spa which comes highly recommended on a local Moms group a try. City paid parking right behind was super convenient. Great choice of color, $55 for a mani-pedi which included free paraffin wax! i have never gotten paraffin wax before and could def feel the difference. The staff was super friendly and collaborative. I wanted a gel manicure ($42), but I was advised that dipping powder ($65) would protect my natural nails better, so I agreed. I had never done dipping powder before, and I was open to trying something new. It seems my nail tech was also new to dipping powder, because she used a base coat that was only meant for gel manicures (uncured gel can cause an allergic reaction and actually hurt someone). She also used WAY too much powder and didn't clean my nails in between layers so they were uneven and my hands looked like I murdered a smurf. The presumed owner noticed and yelled at the tech in front of me and then took over doing my nails, it was very uncomfortable. The owner fully redid one of my hands by drilling off the powder, so my nails got extra damage anyway. It took a full hour and a half to do and I wasn't offered any discounts or comped services. Looking at the finished product, there are towel fibers stuck on my nails, and a few nails weren't polished properly so they're rough at the tip. Not a horrible look, but absolutely not worth full price because of the bad experience. I'm honestly the most upset about the fact that they up-charged me for something the tech didn't know how to do. read more

First timer here! Quality of my gel pedicure was fabulous, thanks to Vin!!! I'm 8 months pregnant and she really pampered me. My legs and feet truly needed this after carrying another human inside of me for months lol. Gel Mani by Jessica was great, too, best part was the massage at the end which really got me so relaxed. Cash for tips is preferred, be prepared for that. After trying out most of the nail salons in Burlingame, I definitely will come here again! The fist lady was nice then the other lady -I do not remember her name -was rude and she cut my nails unwillingly pretty quick ,left and ruined my nails !
