I'm a winner scratched off three Cherries it lined up with the winning prize of $1000 all the possible scratchers lined up with a prize a number was to match..I got that stops counterfeit papers. Each prize lined up with a different scratcher drove 35 min each way on a con job.. got ear buds. Called this place about a specific vehicle. 6 times to be exact. First time they took my number and told me they will call me back the next morning but that never happened. I called again and the same guy told me that he's gonna call me as soon as he get on the lot. Never called, so I called again and was told that I need to speak to the manager as he's the only one who can locate that vehicle but he wasn't in. Called again, was told that they don't know anything about it, called again and was told that it's been sold a month earlier. After being a little skeptical to deal with this business due to the prior reviews, I went ahead and clicked an online ad for them offering up to $5000 more than Kelly Blue Book on trade-ins and cars you're selling. The ad messaged me back saying someone would call me, that didn't happen. I received a few more messages from the online ad which I sent pictures and more info of my vehicle to. Ultimately, they scheduled me to come in at 1pm that day to have my vehicle appraised. They told me to contact Jason Roberts, so I have my son take it down there and when he arrives, he's unable to gain access to the building (signs on the door saying do not enter), he gets back in our vehicle and calls the dealership and whoever answers says Jason Roberts isn't there and hangs up on my son. At 1:15pm I call and someone tells me Jason Roberts isn't there but this man Sam Jones will be helping me, so I tell my son and he goes inside. After the inspection, I get a call from my sons phone and he's on speaker with Sam Jones in the background, he's very unprofessional, pushy and wouldn't give me an offer which was unheard of for me. His words were "tell me a realistic number of what you want for your truck", I tell him my number, he comes in lower, I tell him ill talk to my husband & then he gets real pushy refusing to let me hang up, insisting that I accept a number before we hang up. So fast forward, we had another appointment to get another appraisal an hour later which I had told Sam Jones about on our call. That dealership beat Tranquillity's offer and we accepted. I call Sam Jones while my husband is finalizing paperwork with the other dealership just to give him a heads up and to give him the opportunity to counter offer, and he didn't answer. An hour later he texts me asking when I'll be in and I inform him we took a higher offer on the truck. His response was "Fucking Bitch!!". Needless to say I was floored. While the professionalism was very under par the entire experience, I still give people respect and the benefit of the doubt. To be honest, after all the other reviews, I was afraid their check might not clear the bank if I sold my truck to them. 0/10 review from me, I would NEVER do business with this place. Purchased a 2021 Silverado 10/2021 and still haven't received my license plates. Contacted the DMV only to find out that I'm not showing in their system and was told to contact dealer. Spoke to the so called general manager Cam or Kam who gave me the run around. DMV again told me that I wasn't in their system. Messaged the salesperson who sold me the vehicle and explained the situation but still hasn't responded. DO NOT BUY from these guys. My experience started out great. I saw Tranquility Chevrolet had a truck I really wanted. I live on the opposite side of Fresno County and traveled 1.5 hours to get there. Scottie was our salesman and he was great. The truck I was interested in was used and I had a trade in. I still owed money on my trade in. We agreed on a price quickly and they gave me a good price for my trade in. I went home with my new/used truck and thought all was well. This was November of 2019 and the truck was due to expire on January 31, 2020. They told me my tags would be mailed to me. Soon after I received a call from my previous lender who threatened to penalize me for not having insurance on the vehicle. I told them I traded the vehicle in and they made a note of it. I called Tranquility Chevrolet who said they had mailed the payoff. About another month goes by and I receive another letter for no insurance. I call TC again and they blame the banks for the delayed payoff. I now begin to worry because I haven't received my tags yet and the truck is about to expire. I call TC who told me they forgot to do a VIN verification and ask me to drive to tranquility. I drive to tranquility, they take pictures of the truck and VIN, and gave me some cash to pay for my fuel. I call TC the last week of January and talk to the finance manager, Rodney Smith. When I asked about my tags he said, "You didn't get my call?" and said my tags were sitting on his desk. I ask him to mail my tags and he agrees to overnight them. A week goes by and no tags. I call TC again and they tell me they will have someone call me back. Someone calls me the next day and tells me they need me to drive my truck down to do a VIN verification. At this time I politely vent and explain my frustrations to this employee who I've never talked to before. He tells me they need me to get a weight certificate before they can register the vehicle. I go to Jensen/99, pay $12 or so bucks for a certificate. I drive to TC again and drop off the weight certificate and they give me $12. At this time I'm glad its over, or so I think. I get a notice from Credit Karma and so does my wife. We discover Tranquility Chevrolet took over 2 months to pay off our trade in, and we were dinged two late payments. My wife had an 808 credit score that dropped over 75 points! Most of my interactions and conversations were with Rodney Smith. He's a liar! DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM TRANQUILITY CHEVROLET! read more

Zero star rating if possible. Went in over 3 months ago to trade in my car yet they have not paid off my trade in. Worse dealer ever it should be shut down. I was there for a couple of hours doing paperwork did not even get offered a water. Truck I bought was dirty inside and out I'm not sure why it was up for sale to begin with. While doing paperwork the workers could have been cleaning it up but yet they were washing their own personal cars. Left the dealer with 81 miles until empty on my pickup they couldn't at least fill up the tank. I keep calling to get a hold of their worthless staff but every time it's the same thing. Finance manger isn't in, he's busy, we'll give you a call back, it's just excuse after excuse. Save yourself the time and hassle of dealing with such a worthless dealership. read more

Purchased a car here. As I am driving the car home the "low oil" message displays on the dash. The dealership has had the car for a while, it's been sitting, probably received no love during that time, yada yada, I'm not worried about it. I top it off with oil. Fastfoward 500-700 miles later and the "low oil" message pops up again. At this point I know we have an actual issue. I pay a local shop to let me use their lift for an hour so I can look underneath the car and what do I find? The entire oil pan and some of the transmission is covered in sludge (among some other issues with suspension and catback system). Oil droplets have formed all around the front of the engine. JS Chevy has their own lift in the shop and their mechanic swore up and down that the engine and transmission where healthy. They had the car for AT LEAST several months and I know they were driving it from time to time, not to mention giving potential buyers test rides. At the rate oil is leaking under load there is no way they were not aware of this issue. The leak itself is visible with the car on a lift. As many problems as I have discovered since purchasing the vehicle (the list is no short one, I assure you) I was willing to overlook them all but an oil leak is not something I take lightly. Especially a known but undisclosed oil leak. I'd avoid this dealership. If you think you've found a bargain drive the car to a nearby reputable dealer and pay $100-$200 for a PPI. As for the car the next step is to do a leak-down test to locate the source of the leak once I've returned from a business trip. Should this be a minor issue (highly unlikely) I will return and give a better rating. Until then my rating stays at 1 star. read more

Warning! Be very aware of this place. I just recently traded in my old car for a newer car. However, after reading some of the reviews in waiting for the payoffs, I'm more worried than I was before. Listen my wife and I had a small car which was just fine but we needed more room. So we've considered getting a bigger vehicle. We were thinking a sporty mini-van or small SUV. Well anyway we get a letter in the mail informing us that, "we'll pay your old car off for a newer car". I liked that idea, so we thought about it for about two months, until we finally decided to take Tranquility Chevrolet up on its offer. First Red Flag: My initial call, the guy on the other line answered with, "is this about the letter"? No hello how may I help you or welcome to Tranquility Chevrolet. But instead I get, "is this about the letter"? Second Red Flag: I live in the city of Fresno, so it's a 45 minute drive to reach the dealership. So when I pulled up I noticed not one staff person was wearing a mask. NOT ONE! I almost turned around and left. If I wasn't fully vaccinated, I would've left. My wife and I are both fully vaccinated, so we're good. But if you're providing customer service and you're not wearing a face covering then you could be potentially spreading COVID to unsuspecting customers. Listen I understand not everybody's a mask person but if you're providing any type of face to face customer service, then your staff should be wearing them at all times when you come into contact with someone you're not familiar with. Third Red Flag; My wife and myself really love this very nice low miles minivan. It looked great in the online inventory. However when we took it out for a test drive, it had no gasoline. We basically had to drive it a half mile then hurry back, before it stalled. Also the inside looked like it had been sitting unattended for very long time. It should have been detailed prior to letting customers look at it. They still offered a very good deal. We reluctantly accepted. It ran very good and it's practically brand new except the dirty interior. I'm nervous worrying about the late payoffs, other people have reported. The fluids in the car all needed to be topped off. I got my own mechanic for that. IMO: This place is not worth the headache unless you're a resident of the Tranquility area. They are very unprofessional and the real Chevrolet Dealership companies should consider pulling Tranquility Chevrolet from its enterprises. read more

Bought a car from them, regretting it every day. They said the replaced the CV axles on the car before I bought it, and two weeks later an axle started vibrating and leaking fluid from the transmission. Went to a real mechanic and they said the dealer installed poor quality parts. I tried to follow up with the sales manager who sold me the car, but he's very unprofessional and is now ignoring me. The car was also missing some parts that were there when I test drove it - the cupholder attachment was gone and the battery cover was missing. Don't know what's going on with their repair shop, don't trust them to do ANY work on a car you buy from them. read more

Back in May me and my husband traded in our truck for a new one. Everything seemed great up until they hadn't paid off our trade in. I was receiving phone calls from our previous finance company that the payment was late and was getting charged some late fees. We spoke with the owner and he made a fairly large payment and blamed the bank for the payoff taking so long. We thought it would be taken care of after that, well we wait some more and then we happen to get a letter in the mail saying that the registration for the trade will be suspended because we don't have insurance on the vehicle. I call the finance company for the trade in and let them know what is going on and they say that they have not received a payoff check and that we would have to speak to the dealership to get this situated. They finally paid off our trade in about a month after which I was grateful for because they no longer had the vehicle in their possession they had already sold it to someone else. Now fast forward to August and we are waiting for our tags and license plates this is 3 months after the purchase which is fine we had temporary plates but they were due to expire on August 9th so we call the DMV to see what we can do so we don't get a ticket since it was taking so long and it turns out the DMV had no record of our vehicle in their system. The new truck we bought had never been registered. We get on the phone with the dealer they give me some story about how there is a delay with the DMV but they would provide us with temporary plates well when I give them a call to let them know I would be going to pick them up they want to give me another story about how a friend of my husbands went and picked them up for us, We let them know we didn't send anyone and why wouldn't they confirm with us or ID for such important documents. They said they would have to get back to us. Fast forward to August 27th get a message letting us know tags and plates are ready to be picked up, so now I drive down to tranquility and pick them up and when I look at the registration it shows that the tags had barely been paid and registered on August 19th that was 8 days ago we have had that truck since the beginning of May. I have traded in several cars over the years and I have never had to deal with something like this. My trade in usually gets paid off in a timely manner and I'm not getting the run around for the payoff or for my tags. I'm not the type that normally leaves reviews but this was definitely one of the worst experiences I have had with a dealer. If you do decide to shop here keep in mind things don't get done in a timely manner. read more
