Light show

Should be called a light and music show. This is NOT an orchestra! Maybe 10 musicians 3 singers and dancers. I was expecting an orchestra so I was disappointed. I wouldn't have been disappointed if I knew I was going to a light/music show. Very expensive for a music/light show. Take earplugs, very loud!

This show rocks !!!!! I took my wife daughter & grandchildren. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

Before the show.

Not sure what the hype is about. Yes, some talented musicians, but the show itself was confusing. Xmas essence but not? Seemed divided between Christ and Satan to be honest, which lent to the overall confusion for most I believe. Depressing theme to start, sexual innuendo with young female children and a male in a video, confusing storyline, just weird all around. Very '80's but not in a good way, 80's tech-ish. Would have been a little more tolerable if they just played music, skip the narration and very odd video story background, and dial back the light show. Do not recommend. Worst concert experience ever. Also - how do venues get away with charging $7.50 for a 500ml bottle of pop? It's criminal!

2023 VyStar Arena, Jacksonville, FL. Just left. Disappointed. Great light show but very "balloty" not that uplifting rock show they use to put on. My 22 year old son actually fell asleep. Sorry, not worth the money.

12.03.21 Trans-Siberian Orchestra "Christmas Eve and Other Stories" at the Golden 1 Center [Sacramento CA]

TSO 2021 Winter Tour: Christmas Eve and Other Stories [Sacramento CA] They were at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. They hosted two shows on December 3rd. We attended the 7:30p show. We were on the nosebleed 200 level seats but it actually wasn't too bad because we didn't need to see the faces of the performers, not like a Broadway show or a play... it was an incredible view watching the light show, a spectacular sight in itself and a more desirable view from our angle looking below because we could see everything. Audio was great in the back, not bassy or garbled had we had seats close to the front stage. Those speakers are set to pump out a lot of volume because the sound waves have to make their way around all those bodies and other objects in the venue. The main thing I wanted to watch was the "Carol of the Bells" performance. When this song plays on the radio it's officially Christmas LoL! (imho) Best Christmas song especially their version. It was performed in the first hour of the concert so it was cool that we didn't have to wait until the end. I didn't recognize any of the songs performed but I liked the instrumental medley of classic Christmas songs like "O Come Let Us Adore Him" and "O Holy Night." Blas Elias! He is one of two drummers for TSO. We also saw him perform in "Raiding the Rock Vault" at Las Vegas twice. The venue was much smaller at the Hard Rock so we were able to watch him up close. Excellent musician! Fun to watch him rock those drums! Lastly, we did not stay for the entire show. We must've stayed for 1.5 hours. No intermission. I think the show still ran for another hour. Hubby was mostly concerned about getting out of the parking garage. Was stuck inside there once after attending another concert and it was chaotic and took forever getting out. We played it safe and just left early. Review #2457

I saw the show a couple years ado. It was awful. Slow and dragged on and on. Most boring "Christmas" show ever! I wanted to walk out.

How long is the show?

At least an hour of good rock and roll Christmas theme, then it gets weird / Dark / people even left early and I should have, I don't think I will every go again.

My first visit was on 8/22/25 for their healthcare night, where showing your healthcare job badge would get you an additional free raffle ticket from Cocina Hangouts (local food truck), on top of the free raffle ticket you could've received by following them on Instagram. Kind of underwhelming lol, but it did the job of attracting my party of 3 to the bar. I tried the Sweet Cheeks, which was sweet and unique and refreshingly light. The next time I stopped by was the very next day 8/23/25 for their Super Smash Bros tournament of up to 32 players, $10 buy-in, and cash prize (and other prizes for 2nd and 3rd place). There was 1 set-up with a large projector and 2 MC's. This was my first Smash tournament, but I didn't get to stay long due to work the next day, and I didn't purchase a drink. The event was very lively and crowded, and I wished I stayed longer! Will be back to participate/spectate another tournament. Overall lively dive bar that can provide a fun but chill night out! I'm also looking forward to taking advantage of their Monday-Friday 2-6p HAPPY HOUR if I have the chance.

Opened in 2003, it anchors the massive $1 billion, 223-acre Westgate Entertainment District. The venue is currently owned by the City of Glendale and managed by ASM Global. The Arena can hold up to 19,000 attendees and features 87 luxury suites and 3,075 club seats. They have also been the home of the Indoor Football League's Arizona Rattlers since 2024. With all that said, it's a great arena weather you're here to catch a shower or watch some sports. They even set off some fireworks indoors for the Arizona Rattlers' games which I find insane.

My seat was also good even though it was far back with all of the projections you could see everything. I got a last minute ticket to see Florence & the Machine. My friend and I wanted to grab a bite and a drink prior to the show so we showed up super early but despite a million restaurants around almost every spot had a super long wait. When we finally got in to the arena they had very limited food selections -- quite disappointing actually -- and WAAAAAY over priced!! For a titos and soda (double so I didn't have to keep going back) it was almost $40!!! I spent more $$ on food and drink then I did on the tickets -- that really seems wrong. We ended up with seats on a special club level which was super nice because the seats were very comfy and the bathrooms were so nice and clean and close by -- so that was a major plus. The place was a madhouse (the whole Westgate area) we ended up leaving before encore because we took a Lyft and wanted to make sure we didn't have to wait a million years to get one out of there. Plus that part was really confusing where to drop and pick one up for Lyft/Uber -- but we finally made it out. Next time I will drive as parking seems a plenty (for a price but still less than I paid for a lyft there and back)

We started going to Hooper's based strictly on the fact it the closest bar to our home and an Uber ride is about $6 one way. Live music most Friday and Saturday nights starting at 8. A mix of genres with an emphasis on classic rock or 90's. Some nights very loud, some nights perfect. Cheap beers, good selection of draft. . (Please bring back Big Blue Van) easy going bartenders and mostly blue collar, middle class regulars. No drama. I can't vouch for mens room but ladies room clean. . Great smoking patio with heaters in winter and coolers in the summers. All NFL games shown Sunday morning and afternoon, Karaoke Sunday night. The only downsize is they don't serve food, but bartenders and management don't have a problem if you bring in from several nearby restaurants.

I already reviewed my local location in Hanover, MD. Didn't have much to add to Gaithersburg, MD or Springfield, VA location except that I had my 32nd birthday party in Springfield, the first location in the DC area. Prior to moving to the DC area in 2011, I lived in Phoenix. I had been to all 3 Valley locations Glendale (Westgate), Phoenix (Desert Ridge), & Scottsdale (Fashion Square Mall) [Scottsdale one no longer exists]. My 1st visit to a Yard House ever was this Glendale location in 2008. My friend invited me to this location citing their great happy hour. I remember I liked the sliders on the happy hour pricing, which was cheap back then. A wide variety of beer options and huge glasses the length of a half yard. A full yard would be difficult to drink and way too much beer to drink in one sitting; plus the beer would get warm & flat by the time you'd finish a whole yard of beer. Staff was nice at the Glendale location. Now, 18 years later happy hour is still good albeit different and yes more expensive but still good deal relative to normal price.
