They sent out TEMP LABORERS they were paying 18.00 an hour to deliver our goods. I filled out a claim form that the driver provided and told us they would repair the damage to our brand new floors. We never heard anything from them, and when I called 2 months later to discuss it they had no record of a damage report. It trickles from the top down in their organization and they charged us 1500.00 extra for the delivery saying our driveway was inaccessible. If they hired competent help that could navigate a truck it wouldn't be an issue as we have had many many subsequent deliveries of furniture and applicances of trucks of equal or larger size. BUYER BEWARE. They are awful.

We covered it all with blankets and quilts we wanted to bring and all was fine and everything arrived fine. The people in the office were helpful and nice. We would definitely do it again.

After CLEARLY telling these people that my shipment was for my BUSINESS, not my home, and that these items were urgently needed ASAP, they spent nearly a MONTH doing NOTHING to expedite shipment, while giving excuses about "consolidation", thus my items simply sat in Kona for a MONTH, not moving AT ALL. Furthermore, I couldn't even get answers from their staff on the shipment's progress until I finally got angry at them, which I CONSTANTLY had to do to get further answers about it. After spending a mind-boggling $6,200+ on shipping what amounts to a CLOSET, (7x7x4 box) these people should have had SUPERIOR customer service, and showed at least SOME effort to get my shop equipment moved in a reasonable amount of time.....they told me "6-8 weeks"...it has now been almost 3 MONTHS, and my equipment is STILL not here, because, apparently, their parent company, DeWitt, is just as incompetent, so here I am, wondering why my items are just sitting at the harbor in California, having arrived there 8 days ago, and are STILL NOT MOVING, while I'm getting MORE stupid excuses about "consolidation". I packed & label 17 boxes, a 9 piece dinette set. The movers showed up at the appointed time. Loaded my boxes form my 3 fl apt& built a shipping container that was truly stout for my belongings. Everrfging including my vehicle was shipped to Honolulu . It arrived in 7 days and then since it was the 4th of July holiday I had to wait for everything to be shipped to the Big island. That was expected because of the 3 day weekend. When they were delivered to my house everything was in perfect condition, not a scratch , sent or anything. My car was delivered and other than it being dusty which was expected nothing was was wrong. No salt water damage, no dents, scratches no nothing. I'm a retired fire department captain and I'm really particular. And Kona The Container Guy is the best. There's no doubt about it.

Based on that, I arranged for pickup on October 21st, which is well within their four-day storage window. But later on October 20th they sent another text saying the car had been available since October 17th! When my driver arrived on October 21st to collect the car, Matson charged him $15 for one day of storage! Matson has ignored my request for reimbursement.
