We had a blast at the escape room right by the downtown crossing/ park street next to AMC Theatre in Boston Common. The "Institute" room had some great puzzles that kept us on our toes. The "decor" of the room was really amazing. We managed to escape with few mins to spare! They also had a few games and drinks for purchase at the 2nd floor lobby if you want to hang out pre- or post- games. Ezra, our game guide, was awesome--super helpful and stayed in character. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a fun challenge in the city!

Super fun and great for families. Our family will definitely go back to try a few more rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Very fun! A lot of unique escape rooms! Do book as a private party as you may be placed with strangers. Fun to meet new people but cannot always work out sometimes. They take a picture of you at the end to remember the experience! I would recommend!

Tom brings us around to the spectacular locations and spots where specific mobsters from the years past were doing their cunning and not so cunning work. Tom's knowledge for this thoroughly interesting topic is unmatched. His serious knowledge of the history of other significant historical places and events speckled with his dry "Bastan" humor. Made this trip extremely worthwhile. The duration was four hours long which also included a Lobster dinner at a local eatery on the south Boston harbor. I haven't laughed this hard in a long while. If you are in beantown for a spell. I highly recommend you and you motley crew join Tom for an interesting alcohol added trip back in time. I am positive your jaws and cheeks will be sore from laughing so hard. Be aware this is an "R" rated trip! But very worth it. Thanks Tom for making this a great memorable evening.

The space is absolutely gorgeous and located in an old building with major speakeasy vibes, which made the experience feel even more special. We were welcomed by the owners, Carolyn and Jason, with delicious Rye Whiskey Sours along with an amazing spread of artisanal cheeses and meats. For the class, Jason taught us not only about premium liquors and how to make four different cocktails, but also about the history of alcohol and cocktails. I wasn't expecting that part, but it was so interesting and made the experience feel like much more than just a cocktail-making class. They also incorporated a fun team system where we earned points for answering trivia questions, which added a really fun and competitive element to the experience. The four cocktails we made were an Apple Jack Old Fashioned with brandy, a Bees Knees with gin, a Cuban Espresso Martini with tequila, and a Spicy Pineapple Tequila Sour. Every single drink was delicious! Some of these are cocktails I probably never would have thought to order, but I ended up loving them all. The Bees Knees was so good that I actually bought the syrup afterward so I can make it at home. They did such a great job setting up our bartending stations and cleaning throughout the class, which made the whole experience feel very seamless. Jason was also an incredible host. He literally learned every single person's name in the class, which I found so impressive and made the experience feel much more personalized and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend this class for a date night, girls' night, group activity, or anyone looking for something unique to do in Boston. I definitely want to come back for their Global Cocktail class. This was easily one of the best activities I've tried in Boston!

She booked four rides for me within minutes and then I asked her if there was any chance CCA had airport transportation. Game master gave us hints over the loud speaker unprompted/unasked and spoiled the game multiple times for us. Like dude, just give us a second. An incredibly important unlock is done by pulling on the decor, which we were instructed not to do, so he had to tell us to do it. The climatic end puzzle didn't work because the technology didn't work. We figured it out, did it right but it didn't say it was correct. So we spent the next almost 10 minutes trying to figure it out a different way only to be told that we just needed to do it slower and we were correct. Like what?? To improve this room: 1. Provide paper (needed to keep track of numbers, if you did this room you know exactly what I mean) 2. Label it as intermediate the puzzle alone is reason enough but oh my god- I wouldn't spoil it because that's rude but there were multiple times that it was INSANE like the "" puzzle was actually the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. 3. Fix the tech or at least provide the needed info: If a code needs to be typed in slowly, say that. One of the code input screens you barely had the ability of a touch screen so you had to slam your finger into it. 4. If your room is so dysfunctional that your game master is forced to give unprompted hints, that's a sign to get back to the drawing board. What I will say is this game had two very impressive technical aspects, sadly they were part of two extremely difficult puzzles but still, impressive. Overall, for the hefty price and very high ratings this place has, we were extremely disappointed and honestly angry. We have done around 12 escape rooms as a group and have never been through one so dysfunctional and disjointed, with a Game Master who actively ruined our game but was also forced too at some points due to the room's issues. Thank god I brought some good friends so at least the company was enjoyable. Refund wanted for sure.

They have a lovely dining room for guests with homemade cookies, fruit, coffee and tea. Unfortunately I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, but I'm sure it's great too. CCB is really the perfect mix of a hotel and bed/breakfast.
