When I got to Trapper's II, it seemed that all of Minoa was in the house. What could be all the hoopla? I had ordered a house 18" meatball pie. The crust was thin, tasty, but lacked the chew I look for; it was a bit lighter than most in texture. The cheese, a little on the heavy side, had no stretch or snap. Ordinary mozzarella. The sauce was very good and tangy. The meatballs were plentiful and complimented the pie. The bake on the pie was excellent and it is hand made. I know this place is popular. I've been a few times and had to wait for a while. Tonight I went and ordered 4 dishes. It took about 40 minutes and the order was wrong. We weren't given an itemized receipt. They charges us for the incorrect order. There were tables left dirty for over 20 minutes. They wiped the door before cleaning tables. It food is also pretty pricey. I get that it was busy before we got there, but the wait would not have been as long had the correct order been taken. read more

When I want excellent pizza and wings and feel comfortable stretching my wallet quite a bit extra this is my go to. You consistently get what you order at Trapper's ll. The pizza is crunchy and oozing with cheese. Toppings are fresh! The blue cheese is unique. There is secret spice in it. Thyme? That makes it extra special. Wings are the fattest around. No problem. I get there and the place is crowded lots going on, a 2 piece band setting up In The corner people at the bar. I got to the counter and the girls asks my order, I tell her and she says oh hang on one sec!?? A guy comes around to tell me they don't have the regular square for the tomato pie so they put it on round regular dough. Ok no worries I'll try it. So it was good. Not spectacular, but a solid 3 stars tomato pie!! The consistency was there, flavor also and the crust was light, which was a pleasant surprise considering I wasn't expecting that much crust it was cooked right not burnt pieces of dough. This food was absolutely amazing. I was greeted with amazing service and a very large menu. Personally, this is an amazing food location.

One of the the best tasting pizzas in Syracuse area. Especially the sausage and mushroom. But the service does not live up to the pizza. I have had to wait many times much longer then quoted. One time I waited 30 min longer only to find my pizza sitting in a wood block getting cold. They did not charge me for it. Parking is fine and they have a lot of family activities different nights if the week. Cost is $$. Every year superior seal ( who's owner owns trappers) sends us a pizza coupon. That is welcomed and shows commitment to his customers. All in all I recommend their pizzas. Just don't expect great service. They also have volleyball and other outside activities in the summer. The only reason I am giving them three stars is because they tried. I was in there with my sister and my nieces for dinner on Saturday evening, they had a good crowd but it was far from busy. We ordered 2 slices, a salad, Wingdings, garlic knots, and chicken and French fries, it took 45 minutes for us to get our food. The kids were all so patient while they waited for their food, I however was not. Fourth five minutes for fries food is ridiculous, especially when people who ordered after us were getting their food before us. When we finally got our food I discovered they s freed up our order, I asked for one slice of cheese pizza and they put in for a while medium. When I went the counter she apologized and refunded the money and gave us the pizza anyway. When we got Wingdings they were cold, I was at the counter and said something to the girl and she offered to take them back and make fresh ones, I appreciated that but the kids were already eating them because they were so hungry. Then they forgot our order if garlic knots so I had to go back up again. Over all this was not a good experience and I don't know if I'll go back anytime soon to eat there. read more

Stopped by on a recent Saturday night with friends to have a few drinks and catch a ballgame. Had never been and was quite impressed. Very spacious inside with ample seating everywhere. Dozens of TVs around the bar/pizza area- so its nearly impossible not to find a game/event that you can watch. Had a few slices of pizza while we were there(Buffalo Chicken)- and it was delicious. Another member of our group commented how he frequents Trappers with his family for dinner/pizza. Service was very friendly and attentive. Great ingredients, well cooked, super tasty pizza. We got off the NY thruway en route to buffalo cuz we were craving pizza. Yelp did not fail us. Order at the counter, take a number, soak up the roadhouse vibe. Pinball, skeeball, electric darts and TVs abound--along with some just loud enough music. Acceptable for children, as well as adults! They have a super popular and fun volleyball league, and great trivia too. Our golf league had our end of the year banquet here, It was great. They set up tables for our 32 guys so we had a private corner. There were plenty of tv's so we could watch football while we ate. I've been here on several occasions and I can say first of all the service here had never been great. This trip I stood at the bar for near 15 min. waiting to get a drink. The bartender walked by me several times until I waved money at her, never thought I would have to beg people to take my money. Second, we ordered a pizza half with mushrooms and cheese and the other half with sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms and onions. We also ordered 20 wings. The pizza came out with sausage, mushrooms and onions on one side and pepperoni and mushrooms on the other. I was going to take it back and complain but everyone was so hungry and the place was filling up so no one wanted to wait for another one. 10 min. later the wings came out and they were so over cooked they were like eating shoe leather. Sports bar type atmosphere with some of the best pizza I have had in a while! The staff was super friendly and attentive. One odd aspect is that food and drink bills are separate. A little weird but the pizza and service definitely out weighted any hassle there. Let me start by saying I like drinking at this place. Eating here however is a different story. Went there on a Saturday afternoon (1:30pm) and there was maybe 4 people in the place. We ordered simple food (burger, quesadilla and a plate of "loaded" fries for an appetizer. All the items took 25min to get to us and the appetizer came with the main meal. The meal itself was fine, but the loaded fries (cheese and bacon) wasn't edible. The cheese looked like it was Cheez-wiz or something and didn't taste like real cheese. Now I'm not a picky eater by any means, but I couldn't have more than 2 bites of this stuff. We told the bartender when it came time to settle the bill but she said she couldn't remove the fries from the bill ($12) and gave us a $10 gift card for when we come in again. Only the second time in this trappers and i was not disapointed! It was a very snowy nasty sunday, with a few folks at the bar so ut felt like we had the place to ourselves. It was my wife , sister, mom,dad and myself. The very nice lady at the counter figured out that if we ordered the special we would pay only 6 dollars more and have some food to take home! Winner for this pizza loving guy! Also she set us up with a pitcher so we cold refil ourr sodas and gave us a 2 liter to tak home instead of giving us 2 two liters. After the 2 huge pizza aand wings came out my mother joked that it might not be enough food for the 5 of use. 10 or 15 minutes later the pizza chef came out with some fried dough! Soft fluffy with cinnamon sugar and w dupping sauces, chocolate and caramel , just to try. They were small round balls not the long tough strips you get at the fair. And speaking of the fair they have skee ball, bubble hockey, 4 claw machines and pinball. Overall one of the bbest pizzas i've had in a long time.
