For take out, we got some pasta dishes and they stayed pipping hot even after our 20 minute drive home. As for our dine in experiences, we go with the Caesar salad and Dolce Pesto pizza. I've gotten it both in a 12" and 18" size and both were equally delicious. The bar is quick, we like to sit at the tables in that space and have a glass of wine and a beer with our meal. Visited for a celebratory dinner for 7. We had a reservation and were seated as soon as we arrived. Our table was a mismatch of a 4 top and 2 top that were slightly different heights so that was awkward. We had calamari and Utica greens for starters. The calamari was bland to my taste but the rest of the party liked them. The greens were fine, could've used some spice. Very small portion. I had the branzino oreganata. Fish was cooked well and the tomatoes on the side were tasty. The asparagus was bland and one piece was woody. Not bad overall. I will say that the entrees don't come with a soup or salad so that's something to be aware of. I'm not sure if this happens regularly but there was also a dude named Pinky playing keyboard and sax in the corner. Never thought I would hear smooth jazz versions of "Sweet Caroline" or "Danny Boy" or even "If I were a Rich Man" from Fiddler on the Roof. Certainly an international setlist. Avicolli's is one of my favorite local restaurants. This is the second time I've had the Truffle Steak Pasta (19.95) for lunch and it is DIVINE! So rich and creamy with perfect pieces of mushroom and steak. I like that it's not a full piece of steak that I would have to cut up with the pasta. They offer a generous amount of cheese filled rigatoni on the plate with plenty of sauce. Hot tip: ask for more bread to dip into your sauce! My friend ordered the baked rigatoni ($15.95) and thought the sauce had mild taste that wasn't too sweet or tangy, and it had the perfect consistency - not watery at all. He also really liked that the rigatoni was a thicker, high quality pasta. The baked rigatoni was topped with the ideal amount of parma reggiano on top of the mozzarella. The Avicolli family migrated to the U.S. from Isernia Italy in 1972 bringing with them old family recipes used for generations and still used today in our restaurants and in our homes. Avicolli's originally opened in Liverpool, NY in 1983 with Avicolli's Coal Fire following in August 2019. Their intention was to bring a bit of NYC to CNY by featuring the first ever coal fired oven in the area. My wife and I don't get to the Fayetteville area very much, but we had to drive through to an event in Cazenovia and stopped in for dinner. It was about 4:30PM on a Sunday and were sat immediately and greeted by our server. We had already looked over the menu, so we knew what we wanted, and ordered a full order of the honey garlic rosemary coal fired wings and a 12" simply sausage pizza. My wife also ordered a margarita. Our food was delivered quickly and everything was good. The wings were large and cooked well, we liked the sauce even though it was a little sweeter than I would've liked. The pizza was good, although a little soft in the middle. When we were first sat, there were very few other tables there, but the restaurant filled quickly, and it took a while for our server to come back to the table after we were done eating and waiting to ask for a box. When he did come back, he apologized for the wait and told us he had my wifes drink removed from the bill for the wait - something we didn't ask for, but definitely appreciated. I will start this as I always do by saying that I don't give out five stars unless I am really blown away. We have been looking forward to coming here since we heard it was coming into this location. The decor felt high end pizza parlor with a little industrial touch. The panted brick was a nice touch for the coal fire pizza feel. The menu has a good amount of options but felt it is a little overpriced. We had an order of Utica Greens because we love Utica Greens. They came out quick but they were overly salty unfortunately. They had a little spice to them and were cooked perfectly. The salt was just a little to much. We both ordered a 12 inch pizza I had the sausage and my better half had the arugula, prosciutto and added ricotta. My pizza was good. The sausage was delicious but the other meat was a little salty. The other meat overpowered the flavor of the sauce and cheese. I wish I had just ordered the crumbled sausage and it would have been perfect. The arugula pizza with the ricotta was delicious. The sauce on both pizzas was missing a little flavor but the crust was perfect. They have only been open a month so I will revisit for sure. I hope adjustments will be made and this place stays open. Love the bar area and the feel of the place. The price is a bit high for the product being put out so I hope they adjust the flavors to make it worth our while. read more

I should come here more often. It is always packed, even on weekday nights so make a reservation. They have a cool bar but it can be hard to get a seat during peak after work hours. While the pizza and burgers are fine I find the entrees to be fantastic. My usual is the Seafood Fra Diavolo, I recently had the Chicken Cacciatore which was also phenomenal. This is a busy place, even on a Sunday! I popped in around 4pm as a solo diner before a work event. This is definitely a great place to meet family or friends for dinner. The host said they didn't have any seats available for 1 and requested that I sit at the bar. If I had more time, I would have started with the French onion or wedding soup. The massive meatballs also looked delish. I went with the chicken marsala. It was less sweet, more of a winey and black pepper flavor. I picked fettuccine pasta for my side with Marsala sauce. Went on a Saturday night. Started with drinks in the bar, including my wife's signature cocktail that she loved. At the table, we split a beet salad, and my wife had the salmon while I opted for a shrimp risotto special, that was perfectly cooked. I really like this place a lot. The staff is great, the meals are cooked really well. However, whichever person is in charge of sourcing their steak needs to up their game. Second time I've ordered steak from here and both times the cuts of meat were awful. Not just fat on the ends and sides, but throughout the entire cut of meat. This time I ordered the strip steak special. It was cooked perfectly. But the meat was horrible. Chewy and all fat in every bite. If I'm going to spend $50 on a steak, it should be a quality cut of meat. I don't blame the staff or the cooks, this is squarely on the owner going cheap when sourcing their meat. read more

We had a great dinner here tonight. I was surprised they still had their winter drink menu out, but I guess the weather has not reflected spring consistently yet. I had the Avicolli's burger and it was fantastic! My wife had a normal deluxe burger and she was more than satisfied. The fries were delicious and fresh! They have a nice selection of beer. Waitress was more than nice! Everyone was so nice. I will say it was a little crammed inside but it was very nice. We will probably be back to try more! We also got a large cheese pizza to go for the kids. It turned out that it's a margarita style pizza. It's not bad pizza but is just not my favorite kind of pizza at all! I would like to recommend Avivollies in Fayetteville NY. I order 1 and 1/2 trays of Chicken Riggies and a Tray of Chicken Parmesan for my husbands 60th birthday party. We talked with Nick and he recommend the amounts for the group we had invited. Order was ready on time and hot. Brought to the party and was a huge hit!!! Riggies were very good. Has anyone else had an issue with their food being burned? This is the second time my friend had to send food back, first a calzone several months ago and again tonight for a pizza crust very blackened on the bottom. My lasagna was 5/10; my homemade lasagna has more flavor, and the last time I was Avicolli's the French onion soup was so salty I had to send it back (they apologized, saying it was "the bottom of the pot". The appetizers were very good, the server Samantha was very attentive but the food just hasn't been good lately. Everyone was pleased with their food...except the side of pasta that accompanied the Chicken Parm. Pasta was overcooked and the marinara sauce was really acidic/bitter -- had two bites and gave up. I had a short road trip to Syracuse with my wife to visit some of her family there, and they wanted us to try Avicolli's and made a reservation for us at 6 PM. We arrived just before our appointed reservation (maybe 5:50-5:55). Upon entering you feel a great ambiance in the restaurant - nice lighting, clean and neat appearance, nice decor, and the smells were amazing. Unfortunately, our table wasn't available for about 10-15 minutes. Once seated our server came quickly and got our drink orders - unfortunately they were out of one of the local brewery beers I wanted to try, but I ordered a different local option. I really couldn't help but order the Rigatoni Bolognese - I love a good rigatoni and a good bolognese is awesome. My wife had a stuffed rigatoni dish. Overall, the food was pretty good, although my wife's dish was overly greasy, maybe too much olive oil. Once our order came, the server never really checked back with us for a long time, so that was a little disappointing, but overall it was a good experience, and I'd probably go back again. We didn't try any desserts, as we had something waiting back at the family's house. read more

Avicollis in Fayetteville has always been our go-to place. The atmosphere, staff and food are always wonderful. With it being Valentines Day today, we decided to place a to go order instead of dining in. When I got there, they could not find the order. The owner came right over and suggested we call another location to see if it was there. Long story short, it took almost 25 mins to figure out where the order had gone, track down the owner of that establishment and get my refund. Meanwhile, the restaurant is packed. The owner literally stopped everything to make sure he resolved an issue that frankly wasn't even his problem. He went above and beyond and for that I am super grateful. I enjoy writing reviews when service is great.I don't like writing negative reviews but sometimes it's necessary. I travel from Fl to Fayetteville, Ny about once a month and the proximity of Avicolli's makes it very tempting to go. When I first started traveling to the area, I was told to stay away from here because the kitchen was very dirty. I saw on yelp that since 2023 the health rating had improved quite a bit so I thought I would give it a shot. My hope with this review is the restaurant does something about it but when I was there, I noticed dirt and dust everywhere. The tables and bar top might've been cleaned off, but that was about it. Nothing behind the bar is cleaned nothing on top of the bar is dusted fans are running and blowing dirt around and it's so visible that the thought of ordering food turned my stomach. I have friends and family that want to go here, they enjoyed the food in the past. so again my hope is that the restaurant sees this review and does something to clean up. read more

Super cute restaurant in the heart of Fayetteville. The drink, food, and dessert menu all have so many choices!! I ordered a berry mule (not on the menu, had to ask) which was super tasty. My date and I split the lobster arancini to start which was so fresh and flavorful- we used the rest of generous serving of sauce to dip our complimentary bread in. We then split the chicken prosciutto and bolognese. The chicken prosciutto was perfectly cooked and reminded me of chicken cordon bleu. The bolognese was saucy and meaty, 8.5/10. My favorite part and the only part I remembered to take pictures of: Dessert. We split the red velvet tower and the peanut butter pie.. both to die for!! I had a business lunch and picked this place. We started with the arancini or rice balls. There were excellent. The sauce they served with it was average but the arancini were great. My coworker got one of their fancy burgers. He said and I quote "this is the best burger I have ever had". I had a mortadella sandwich with burrata. It was fantastic. My other co-worker had the cutlet sandwich with roasted peppers and he raved about it as well. I saw the pizza at another table and I wish I would have brought one home.
