We arrived in Florence and found this restaurant close to our hotel through Google. We didn't have reservations for our big group of 13 but luckily they were able to fit us in for dinner. We had to order their Florentine steak. It was a huge piece of T bone. I believe it was 1.2kg and cost us around €60. It was delicious but not the best Florentine steak we've had. We ordered a lot of other dishes too and everything was delicious. The service was good too. We had two waiters assigned to us since we were split into 3 tables. Both were great. read more

One of my favorite meal in Florence. The warm hospitality of the waitress, the romantic comfortable outdoor dining, and the delicious food was made the experience a 5 star. Once we ordered they immediately started us off with a complimentary Prosecco . Then we indulged into fresh pasta in which they kindly split it into two separate plate. Then we went for the florentine steak which was well seasoned and aged. To end the meal the homemade tiramisu was delicious. What caught us by surprise was the homemade limencello that they offered us at the end of the meal. What a wonderful dinner experience. read more

5/5 stelle October is one of my favorite months. the leaves slowly fall and the stars twinkle a little bit brighter. This was one of my favorite meals I've had in Florence so far. first off, we got the salmon fennel salad to share. the salmon was smoked which we were expecting. It coated a small bed of lettuce and danced in between the thinly shaved fennel. This salad smelled so fresh - you almost got slapped in the face with the smell of lemon. for my pasta, I yet again got tempted by a truffle- like gnocchi..... their truffle pumpkin gnocchi.... you know how people use the term pumpkin as a nickname for endearment? every time I say pumpkin read it like you would say it. the gnocchi was perfect - not too big not too small - and had this playdough salty like flavor and texture that is my favorite (not an overpowering potato taste) and was soaking in a sauce of a divine union of pumpkin and black truffle oil. I've never had that much truffle oil in my life but damn it was good. im a sucker for truffle and for pumpkin during this beautiful month of October. read more

I ate here with my host family when I studied abroad in Florence 3 years ago. It was so good I knew I had to come back, and I brought my boyfriend with me. This is a perfect, quiet and intimate setting! You are welcomed with a glass of Prosecco. I believe everything is made in-house; very authentic. The people who work here are so generous and make you feel really comfortable. I highly recommend the beef tartare with burrata cheese and truffle, it is probably my favorite dish ever! Don't forget to take a dessert, some nights they'll have cheesecake fresh out of the oven and they usually will give you some limoncello after :) read more

Cute little place a short walk from our hotel. The kids sat this one out but we saw Italian children enjoying their meals. We ordered the zucchini flan, pan fried mussels, salmon risotto, and gnocchi with truffles. Everything was outstanding. The A/C was a welcome respite from the oppressive heat wave. read more

Nice restaurant in a more quiet part of Florence which is very nice! The atmosphere was relaxing and somewhat intimate. We came on a weeknight and had their menu seems like it changes daily. They started us with a small glass of prosseco on the house. I ordered the florentine beef stew and my husband ordered the pici pasta flavored with duck and porcini mushrooms. This is some of the best food, and most incredible service we've had anywhere in Italy. The fried zucchini flowers are some of the BEST things I have ever put into my mouth!!! Best food and wine on our Italian vacation. Ravioli and pasta were incredible, all homeade. Order the octopus and cheese/meat platter, as the quality of the seafood and meat and amazing. The steaks? Better in flavor and texture than any steak in any country that we have been. Tender and seasoned perfectly. The bread? Even that had a phenomenal taste. Do not pass this gem up. A good trattoria! I had two meals here, one only with a friend and one with a big group for a birthday and this place is suited for both occasions! The first time, i was outside on the nice terrace which is located on a quiet street so it was quite peaceful. For once i had fish! And it was perfectly cooked with good olive oil. For dessert, the chocolate cake was perfect too. The second time was with a group and the restaurant was very welcoming and arranged a nice meal for us despite the fact that we were many. This time i had pasta (truffle) and i liked a lot. All my friends liked their dishes, also the italian liked it. In brief, a nice trattoria without surprise! (You can also have meat, even bistecca). We went to this place on the recommendation of the place where we are staying. The food was awesome! We ordered zuppa di pesce, ribolitta, gnocchi w truffles, and suckling pig with potatoes. This place was highly recommended by our apartment host. We came on our first night in Florence and came back every night since. The food is amazing for reasonable low prices. They start you off with an aperativo glass of prosecco and have bread ready at the table. The menu changes daily based on fresh ingredients. Portions are large and satisfying. Marco and Juliano are friendly servers that made our experience much better. We recommend getting their grilled steak which resembles a t-bone typical of Florence food. It is grilled to medium rare and very tender and flavorful. We always order a mixed salad and their potatoes are amazing either as fries or oven baked. I ordered beef tenderloin (filet mignon) as well and it was the best I've had, even better than fancy steak houses and only 15€. Came with a supple red wine reduction sauce, wow. After main courses, get the creme caramel which is similar to a more flavorful flan. They finish off the night with limoncello which is also included in the coperto. Overall an amazing time and kept thinking about this restaurant and comparing everything from the rest of our Italy trip to them. read more

My husband and I went here on the recommendation of our Florentine hostess. The food was wonderful and the service very friendly. The menu is also in English and when we arrived they brought us a little glass of prosecco. Dinner was excellent and the prices are very good also. The artichoke salad was my favorite preparation of the several we had during our week in town. The fresh pasta was excellent. A member of our party reported he and his wife had done a spreadsheet comparing panna cotta around town and this place came out on top - and for good reason; we agreed it was the best we had all week. The Chef is Really Really GOOD! We ate there both night we were in Firenze. The traditional steak is average. The steak that you pay for by the HG is phenomenal! Chicken with Truffle is great. We went to Cesarino on the recommendation of our B&B host in Florence. This may have been our best meal yet in Italy. English-friendly, cozy, real. This is not a tourist restaurant but a great place in a real Florence neighborhood away from the crowds. Complimentary prosecco opened our meal, and equally complimentary limoncello closed a perfect night out.. Need I say more? Yes, I do! The Tuscan ham with Buratta and fried dough (coccoli) was wonderful, fresh, a perfect antipasto. The gnocchi with pesto, tomato and buratta was a dish that you could eat all night. But there was steak. Florentine style. Sliced, salted, drenched in olive oil, beautifully rare, nicely grilled. Order a side mixed salad. Finally, dulce. Tiramisu. A little cliche? Yes. But you know you want it. Oh yes, you do! Perfectly executed. Not too runny, not too dry. Just right. Great house red (or white) at 8 euros rounded out our best meal yet.
