Ok, updating my review since a return visit a few nights later was a less than stellar experience on a Monday night, the day after they had been closed on Sunday! Our previous visit was Sat. I'd say between the two visits, the food here could be somewhat inconsistent. We ordered the gnocchi again the second night and the sauce looked completely different, was flavorless and the gnocchi had no consistency whatsoever. It was way too mushy, like eating globs of paste. My squid ink pasta however was fine. Looking at the tables next to use, the wild boar pasta was the same - the sauce looked completely different that the previous night's. Service too from the Asian server was also not as warm and friendly...and btw, the bread is not good here, but the tiramisu is wonderful. Previous: This place is truly, truly a hidden gem. Off the beaten path, cozy and charming all the same. I was looking for a no fuss restaurant specifically for pasta that didn't feel so annoyingly overrun by tourists near the Duomo. The menu is pretty simple and the pasta dishes that we ordered were deee-vine. Yes, the gnocchi is that good, light and pillowy with a flavorful meat sauce. The squid ink pasta was lovely- so flavorful, yet no one flavor too overpowering, with just a sweet and savory taste of the sea with the squid ink. We also tried the tagliatelle with boar sauce, and the meat was super tender. What a gem! We plan to come back again during our visit, so glad to have tried this place. We started walking down the street outside of our hotel and we stumbled across this place. We were lucky enough to get a table at 9:00 p.m. and I'm so happy that we did. Everything was delicious! Two of us shared bruschetta for antipasti, and then we each had a primi, me the nudie and my wife the porcini mushroom pasta, both of which were delicious, but the pasta was outstanding. We shared a beef dish for segundi along with a lovely bottle of wine. We finished dinner with chocolate cake and two after dinner drinks, All of which cost about 85 euros. read more

Best cheesecake ever. More like cheese mousse. Gnocchi and pasta were great. We liked but did not love the cheese and vegetables but that may just be our opinion. Service was great. Ambience felt authentic and family-owned and not touristy. From our 10 year old son: I don't usually like cheese cake,but this was incredible. It was super fluffy and delicious. This place doesn't look like much from the outside and the menu is Italian only, so you know it's not made for tourists. I came here based on another reviewer that said it was the best gnocchi ever, and they were right!! It was little pillows of fluffiness. This is my favorite little trattoria in Florence, It's nothing fancy but if you love gnocchi you will not be disappointed. That's my test dish. If the gnocchi is good, then I might find other things on the menu that are great too. But I usually don't eat anything else because when I return before I leave Florence I order the gnocchi again. I also like the atmosphere. It's off the beaten path so you more than likely will find only Italians here and probably locals who work in the neighborhood. It will alway be the first place I go to eat when I am in Florence. read more

I love gnocchi, and this is the best gnocchi I have ever had in my life! Turns out they make it fresh daily, because when I went back for lunch the next day (yeah, that good) they hadn't made it yet :( The server was so kind and suggested an alternate dish that was her favorite to eat as a child. I didn't like it as much, but I thought that was pretty cool of her to recommend that. We got so lucky finding this restaurant -- it was only about a block away from our AirBnB. I heard other diners speaking Italian, which signaled to me that it wasn't another restaurant Americanizing it's food and catering to tourists. There are so many of those in Florence. This place is so special. One of my favorite and most memorable meals in Italy. The staff were very friendly, even though our Italian was extremely limited, but we tried. The house wine was cheap and delicious! We didn't get dessert either meal, but it looked so tempting. This place is a must go to the next time I am in Florence. read more

Three of us had: tomato bruschetta, Sarde Fritte, Risotto funghi, Ravioli stuffed with ricotta and spinach, spaghetti and calamari with squid ink, Tiramisu (shared) and a liter of house red, all for 68.50 euro. I would give this place 3.5 stars if I could. This quaint, low-key neighborhood trattoria was literally right next door to the airbnb my partner and I stayed for two nights in Florence. It is away from the major touristy street and most people dining when we went were speaking Italian. We went with the lunch set of the day, which was presented in a paper menu with handwritten letters. I'm assuming this menu changes on the daily basis. For 12 euro, it included first, second, and side dish plus house wine and bottled water. I had spaghetti with chicory and sausage for first, rabbit in a tomato based sauce for second, and grilled red peppers for side. My partner had spaghetti with leeks and pancetta, grilled turkey, and french fries. Both spaghetti dishes were amazing --- full of flavors, fresh, perfectly seasoned. I loved the grilled pepper side dish generously drenched with delicious olive oil. French fries were fine, nothing out of the world. Now, both meat dishes for second course were OK at best. Rabbit was quiet bony and turkey was rather dry even when we squeezed a lot of lemon juice on it. With all of this said, for 12 euro per person, this was a good value for what it was and a small, local hidden gem vibe plus friendly service was enjoyable. read more

My girlfriend and I were in Italy for 7 days. We went to Trattoria Accadi on the fourth night and already knew that it was going to be the best meal we had over the entire trip. Run by a husband and wife, it is a small and cozy restaurant that is away from all the typical touristy spots. We decided to eat here after reading the menu and being told by a few passing tourists that they had eaten there for the past 3 nights since it was so good. They were 100% right! The owner, Stefano, clearly loves what he does and is very enthusiastic. He helped us find a nice bottle of white wine and went over all the specials they had. Then he showed us the fresh mushrooms that were picked to incorporate with any dish if we wanted. We split the toasted bread sampler as a starter and it was awesome. I could have just had the bruschetta as my entire course and been satisfied. We both decided to add the mushrooms to our main courses since Stefano seemed so excited about them! I had the pasta with a mushroom sauce and my girlfriend had the risotto with mushrooms. AMAZING. Good portion size and delicious. The best pasta I had all trip by far. We also each had a side salad that was simple, but incredibly fresh tasting. Even after all that food we decided to make room for dessert. Everything was homemade, and we settled on a slice of the chocolate cake for her and the cheesecake with strawberry sauce for myself. The chocolate cake was very moist and rich while the cheesecake was unlike any other I had had before. It was way lighter than I expected, but still delectable. I can't speak well enough of this place. I use Yelp to find restaurants occasionally, but was compelled to add this business and write my first review all because of this experience. I highly urge anyone who's in Florence to make the time to come to this place. It is well worth it and you won't regret it! read more

We really enjoyed the vegetable appetizer because there were so many things to try on the platter. Also, their squid ink pasta was some of the best I ate in Italy. The gnocchi were really well made, probably my favorite on our trip. The atmosphere was really great, the wine was cheap but really good, and I really enjoyed dinner here. The best meal I had in Florence! The service was fantastic. When the server noticed me struggling to understand the menu, he stopped and took the time to translate most of the menu. Seemed like legit Tuscan food to this slightly-educated tourist. The bread was made without salt, in traditional Tuscan fashion. This was the first dinner in a week where we didn't order pasta: pappa al pomodoro (bread and tomato "soup"/mash) and cannellini beans for me, gnudi with spinach and sage for my travel partner. Our Bed and Breakfast host suggested we come here for dinner because it is supposed to be one of the last, true Florentine trattorias that don't cater especially to tourists. What a treat it was! The staff was friendly and attentive to us and explained the menu thoroughly. The best part was the tiramisu, oh my goodness! Creamy and light and perfection! At the end of the meal, our server told us that most of the dishes are his grandmothers recipes - so that should be enough to sway you! Bit of a language barrier when ordering, but the waitress took the time to translate for us. Ordered the Cod and Bistecca Ella Fiorentina (as recommended by our tour guide from earlier that afternoon!). Service was a bit slow, but the food definitely made up for it! Medium rare steak was a little over-seasoned on some parts, but the texture with olive oil was amazing! Cod was as it should be, though a bit moist(?). Excellent food. We were looking for traditional cuisine and we found it. It's a small thing but they had their Italian menu translated into English, as opposed to having an fixed English menu that didn't change with the specials. The waiter spoke excellent English. We had fried fresh porcini mushrooms. They were excellent, first time having them prepared this way. The Florentine steak was excellent. I've had a lot of steaks in my day but this was special. It was recommended raw inside which I do not typically prefer but this worked very well. The Florentine style tripe with cannelloni beans was tasty and very tender. The Florentine beef stew was good but nothing unlike what we've had before for a wine based stew. We had a calamari dish cooked we a green leafy vegetable. Novel combination for us. Very good. The kids had a wide noodle pasta with a meat Ragu. It must have been good because it didn't last long. We had the sliced beef with arugula and cheese. Also very good. Wonderful food at great prices and within walking distance of the duomo. I got the homemade gnocchi and the Tuscan steak. The gnocchi was amazing and one of the best pasta dishes I had in Italy. As soon as we sat down in this cozy restaurant with a family run feel, and hand written menus were placed before us, we knew we had found the NON tourist trap we were seeking! It was our first night in Florence, as well, and a delicious and economical cap to a long day of travel and time adjustment! They cooked a mouth watering pasta Fagiola dish that was not on the menu for me and my wife loved her ravioli with spinach in a light cream sauce. We also shared an arugula with Parmesan salad before and tiramisu afterwards- both of which were simply delicious. Service and staff delightful. Going back before the week is out for sure! read more
