    Finochietta

Amazing. This is becoming a staple of our Florence trips and it would be hard to pass up on future visits, especially since the menu is constantly changing. This visit, we got their salumi del giorno (an incredible homemade finochietta that we both agreed was one of the best things we ate on our trip), ribollita (one of the best versions I've had), minestrone (my wife was obsessed), lasagna (excellent but behind I Sodi's in NYC), meatballs (some of the best anywhere), chickpea panisse (we'd skip next time), and two desserts (chocolate cake, which is an automatic re-order, and cheesecake, which was great except that we weren't huge fans of the orange marmalade on top). They also made an amazing fusilli pomodoro for our kids, and were just generally amazing towards them. It's amazing to me that this place isn't more mobbed, given how great it is and how many tv shows the old man has been on, but no complaints -- we love it and we'll be back.

One of the best meals we had in Italy. The food here is to die for. Fabio Picchi is a famous chef in Italy. He's very interactive with his customers or as he calls it his guests. We had a great time and experience in this cute charming restaurant. Everything we ate was phenomenal. Will be back when in Florence.

Buonissimo! Cibrèino has been around for decades, loved by locals, it serves fresh local dishes with many out of the menu options depending on the day, a must try when in Firenze.

This place offered the ambience of an authentic Florentine trattoria, which sits alongside its more formal dining establishment, the Ristorante. I feel like this was our best experience getting away from the other tourists and having to wing it as strangers in a foreign, but welcoming small venue. As a group of 9 Americanos, we squeezed in and did our best to fit in (and decipher the menu). Our waiter was extremely patient and helpful, our food was good, and the place settled into local, pub-like banter that was comforting and fun.

This is a local Trattoria near Piazza Sant 'Ambrogio that has been here since 1979. They offer a smaller menu from the Ristorante next door. They also have a Caffe place across the street open 7 days/week and a newer place, Cibleo with Korean, Japanese,Korean influences paired with Tuscan foods. I started with a classic Negroni. I had the Burrata with plump tomatoes & olive oil to start. Very good. I then had the porcini soup. Not overpowering like some mushroom soups. For my main course, I had the Beef cheeks stewed for 4 hours with Tuscan white beans. Very tender beef in a dark sauce. The beans were a good counterpoint. I paired it with a glass of the 2018 Felix Tenuta Montaini. An excellent red wine. For dessert, I had the Panna Cotta with Caffe Correto (with Sambuca). A nice meal. *Note: small dogs are allowed inside the trattoria*. They have 3 tables outside with plastic sheeting & thermal heaters. I got a glass of grappa, Poli Sarpa Oro. A nice golden colored digestif. A nice finish to a great meal.

The couple next to us had gone to all 4 Cibreo restaurants (including the theater) and loved all of them - so we knew figured this would be good. Atmosphere: Put on a scarf and go for the outdoor seating, interior decor is kinda unsexy - the panhandling accordion players can be annoying but do provide some atmosphere. Service: Excellent from the ones who spoke English, kind of chaotic from the ones who didn't. The menu is Italian only but they translate for you in more detail than you'll ever need. Food: - Almond and duck pate - Duck wins, but both tasty - Ricotta and potato cake - Smooth and creamy - Chicken meat balls - OK, not amazing - Flourless chocolate cake - Dense and delicious - Raspberry cheesecake - Solid For sliced desserts, they will split half portions if you order 2 as we did, so fewer calories and more tasting!

    Artichoke and egg yolk!

Stopped for wine during our day of wandering and a first course, main course, and a coffee later, we rolled ourselves out. Everything was delicious. We let the owner choose everything for us and weren't disappointed. My main course was the artichoke stuffed with egg yolk on a bed of delicious mashed potato. When it arrived the waiter delicately sliced it open from the stem down and with this the yolk was broken and spilled over the mash potato. My partner had the liver pate in a sea of some of the most amazing béchamel sauce ever, served with a side of mash. The roast beef at the table beside us looked like no roast beef I've ever seen but I wish I'd had room to try it, it looked spectacular.

We only stayed in Florence for 2 nights and we loved this Trattoria so much that we ate dinner there both nights. The service is excellent and the food is phenomenal! We had the stuffed rabbit, the cuttle fish in red wine, the veal stew, the chicken liver pate, the chicken and riccotta meatballs and for dessert the flourless chocolate cake (which was so light and perfect balance of sweetness!), the vanilla creme and the vanilla torte --- all highly recommended! Thanks so much Cibreo! Until next time!

Not going to lie, I was a little bit worried about Mister Pizza being a tourist trap since it was right by the Duomo in Santa Maria Novella Piazza. I even noticed on the menu that they catered to specific dietary preferences such as gluten-free crust and dairy-free cheese. But hey, this was one of the few places I have seen that made a lot of accommodations. We arrived around 8:30pm on a Monday night. The place was busy, but it appeared that people hanging around the entry way were really there for to-go orders. We were able to sit outside with views of the Duomo. Service was fine. Servers were quick and attentive, but the food took a while to come out. That said, the deliciousness of my pizza made up for it. I ordered the quattro formagi and requested it to come with marinara instead of white sauce. I was asked if I wanted burrata, but I didn't realize that it was an upsell. I thought it was going to be in place of the mozzarella, so I technically had 5 kinds of cheeses. My husband and I loved our respective pizzas. I especially enjoyed the bursts of gorgonzola and parmesan that added bursts of unique flavor. The fresh creaminess of the burrata made for a nice pairing with the edge of the crust. Speaking of the crust, it was doughy and fluffy with air pockets. One of the best crusts on a pizza.

They cut the pies with scissors and you can drizzle chili oil on your pie to taste. It's right next to 'Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore' so many tourists frequent this location, but it's worth it.

Like many other reviewers have already noted, the service, experience, be food were all spectacular! We tried making a reservation online, but didn't hear a response for a few hours and decided to walk in at 6 pm since we were already hungry. We figured no one eats this early in Italy so it must be empty! We were correct. The place is small so if possible, make a reservation in advance if you are trying to eat at 8 pm like the rest of the locals. We ordered the 2 person steak for 75€ (it comes with 2 sides). The more expensive option has meat, which is apparently more tasty, but I neither my bfs are fans of fatty meat. We got the steak in medium rare, the server suggests that it is usually cooked rare, but can be done medium rare. It should not be cooked more than that. However, after it comes out, if you are still not satisfied, they can cook it some more for you. The meal also came with complimentary bread (not shown), and an appetizer (meat sauce with bread- sooo delicious!). The steak itself was sooo mouthwatering. Very much worth 75€! The plate is edible, but I didn't eat it sooner I was already stuffed from dinner! We also received complimentary dessert (the cup the dessert sits in is biodegradable! What a plus. No plastic waste). Sooo nice of the staff/restaurant to make the experience very memorable! Our waitress was very kind and came to check on us often.
