Kane'ohe/Aikahi branch is usually better but it's a long drive. Overall, been a member of NFCU for over 50 years and the NFCU has only helped me once. The rest of the time I keep a small balance and use it for ATM withdrawals for my own convenience because they claim to be the world's largest credit union and have branches all over. Don't rely on NFCU for car loans, mortgages, HELOCs, and other loan instruments. Try another credit union, an online loan merchant, or even a bank and you may get better terms and service.

At the same time, we also noticed that CXI Pearlridge Center had moved from its Wai Makai (formerly Downtown) kiosk to a more secure brick-and-mortar storefront at Uptown (formerly Mauka), Level 1, in between JHL Jewelry and Macy's, near Pieology. After we placed our order, we were notified within 2 days to pick it up. We were instructed to bring our passports, SSN, and government-issued ID, and, if we wanted, we could complete our purchase using a debit card, a personal check, or cash to avoid the 3% additional credit card transaction fee. Also, because we weren't exceeding $2,999.99 USD, we weren't concerned with CXI's maximum credit card purchase policy. The cashier was as friendly and professional as we remembered, and we also congratulated her on having a newer, more secure location for her business. "Money exchange" will not register with a person who does not exchange currency on a frequent basis. I have been to this location before to pick up euro and had no problem with another male worker.
