10 First off, the whole staff and everyone at Travers St. Lous RV was extremely helpful and easy to talk with. A few people that I worked directly with made it a fantastic experience buying my first travel trailer. Our sales woman was Ciarra Bilyeu, I have been around salesmen my whole life, she is great at keeping in contact letting me know what type of inventory they had coming in and any time a new or used toy hauler came in that was close to what I was looking for, she would let me know. while walking the lot she answered all our questions and if she didn't know the answer off hand, she would make a call and find out. She is Amazing! her patient's level with all my questions and hopping around back and forth to campers that were on opposite sides of the lot. she made sure the things I wanted done got taken care of before I showed up for my walkthrough. please ask for Ciarra if you are in the market for a new or used RV (Also, please do not expect a salesperson to know every single detail about every camper or vehicle on the lot. it is impossible for that to happen. if they have to make a call or get back with you while they check. that is normal.) After you pick out the RV the part where you pay for it comes next. that is never fun, but Scott Collins made it pretty painless, he explained all the options available to us. answered all the questions with ease and was just a great guy to talk to. He has been a great help even after the purchase with questions I forgot to ask. Now to the walkthrough, I had to cancel my morning appointment do to work but with the weather I was able to get off early and they fit me in and stayed late so I could do a thorough examination of the camper. My expert that gave the walkthrough was Peter, he went over everything multiple times and let me film the process, so I could go back and look later. I am sure he is used to plenty of newbie questions, but he did not hesitate to answer them multiple times and had a smile the whole time! he is extremely knowledgeable about the RV systems. also while we were hooking up to my truck, James came out and assisted with the process and also gave me a few tips and tricks about the camper. Speaking of the walkthrough, do some research and get a list of things that you want to make sure you check and go over. I have heard that some places try to rush you out so you can't spot any manufacturer error that they would have to cover. I had my list and we hit everything on it with out me having to point it out! (The only thing we didn't cover, was the thing I didn't add to the physical list, thinking I would remember to check it ‍) Last, but not least is parts department. Mike Crump did fantastic job explaining what all the accessories I had on my list did, so I could make a decision on what to get. He explained the difference in brands and what I needed to have vs a luxury item. So I focused more money to items that get me up and going faster. Other items can be added later down the road. While all this was going on, he was staying after hours to make sure I had everything I needed. He could have closed up and said come back during hours, but he made sure I was all set and worked a deal on a particular item, it was a fantastic experience! After all that and I have now brought the camper home and had some time messing around with it, a few more questions came about and a simple email to any of the above mentioned people and I had my answer extremely quickly. A great selling point for me, was the 2 locations, the sister company in Eureka is a closer location, anything I may need done or parts, I can get on my way home from work! Run, just RUN!!! We bought our RV at STLRV . It currently has warranty work needing done. We were prepared to drive it back to Elkhart Indiana to get the work done at the manufacturers as apposed to letting stlrv do it. Everything they touched they broke. Cut out the ground wire in the pin box working on an indicator issue that ended up melting our breakaway switch. Installed an EMS but didnt bolt it down or tighten ANY of the wires. Hey, they even installed a new washer/dryer and smashed the side of the dryer putting it in. Know what they did about that? They put caulk over the smash to hide it. They also broke the knobs on it and tried to hide the fact. Great guys those. The saddest part of all that was a statement the PDI tech said AFTER he had done this damage and tried to hide it from us. His words: "I prayed that you would love your new RV" ?!?. Our RV was promoted with the largest TV for an RV at 58 inches. It didnt work during the PDI so they replaced it with a 55 inch TV and told us it was a 58 inch. The drip tray they installed for the washer only had 3 sides making it a run off tray. The plate that goes between the washer and dryer was put on backwards. The metal plate that was supposed to be on the back was now on the front so when they dropped the dryer on top it smashed the buttons. So what did the tech do? Got a grinder out and put the grinder to it. Awesome. Not!. The one leak the PDI tech said he fixed he didnt but he did create another one when he installed the washer. The 6 inches of tape he used to hold the dryer vent on fell off the very first use, took a while to figure out why the humidity in the RV was so high when using the dryer. Emailed the general manager about our issues, guess what he said? Well, I'm not too sure what he said because he has ignored my multiple emails. This is just some of the issue we have experienced. We have bought 4 RVs locally over a 30 year period and never have we experienced anything like what we have with stlrv and the travers group. Use these *@$#$ at your own risk. read more

Wow great reviews . I responded to a facebook ad about a Tiffin motorhome dealt with BOB.He finally did and sent me a crappy video . This was sunday he said i was the first response. Too busy watching football game to deal with me . He sent me a crappy video that did not show anything . He said he would walk thru the unit first thing monday.Then we talked he said he could not get slides out or in whatever stupid excuse and the battery was dead. I texted him several more times and he said it was too cold and he would do it and call me in the AM . No call so i texted only to have him several hours later to tell me it was sold. After getting nowhere with him i called and talked to another salesman there who said he would have Bobs boss call me back . Never happened and i started calling on my own. Each one told me something different about the whole ordeal . Finally BOB called me back what a pompous ass. He said he was too busy selling another home to deal with my request and that is how i was unable to buy the motorhome. He told me to look up his family in ST. Louis and i wouldn' t be talking to him how i was . He is a pathetic bald headed little geek and should not be a salesman. My wife & I were looking to possibly upgrade our 5th wheel travel trailer & dually truck to a new diesel motorhome & found St.Louis RV online & nearby. So, we stopped by. First thing that got our attention was that all the units were opened & available for immediate walk through. Unlike other dealershipsn(Camping World) that require a pushy salesperson for your guided tour. We were greeted by Hal who was very knowledgable & seemed genuinely focused on our wants & committed to satisfying our needs. After viewing a few 2015 & 2016 models, Hal showed us a few late model preowned motorhomes. And, to our dismay we found a late model, low mileage & spotless unit that suited all of our needs. With the price being a fraction of new, we decided that if we could get a fair trade value on our truck & trailer that we'd move forward with the transaction. Low & behold, after just a short time manager Bill Cooley was able to get us to a difference that was more than fair. We are happy campers! My wife and I recently purchased a 5th wheel RV from St. Louis RV. We did our homework and shopped around a LOT before purchasing it, but we were most pleased with the one we found at St. Louis RV. An important part of our decision was also based on the courteous and knowledgable salesman Steve, and Scott in finance - we were not feel pressured to buy compulsively and there were no "hidden" fees and other tacked-on charges like some other dealers we encountered; they worked with us to reach a deal that was very satisfactory. Also, the service staff was very accommodating during our walk-thru when we picked-up our RV and answered all our questions. They even provided good advise about operating and adjusting the 5th wheel hitch configuration, something they were not obligated to do. We would definately recommend St. Louis RV to our family and friends. Some reviews of St. Louis RV have not been very positive, but based on our experience, we anticipate the same friendly and professional service if/when our RV needs maintenance or repair. read more

Me and my husband have been looking for a while at a small motorhome like a class C or A, we came and looked at one but it wasn't our cup of tea so we told our sales girl ciarra if anything else comes in let us know. we had a collision 4/1 was told buy the body shop it was fixable, insurance payment was made to Travers Body Shop of 15,000$, to buy parts and pay towing 10 weeks later, Rv was totaled, at that point Travers KEPT THE PARTS THAT WERE ORDERED AND THE $7,000 THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RETURNED TO US SINCE THEY DID NOT USE THOSE PARTS on my RVthey kept the money to use Travers EVEN FUDGED ON THE TOWING BILL TO MAKE IT HIGHER THAN ORIGINALLY CHARGED.... I have been told that this is common practice for Travers to keep the INSURANCE MONEY !!!! Pretty much consider this double dipping, and unethical business practice. BEWARE!!!!!!!! read more
