So when I showed up today as it was on my calendar I was informed that I didn't have an appt. Took time to rearrange my day for this appointment. Walked out seething . Called asked for office manager who did call me back who tried to explain and twist it like I canceled my appointment... didn't feel like I was given a true apology. This wasn't my 1st time with appointment issues. I suppose when your business is so large and have numerous locations and long waits for appointments that quality of customer service goes down the drain. Customer loyalty too isn't important either. Well I won't be recommending you anymore in the future if anyone asks me for a dental group. You can say what you want but trying to be a spin doctor and lay blame on the customer when your staff assumes to cancel future standing appointments without asking and confirming is INEXCUSABLE!!!

First time writing a review on any business, but I felt I had to warn people about this place…read more I had to move from another dentist due to them going out of network when a crown came off, nothing particularly bad about that visit, apart from general "sales" feel. Unfortunate thing is that they found something that required attention, but didn't want to refer me to anyone, I had to come back 2 weeks later. When I come back for that, they want do do a comprehensive exam before talking to me, even after I told them I saw my dentist less than 4 months prior. After I rejected that request and asked for the referral I was here about, it took the dentist over 30 minutes to get me that referral, having me sit in the chair the entire time. They referred me to an oral surgeon, causing 2 weeks delay in my care because they wanted to sell me the extra "exam". They did not send the 3d imaging to that doctor, non of the x-rays they took. When the oral surgeon asked where I had been referred from without having those things passed along, he immediately recognized the office as one that has a bad reputation and had a few choice words for them. I hope this review helps people pick a good dentistry in the area. I would give them negative stars for delaying my care, but not available.

I was feeling nervous about my small town dentist switching and the changes that can come with a corporate office. However, some of my favorites (these women have watched me grow up) stayed with this new management - so I thought I would give it a shot. So December 2019 I go in for my 6 month cleaning and have to sign all this new paperwork and meet a couple of the new people. Cleaning goes well and I discuss some of their insurance options and pricing. I was pleasantly surprised to see more affordable pricing L. Visit goes well and I make the obligatory promise that I will have my husband eventually make an appointment. July 2020 my husband FINALLY makes an appointment - thus proving that he does exist and also to take care of his teeth. His appointment goes well and they have him on a catch up plan to get his mouth right (this man hasn't been in years). 20/10 customer service because not even a week after his appointment we received a handwritten wedding card. They were congratulating us on our recent wedding and saying how nice it was to finally meet him . If you live in Fluvanna and want an affordable dentist who makes you feel like a part of the family then look no further! Highly recommend.

All was well, even saw the transition of the main dentist son come aboard and being a father myself was great to see this from a Legacy perspective. In the last few years the quality of the people in the front desk, main the office manager has not only shocked me, but sad to see. My situation was this: I am a business owner and travel more at certain times, I have conveyed this for years as a patient/client relationship kind of deal: wife and kids visit this office, oh and also in-laws (they have recommended me to this office) so has been maybe even 20 years of family going to this office I would think, back to the issue: I go to an appointment and while sitting there was told hey, can we reschedule you for another date, I am a make lemonade out of lemons kind of person, so ok no problem, now have I missed some appointments due to travel time, yes, but would pay the $50 on top of co-pays. One day in speaking with the office manager she with a nasty energy said I can't make any appointments for you, I asked why and she stated that John does not want you as a patient, I was shocked and dis-belief, due to the relationship for years, it's not that dentist can turn anybody away, but for me whatever the reason was for was never discussed as hey, you missed 2 appointments and these are our rules, was a bit disappointed to see a business office handle this situation that way. While Airr BB'ing in their neighborhood a year or so ago I came across the JK DDS office in a lovely house converted to dentist office on the corner and needed a 'clean and check' so thought why not give them a try. Fast forward to yesterday I had a small pain, (popcorn kernel emergency : ) I wanted them to look at and they immediately worked me in first thing in the morning and quickly took care of the issue. I'd like to give them a proverbial 'shout out' for a friendly warm genuinely kind and compassionate staff ~ from the front desk to the hygienist to the Dr to check out ~ this is a First class operation. 2 thumbs up 5 stars! If you're ISO of a lovely comfortable place to take care of your family dental needs this is it. Scott
