Asked for a tequila soda, instead waited 10 minutes for a drink with 5 people in the entire place, got a dirty look, an attitude, and was handed a cup of sprite from the blonde bartender inside instead of what I asked for. Which would be fine if the thing had tequila in it. If I wanted a flat watered down sprite I would've gone to 7/11 and got a big gulp for $1.99 instead of paying $10. I watched the bartender pour drinks and she would've been better off wafting her hand over the tequila bottle to get liquor in my cup. Would've gotten more alcohol drinking from the urinal. My friend and I went and were enjoying ourselves w the live music (Diamond Edge was great!) but apparently the security doesn't care about new customer's comfort. A fight broke out at least twice involving the same "regular" people... so why were any of them even allowed back in?! We were told that "they were regulars and it's a usual thing and trying to keep them off the street"... I'm sorry, but new customers or tourists are obviously going to be uncomfortable w that and them allowing unlawful behavior to take place in their establishment, especially during this time. She wouldn't even make eye contact with me. Haven't experienced anything like this in NY, Miami or Vegas, much less Port Aransas. Actually a really great option in Port A for live music and cocktails. The back porch is where the magic happens when the band gets going. There's a dance floor and outdoor bar, lots of tables, and plenty of room to hang out. The inside is CLEAN and has seating too. Great place to go after dinner. But, we did liked the fact they have two sections, outside they were playing country music and classic rock ( worked for us since we are in our mid 30's and NOT into clubs), and inside had a more clubby vibe, with a dark lights and dance floor. We visited this bar on a Friday night and it was a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be. They have a full outdoor bar and patio to drink and listen to live music. They have indoor bar with high tops and full bar great spot to drink with friends. They also have a club that opens at 10pm with great dancing room and 2 bars! There seating for large and small parties! I would definitely come back next beach trip! read more

Got there early and grabbed a booth in the dance club part called Pleasure. Watched a bachelorette party getting wild. Ok, so we there on opening day and they were just getting started. Love the decor - stained shiplap lots of concrete - industrial lighting. Music was wrong and way too loud for a Saturday afternoon. Not sure what demographic they are shooting for but it definitely was not the middle age - retirees drinking wine that were actually there. We are just glad its finally open. We went to see Cruise Control on May 1, 2021. The venue is nice. DON'T START AT TAB!!!! If you choose to start a tab then monitor it very closely! My husband and I had 2 drinks and when he cashed out he just put the receipt in his wallet. When I checked the credit card entry it was for 110$. When I looked at the receipt he was given it was not for our drinks and was someone elses card. When contacting the business she produced the ticket and said she remembered my husband saying what a great time we were having and showed me the receipt where there were doodles on it. She basically called me a liar as I tried to get some help with this issue. She also told me that 110.00 was not enough money for her to look through video to see who my husband was. I WARN you to be careful with your card!!!!!! read more

Had a great weekend and one of the best places we visited was Treasure Island. Great drinks...not watered down, atmosphere was perfect & the staff was fabulous ... really courteous and quick! In the back is a great place to listen to live music, dance and just hang out. Haven't found a place like this is a really long time in Port A or even my home in San Antonio. Can't wait to go back! The bouncer was a body shamer, letting our friend in only after telling her she gained weight. The rude bouncer told our friend she was fat and then wouldn't apologize when we asked for an apology. Do not go to this place, the staff is awful and absolutely rude, they let us in and then body shamed and judged based off of looks. The establishment itself is nice, much larger than it looks but the drinks are WAY too expensive compared to other places on the island. We met some friends there last year and it was $20 for a bourbon/club soda and a beer. Thought it was a mistake but paid it and left. Tried again this year and for 2 bourbon/club soda it was $24 without tip. $12 a drink is ridiculous. No wonder there is hardly anyone ever there. An island this small with so many bars--hard to get away with that for long. We won't be going back. There are too many other fun places with much more reasonable prices. read more

Each time we came to ask for a drink the blonde with tatts looked annoyed as can be as well as the brunette. Never felt welcomed. We still tipped but based on service. I've been to Treasure Island a few times and while it's a beautiful bar inside and out, I just don't care for the atmosphere. The feel is "airport bar" to me, very impersonal, cold, and unwelcoming. Nobody was rude, but nobody was nice. I haven't gotten a feel for what the hours will be during peak season, but so far, they definitely don't cater to locals or service industry types, as they aren't open during the week or during the day. Treasure Island offers a very nice tap beer selection and have many shots listed on the board. They are one of the few non-smoking bars on the island which seems odd since they are so open air, and when I've been, I've seen most folks out on the large back patio smoking cigarettes. read more

Don't waste your money. We had to pay a cover when we showed up, but that was expected. Unfortunately someone stole me wife's $200 sunglasses from the bar in front of us. We noticed it immediately and I asked the bar owner to check security cameras. He refused. Apparently he was too busy. 1 Star is too good for this place. If the owner wants it to stay open he should fire the staff and start over. Everyone we spoke to (security, bartender etc) was rude, it's like they didn't want to be there and neither did we. We were there for about 1 hour and that was too long. Definitely NOT your typical Port A bar. We were planning to bar crawl last Saturday night, and decided Treasure Island would be our first stop. We had never been before & just planned to have one drink and check the place out. We were pleasantly surprised to find a very clean and well put together establishment. The woodwork and decor would be right at home in a "big city" bar. The restrooms were large and spotless. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the bartenders were not very friendly. They weren't rude or slow, just kinda "there". They were the only thing that I would recommend tweaking. On the other hand, the porters, or bar backs were hustling. Every time I emptied a beer, one of these guys was right there to pick up the empty bottle & give the table a quick wipe! Try to find that anywhere else in Port A, or your favorite bar back home. read more
