ROACHES IN FOOD! I REPEAT ROACHES IN FOOD. Had lunch there today 11/06/18. Ordered Noodle Boat, first roach came crawling out of the napkin holder. I didn't make a big fuss told the waitress and she said "Oh sorry" n took the napkins away. I than look down to my soup which I had already started eating and Jesus help me I found that it was infested with lil tiny black roaches. Who knew Paramount was so multicultural?! I've always passed by but never made a point of checking it out til recently. When it comes to Thai, I'm a noodle guy. I had chicken and shrimp Pad Thai. It was pretty good! My only complaint: not enough shrimp. The portion was good for the price. I had their Thai tea to drink. I love Thai tea and it's hard to find a place with delicious Thai tea. On a scale of 1-10, I'd say it was a 7. Unfortunately, they don't offer boba. For those of you that enjoy it without ice, it'll cost you a bit more...LAME! Try the roti for dessert. The best way to describe it is a churro with a croissant-like outer layer. Simply put: A pretty decent hole-in-the-wall eatery with tasty Pad Thai and Thai tea. read more

The food is delicious.We really like the sweet roll with condense milk. At first the lady waitress is good at service. Second third and fourth time she's very cold and as if she not see us. Stopped in for the first time due to the fact that i wanted something different. So far i'm impressed. I decided to try the fried spare ribs. It was good but the portions for the $7.95 price tag seemed a bit small like a last reviewer said. Unfortunately they don't have a take home menu, so you're better off coming to the restaurant and taking your time to find out what you want. Not a place to go on a date, just a quick bite to eat and go home type of establishment. Food is made to order and not sitting under a heat lamp looking pretty and ish. If you are looking for larger portions, you're better off at Doublz for all my Paramount folks or hitting up a buffet near you. Always a delight. Padsee-ew is my fave along with thai tea! The staff is always very nice as well. You won't be dispointed. this family owned biz is so jammed packed with folks during lunch that you may want to wait til around 1 in the afternoon to go - unless u go around 11/11:30. Either way, if you call in your order like I do you simply swing through, pay, and get on. The teryaki checkin is very popular, and the Suwanna special is really good too - excelant flavors! Don't get a hankering on sunday for it though - as it is closed and you will be devistated until the next day when they re-open. A true hidden gem!!! Finally a great Thai place locally. So hard to find an authentic Thai restaurant near by. All dishes ordered were on point. I recommend their spicy basil and the spicy catfish dish. Seriously you can't go wrong with any dish here. This place has a casual family friendly feel. Service was great too! I never knew this place was like 2 blocks away so I've been driving to my go to place 25 minutes away!!! I feel so dumb! Their Pad Thai is my favorite but that's more cause this is my favorite dish. The yellow curry is fantastic and fried rice is amazing!!! We also like getting one of their soups...I can't think of the name right now but it's a sea food soup that is spiced just right! I've been there twice... first time I really enjoyed the Tom Yum Kung soup it was so delicious. I was there yesterday and couldn't wait to go and have some delicious Tom Yum Kung. Solid Thai food spot for sure. They make a mean Panang Beef that's plenty spicy. Had me sweating pretty good, and I'm kind of a chilihead. The service is okay, just okay, but not bad. The environment inside is kinda boring and even somewhat off-putting. There's no AC (at least when I went in) and the tables and chairs are somewhat utilitarian. The prices are pretty good though, and the Thai Iced Tea is BOMB! I'd say 4 stars for food, 3 stars for service and 2 stars for environment. read more

Read good comments on yelp before I proceeded to buy restaurant coupon. As expected the servers were nice and helpful over the phone and in person (I ordered take out) . Tom yum shrimp soup was the best I've ever tasted ; extremely delicious. However the padthai can be a little better - noodles were sticky and broken. Maybe because we had take out? So glad I tried the fried banana dessert/ appetizer yum! Great service, reasonable price, good food. I live in Orange County and there's nothing out there that can beat this place. It's a hole in the wall that meets my lofty expectations. I was the first to arrive, be seated and order. In fact, I was very excited to be there because I was referred by a friend who raved about one dish in particular. After waiting about 10 minutes, the server gave me my appetizer, then another 20 minutes went by. I ordered 3 dishes to try and take the rest home. So I came in here on my break at work, I was in uniform and the lady looked me up and down and turned away. I'm An Emt so it's not like I'm in a scandalous uniform. When she finally came up to me she had an attitude and didn't even look me in the eye. I ordered Pai Thai and the menu said it had shrimp and it was 8.95.... I've eaten here on several occasions since it's nearby school for me. For the most part, it's very quality Thai food but I'm disappointed in some of the dishes they have and how LONG it takes for them to make it sometimes! I have ordered the lad na, pad see ew, pad kee mow, and pad thai. The only dish I would complain about is the pad thai - I've ordered it two different times and both times they have been VERY bland. But for the most part, the other dishes I've ordered I can't complain about. I've never had issues with any other one of them and they give you a good portion. On occasions, I will call in to pick up and sometimes I will order in to take out. Sometimes they take up to 20 to 25 minutes to make dishes which is very inconvenient because I only have a 30 minute break, which leads to me only taking a few bites and sitting in class on an empty stomach. Even when I call in, they explain that it will only take 10 minutes but when I come in after 15 minutes or so, the food is still not ready so I'm left waiting for food that was supposed to be done 5-10 minutes prior to me arriving at the restaurant... Anyway, its a 5 star for food and a 3 for the service so overall 4! read more

This place was "Meh" so I guess 2 starts it is I definitely had better thai food at better prices. They do not have lunch specials ... Kind of sucks. The pad Thai was pretty good. Not all Thai restaurants have crying tiger but this place has the least flavorful crying tiger I've ever had. The service is very friendly though, very nice people. I've never had Roti before but it was sooo good although it's very oily! My boyfriend wanted to order two more to go. We'd come back for the roti but as for the food we'd prefer other places. My family and I have been here a few times to get the food to go on Saturdays, but today will be my last time. Every time we go the service is unfriendly and I feel I get cheated every time. I like the fried ribs so I got the 3 items combo. Today I paid almost nine dollars for two serving of ribs and rice when I paid for a THREE item combo. One star is not for their food. Food is good but food being served along with a live cockroach running across the plate and the server grabbing the cockroach with her bare hand, is why it is receiving a 1 star or even a 0 if i can give such a rating. After grabbing the cockroach with her bare hand she took the dish back and switch the plates and serve us the same food that had the creature running on it. Being that this is my only Thai food restaurant experience, I have nothing to compare it to. With that being said the thing that drove me to start eating here a while ago is that it seems it's a family owned and ran. You have an older lady in the kitchen which tells me I'm getting authentic Thai food cooked when ordered. Don't expect nothing fancy when you walk in. Place has about 8 small tables. Always greeted and asked if you will be eating there or placing an order to go. If it's to go, I strongly suggest you call in your order and give them 20 minute window to be safe. This place does get busy at times but they do come around to fill your cup of water. Sometimes it seems they should have an extra person helping out to make things run smoother. 3.5 stars for the service. Everything Ive had Ive liked. No bad experiences. Staff does help answer any questions about what a dish consists of. Tom Yum Kung &Tom Kha Kai soups I'd recommend. Chicken Panang is my favorite curry. Kao KrapRow Kai, crispy pork with mint leaves over steamed rice, Pad See-ew are amongst my usual go tos. Of course "spicy" Prices are reasonable, average plate is $10 and you get plenty of food. 5 stars for food. 5 stars for pricing. Try their Thai Iced Tea. They do close from 3pm - 4pm. read more

Hands down, the most legit Thai restaurant in the area. Their boat noodle is definitely worth trying--one of the best out there. So far I liked everything I've ordered: fried rice, stir fry noodles, curries, etc. Glad this place is nearby so whenever I need comfort food--it's a hop-skip away. :) Portion size compared to cost is also a plus --great food but won't break the bank. I don't know what "slap yo mama" delish is translated in Thai, but ya its that freakin good!!! The food is always on point, with good prices and large portions..They dont skimp on the meat (like other places) and have a good ratio of meat. The service is fast, friendly, and you can tell its a family run place. I love how they serve the items "family style" to share, but also have single rice plates for those who wanna be greedy with their entree. The menu is a good size with plenty of items to choose from if you'd prefer fish, rice, noodles, or curries. The server asked our measure of spice and since my husband is a wuss of a Mexican we went with Medium.. and wow it hot (in a good way) I felt the cook really knew how to determine the spice, since (even I as a cook) can never really figure out the spice of a chili or the difference in tastes between eaters. So I felt the cook had a good gauge of the customer and cater to the spice difference between Tabasco hot and holy Shit my a$$ is gonna burn Thai heat. I've ordered pretty much everything, and my favorites are the spicy noodle, Chicken Thai Basil, pineapple rice, papaya salad, and the boat noodles! Although everything has been great those hands down are my go-to's on the menu. From the outside, its a total hole in the wall next to a video rental place (like really how do those places even stay open?) Anywhoo, its easy to miss from the street.
