    Crying tiger

Not my favorite but wanted to give it a chance. The crying tiger steak looks like it was cooked long ago then served. Sauce not spicy or sour. Bummer

Clean and nice wide view of Bellflower Blvd.

Dined in before ugly storm 2-13-25. So this place use to be called Thai Melody I think. And honestly have never tried it so my friend and I decided, why the heck not. After our Gardening Club meeting in Bellflower, we really wanted something tasty. And Aon was the sweetest person to serve us. She made great recommendations for our next visit. The lunch specials are THe BOMB. So much food for $12.95!! Can't beat it. The pad thai with pork was perfect noodles, not too sweet and balanced with fresh bean sprouts. And the pork was soft and tender, not hard. Yay! The soup with the meal was good too, they even added brocoli & carrots. Not much of the places we eat at ever get this nutritious. Lunch combo comes with an egg roll too. Oh boy! Crispy. My friend ordered the yellow curry and that was a lot of food as well. We both shared so we got to try it all. There are probably 6-7 tables to sit 4 ppl each. There was enough parking spots there next to the Laundry Mat. Bathroom is decent. Most of all the service was superb and food amazing. We are going to hit this place up for more thai food awesomeness!!

Pretty solid option for a local Thai restaurant. Love the newly decorated store and friendly service. Price is also pretty reasonable. I got the drunken noodles today and it was pretty good. I'll be back to try their lunch specials next time.

    Hair in food

Ordered take out yesterday - there were egg shells in my pad Thai and a hair in my That Boat Noodles. First experience with this place was horrible based on the food I received. Won't be ordering from here again.

    Mango sticky rice

The combination of authentic Thai tea paired with the tantalizing decadence of mango sticky rice and service is a win!!! Give this place a spin

I was looking for a new spot to try on my lunch break and after seeing the photos I decided to give this new spot a try. I'm glad it did! The food was delicious and the service was great. They were very attentive and friendly. Nice clean and cute ambiance. I'll definitely be back. Lots of food for the price too! I had drunken noodles and the egg rolls and a Thai tea!

Food is Good! This mom and pop Thai restaurant popped up as I was exploring what to eat for lunch. Had the Thai boat noodles and the crab fried rice. Both were tasty. The prices were reasonable and they give good portion size. Will definitely come again to try the other food they have to offer.

    Papaya salad (no shrimps)

Used to come here when it was Jazz Melody but today was the first time I came here since it switched to Thai Chili Express. I ordered the papaya salad and the green curry. I'm saving the curry for tomorrow but had one bite and it's very flavorful! The papaya salad was good too. I got it mild and no shrimp and it was perfect! They gave lots of cabbage to eat with the papaya salad. The green curry doesn't come with eggplant like I was used to but the lady said if I want that in the future, to let her know and they will add it for me. So def will do that next time! Food was very good and I'm planning on coming back more often again. I forgot to take a pic of the curry but remembered to take one of the papaya salad

Chicken fried rice is so delicious! The set up is nice and has flowers on every table. Really love the food and staff here!

I ordered the Thai Boat Noodle and my husband got the Noodle King special. Honestly, it's basically…read morethe same broth, the king version just loads it up with brisket, tendon, tripe, and meatballs, so think of it as a fully stacked boat noodle. The broth is the star here. It's rich, flavorful, slightly sweet with a tangy kick, pretty sure there's some tangerine going on in there. Just a heads up, even "mild spicy level" has a noticeable heat, so if you're sensitive to spice, don't try to be brave... go no spice. The meats were surprisingly good, tender, not chewy, which is where a lot of places mess up. Noodles came out hot, no complaints there. We also got mango sticky rice and this is where they really sealed the deal. Mango was perfectly in season, juicy, sweet, not that sad sour off-season stuff. Sticky rice was soft and actually tasted like it was made fresh, not reheated from yesterday. Waitress was attentive and nice. Place itself is small, clean, modern, very mom-and-pop but done right, not rundown. I will definitely come back.

I was in the area at a doctor's appointment and my bf googled around the area for Thai Food. We…read morecame upon Thai Noodle since they were close by and the pictures looked good. It's tucked in a small strip mall with limited parking. The inside is very small, but cozy, clean, and has a warm mom and pop feel to it. The menu is pretty big with lots of options to choose from. _Chicken Satay ($11.59) Strips of chicken charcoal broiled. Served with peanut sauce and cucumber chutney. Always a must try. This was probably one of the most well cooked and seasoned satay. Very moist and well flavored. The peanut sauce was spot on and the vinegar sweet chutney is a perfect balance and adds a nice crunch texture. _Tom Kha Fish Noodle Soup ($14.99) Rice noodles with fresh fish filet, mushrooms, onion, tomatoes, galangal, kaffir lime, leaves in coconut milk spicy & sour soup. I would grow up having Tom Kha soup with my dad but was surprised as I've never seen fish kha in a noodle soup. I've had lots of Tom Kha and this is one of the top 3 I've had. The perfect amount of spices and aromas. Not too acidic or watery, and the right amount of sweetness. The fish was soft and had a good amount. The noodles were glass noodles, which was nice but I will say towards the end, the noodle soaks a lot of the broth. I would probably switch out for a different type of noodle next time. _Spicy Fried Rice ($13.79) Stir-fried with green beans, bell pepper, basil and your choice of chicken, pork or tofu. My bf ordered this and he did ask for medium but it was not really spicy (and that's coming from me, someone who really can't do spicy) Second time he ordered it mild and he said it was better and it did pack a bit more of a punch. I do appreciate that the rice was well seasoned and not too oily or buttery. _Orange Chicken ($13.79) Chicken breaded stir fried with Orange sauce. We have been on an orange chicken kick and compare to our favorite at Northern Cafe. We were pleasantly surprised, that this actually knocked it out. To be fair, its very different. I'm used to orange chicken being very sweet and heavy on sauce. This was more of a light sauce that had a tangerine flavor profile, so not overpowering, but still tasting the chicken with the sweetness being the enhancement instead of the main component. _Yen Ta Fo ($14.99) Pink rice noodles with special red soup, shrimp, squid, fish-balls, fish cake, imitation crab stick, tofu, white fungus & vegetables. I first saw this, when my gf, whom is Thai ordered it and I was intrigued as it was a dish I have never seen. I tried a bit and was a fan so when I saw they had it, I had to try their version. The soup was the perfect balance of sweet and sour (and I generally don't like sour), a bit acidic but also had a subtle light and refreshing taste to it. The white fungus had a nice chew to it, but more texture than taste. Safe to say we have found our new favorite Thai restaurant. We came here twice, and both times service is always very inviting and kind. Price is very fair for the quality and quantity.

We were craving some warm pho on a cold night, and Soup Shop sounded like the perfect spot. The plaza Soup Shop is located in is usually super crowded, but if you go after 9pm when most of the other restaurants and shops are closed, you'll find plenty of parking. Write your name down on the waiting list at the front podium and then wait for your name to be called. They have a few seats to wait right outside the door. Once we were seated, we were given menus. I really like that their menu has a lot of large photos of the dishes, so you know what you're getting! Once we ordered, the food came out pretty quickly despite being busy. For appetizers, we ordered the Crunchy Pork "Bao" since it sounded unique. Inside the bao is pork shoulder, mushroom, Vietnamese sausage, and quail egg. The outside has a thin, perfectly crispy layer that gives a nice little crunch when you bite into it. Really enjoyed these and would recommend! We also got the Crusted Parmesan Cauliflower. Not sure what's in the sauce, but it's sweet, tangy, and delicious! It's also topped with fried onion, cilantro, cucumber, and parmesan cheese. Also a winner! For entrees, we got the Chicken Pho and the Pho Ribeye. For the chicken Pho, you can get it with thigh or breast meat. I got it with breast meat, and they gave a good amount of meat! A little dry, but I appreciated that it was nice and lean. The flavor of the soup is really good. Pho Ribeye was also tasty! Hit the spot.

I ordered the pho brisket along with the crispy Vietnamese egg rolls (chả giò) through Yelp for pickup and drove out to grab it myself. The broth had really good flavor and definitely hit the spot once I warmed it back up at work. The brisket portions were generous, and the egg rolls were crispy, flavorful, and probably my favorite part of the meal. By the time I got back to work, the pho had cooled down a bit, so I did have to reheat it, and I noticed some grease collecting on top of the soup after it sat for a while. Overall though, still a satisfying and comforting lunch on a cold day, and I'd come back again when I'm craving pho.

I had this spot on my bookmarks for years, so I am glad to finally be able to stop by here. The process was a bit confusing when I first walked in, as there were no employees at the front counter - 2 of them were busy in the back cooking, eating, and talking and the other one was focused on making more boba and the trash, I guess. I did a walkthrough to look at everything, then I came back to the front counter and noticed the signages on the side wall about purchasing a cup first, then adding toppings and filling up your drink, then coming back to the front counter to get your drink sealed by an employee. I waited in line patiently, as the employees were all in the back doing various things, and the guy who was bringing out the boba and changing the trash finally came out. I noted that he was wearing the same gloves he did while taking out the trash and started to ring customers in front of me up and help seal finished boba cups wearing those same dirty gloves. I was disgusted, but since I drove a long way for this spot, I decided to stay, as he is only touching the outside of the cup anyway, and I will just wipe it down later. Anyway, I bought a cup and filled it with some ice, my favorite milk tea - jasmine milk tea, and boba. I do wished that they had a couple other toppings I liked though. I was ready to have my drink sealed and waited patiently for the employee to seal it. Overall, it was a good concept they have going on and it is one of those one time experiences at least for me, but they have to work on their cleanliness because there were 2 employees in the back cooking food for customers while eating themselves while cooking in front of it and the other employee wearing the same gloves doing everything, even when changing / touching the trash.
