Holy cow were they insanely delicious! Pumpkin cream - current seasonal donut. Coated in cinnamon sugar and a beautiful creamy filling. Clearly homemade and delicious. Marion berry jam - a classic jam, tart but sweet. They definitely didn't skimp on the filling. Vanilla bean - so so good. The vanilla flavor is delicious and present without being too overpowering Cheddar bacon biscuit - I cannot recommend these enough. They were so flavorful, fluffy and decadent. Not sure why or how I didn't know about this place until recently??? But so glad we started going! This is by far the best ice cream in Vancouver. I had the freckled peanut butter last weekend and I think it's, no joke, the best pb and chocolate ice cream I've ever had. I haven't spent more than 60 seconds in there since it always has a line and I've only gone during COVID times, so can't speak much to service, etc., but based on the ice cream alone I would give this place 10 stars if I could! The flavors are always just enough to be unique but also classically delicious ice cream, unlike some shops that get a little too ~fancy~. Vancouver is blessed to have a couple really good, high end, small batch ice cream establishments,;so to open something new, you would have to come with some big guns because there is already some serious competition. I must say, that Treat definitely does just that... From their unique flavors to their friendly staff , to their general decorum, this has all the makings for a great ice cream parlor. The Lucky Charms is the stuff dreams are made of, and their Strawberry and Cream is the best strawberry ice cream I have ever had. Seriously it is calling me back as I type this. My only issue is that their scoop size is definitely on the small side and after having double scoops, my entire party was wanting for more. Yes, it was that good, but portions were also skimpy. Whatever this combination is called, I'm calling it "mine" ... so get your own if you want some. * Ooey Gooey Butter Cake Ice Cream (5 stars) You had me at "ooey gooey" ... even before I found out its Vanilla Cream Cheese Ice Cream filled with sweet Butter Cake. Stopped by after lunch craving a cookie. There was a couple outside eating ice cream that said they do have good cookies and they warm them up for you. The girl at the front was super friendly and I ordered 3 different cookies. making small talk I asked if they were a chain or local to this area only. I love this place so much, I had to come back TWICE in a week. Everything is flavorful here and a large variety to choose from. They have pints, seasonal flavors (Peach Crumble, Brambleberry Crisp, etc) in addition to their classic flavors. I won't forget to mention that they have soft serve as well. Treat is such a cute little ice cream shop nearby Vancouver Waterfront. It's very small with two picnic tables outside their shop. I'm from out of town and have been following Treat on Instagram for a month or so before my trip. I was crushing hard on their donut posts and knew it had to be one of my first stops. I was really bummed to show up and see not 1 donut in the whole place. When I asked where they were I was told "they're on a bit of a hiatus". Since I was there I decided to grab a couple of cookies. They were good, no doubt, but not anything super out of the ordinary. I got an iced sugar cookie and salted chocolate chip. The donut flavors I had been eying were much more interesting- passion fruit, coconut cream, Nutella. It was hard to enjoy the cookies when I was expecting donuts bursting at the seems with yummy filling like what's boasted on their social media. Aside from the cookies they seemed to be predominantly an ice cream parlor although I didn't try any. I think it's important for brands to live up to their social media account branding because they control the content! If you're looking for a sweet treat they definitely seem worth the stop but you may want to double check before you go if you just want donuts! read more

This most recent time, I was respectfully and patiently observing their "one party in at a time" rule for covid safety, while the group of three adults in front of me took over ten minutes to order. Entire conversations were had with every single one of the three people working there. Couldn't one person chat them up and the next person begin their order? Or perhaps move the conversation outside if they were going to take such a long time talking about things that were not relevant to their order? A long line formed behind me during this. As the three customers walked out, they had no regard for literally causing such a line. No quick "sorry" or "thank you". Complimenting my tattoo right as the tip option shows up on the POS screen isn't going to cut it, give me a regular amount of customer service and I will tip well. A good service worker would recognize that line and take action to kindly hurry the party of people along. There was no "thank you for your patience" or anything. It's unfortunate. Last time a very grumpy man answered my question of whether they could fill a pint with two flavors or not. I would have been totally fine with a simple no, but he said they will do that only when the flavors I wanted aren't already available as pints. I stated the two flavors of two separate pints I'd like, and he proceeded to pack two separate pints of those flavors. Instead of putting them in one pint, like he said he could do if they weren't already packed... which they weren't. So I shrugged it off and purchased my two pints. read more

This place has some of the best ice cream ever. Not only are the flavors creative and super enticing, but the quality is great, too. (As a big fan of ice cream, trust me - you don't always get both!) Huge pieces of fruit, cookie, or cake (my favorite is the snickerdoodle) and tons of flavor. The staff are also really nice. I came in with my toddler once and they were very patient with us while we made a decision. This is a difficult review to write. Ice cream was creamy, delicious and everything I wanted. The salted caramel wasn't just vanilla ice cream with ribbons of caramel. It was this creamy vanilla with RIVERS of salted caramel intermixed within the very generous scoop. You may be wondering, "why is this such a difficult review to write?" BECAUSE, I AM CONTRIBUTING TO THE FUTURE LINE I WILL BE STANDING IN. The coconut milk rainbow sherbet was bright and had a wonderful tang. I wanted sweets and my partner wanted coffee. I called to see if they had coffee prior to us driving over and the young man said they serve stumptown cold brew. Awesome! When we get there, oops, they actually DONT HAVE COFFEE. And to make matters worse, none of the young kids apologized! One girl said "oh I didn't answer the phone" and another boy was so embarrassed he put his head down and tried not to look at me. I was pissed. No one apologized for wasting our time and forgetting to actually check the tap while I was on the phone, before we came. I don't blame the kids. I actually blame the owners for not training the kids on general customer service. Never coming back here again. And that cookie we bought was stale and disgusting. read more
