We usually do our yard work ourselves because it's difficult to find a company that is reliable and does a good job without charging you an arm and a leg. That is why the service we received from Tree Cherubs was so refreshing. We hired them for some tree trimming, and they were responsive and on time throughout the process. The Tree Cherubs team came to remove a fig tree that had grown in an awkward position between our shed and the fence (resulting in the fence being knocked over on the neighbor's side), and pruned all of the trees in our backyard and frontyard. The team was very knowledgeable about tree removal and pruning, and helpfully out how prior service providers that I had previously hired had chosen incorrect branches to prune (which unfortunately resulted in one large branch of one of our peach trees now being fully dead with mushrooms growing out of it), and how they would do it differently to preserve the health of the tree as much as possible. The team got the entire job done within a day at a fair price. All of the pruned branches were arranged neatly for the chipper, and the chipper came and cleaned everything up. We had a multi year issue with big trees hanging over our roof. Each year a cut would stop it for a bit, but it wasn't until we connected with Tree Cherubs who examined our situation and made the right cuts so the trees grew away from the roof, but sill grew full and kept the full look of the property. What a delightful, and smooth experience I just had with Tree Cherub! I feel elated! Where do I begin? Just like another reviewer that I had seen on Yelp, I also had never had tree work done before. I felt very worried about the cost of using a tree removal service. I felt a little nervous , and concerned, because I had never done anything like this before. I am a Yelper. I regularly go on Yelp to find the services that I need. I am a religious person, and the name, Tree Cherub, really spoke to me. I decided to give them a call. I was immediately greeted by a very warm, and friendly man, who seemed to really care about me and my tree dilemma. He listened to all my concerns, and answered all my questions. Since they are new, and Christmas is coming, they graciously gave me a sweet deal; a large discount off their regular price. How could I resist? It was at this point, that I decided to schedule an appointment to have his company come out and remove my tree. When the day arrived, the Tree Cherub team arrived so quickly, that it almost seemed as if they had arrived by chariot. Wow! I was already impressed! Needed to have a couple of 30' tall oak trees thinned out at my mom's place in Los Altos. Received a very competitive quote in a couple of days and scheduled work the following week. Tory mentioned he only schedules one job per day, which was a big plus for me, as I have had other outfits take shortcuts in order to get to their next job. Tory responded quickly to setting up a visit and was reliable in showing up on time for initial visit and subsequent work. We were a bit concerned when he showed up with one helper and all his equipment crammed into a small sedan. The cutting and trimming met our expectations, and they produced a large pile of debris at the front curb. They then had a subcontractor grind, remove and clean up, all in one day. They used hand tools and small battery powered tools. This meant the work was much quieter than the typical crew with gas powered tools.
