If I could give this place negative stars I 100% would. The idiot bouncer took my friends License despite the fact that it was real and she had two other forms of legit identification. I would NEVER spend my money there if he is earning from it. Hands down the most ridiculous bouncer I have ever seen... we called the police to get my friends ID back because he wouldn't give it to us. We were here during fr new year celebrations and this was the most happening place we could find in downtown savannah. The price was good and the dj was playing the latest hits for the dance enthusiasts. If I happen to be in town again, I'll definitely visit this place again. read more

Tree house is a bar/club geared toward popular and current music. The night I went it was an ugly Christmas Sweater affair. The bartenders were numerous and were very attentive. The drinks were moderately priced but can get expensive if you are there to get tipsy. I have no major complaints but do think this place needs a cosmetic facelift. read more

This should be such a great fun spot. The bar has great outside area to sit and really fun music. The problem is the service. In my most recent experience, the bartender was so hateful that several people around me left. He refused to answer any of our questions and actually ignored us when we tried to order a second time. The bar wasn't busy, he simply refused to help. Another customer told us the bartender had been rude to people the entire time he was there. I stopped in here on a Saturday night, didn't think too much about it coming in as the street all around city market was basically a ghost town. There wasn't a cover so my friend and I went in, climbed a few flights of stairs with "tree art" to come into the bar. My mood immediately improved because the crowd was pretty big, it was actually a challenge to move around. I wouldn't call this place the ritz, but if you're looking for something a couple steps higher than a dive bar, I suggest the Treehouse. It wasn't super spacious, but that just makes it a lot easier to fill up. The crowd is mostly young military and college kids so it's definitely lively. Aside from the bar, there was a DJ spinning the Top 40 in a little nook behind a modest sized dancefloor. If you'd like a view, you can step onto the balcony and have a drink. He said it was still early enough so there was no cover charge but there was a dress code and I couldn't get in. I had on a regular t-shirt and jeans! I already hinted that he was in the wrong. So I walked over to Wild Wing Cafe to get a drink and watch the game. When I ordered, I casually ask the waitress, who's been living here all her life, if there was a dress code at treehouse. She told me she never heard of that. And that it was still early enough to sit and watch the game comfortably. That's really all I needed to confirm. I would never even walk by that place again! The bouncers are extremely rude. We waited in line for twenty to thirty minutes. The bouncers checked our i.d.s and he told us to wait a minute. This guy on the side came up asking how much it would be for 30 people in a bridal party and the bouncer told him, checked all of their i.d.s while the group of four I was in tried to go through while the bouncer told us to get back in line and let the group of thirty go ahead in front of us who hadn't even waited. This place is pretty cool! Kind of a young, hip place. Sort of closer to a club than a bar. Went on a Thursday and there was a DJ and tons of people. It was LOUD, but not in a bad way. This is a happening spot. A group of us came on a Saturday night for a bachelorette weekend. The bouncers were really nice and waived our cover charge and let us right in. My issue was that it was super crowded, almost overcrowded considering the size of the place. I saw an employee come around with a clicker counting people at least 6 times while we were there. The dance floor was tiny and there was hardly any room to move. There also didn't seem to be a enforced dress code either. If you are bar hopping like we were it's worth a stop but if this is your main destination, you may want to find somewhere less crowded. read more

It appears the staff here are intentionally trying to not have repeat customers. I've never encountered staff in the service industry that have been this rude and disrespectful. I got the impression they hate their jobs and take it out on the patrons. I had one door guy physically push me out of the stairwell as we were trying to enter the top common area. I can't make people enter any faster but the door guy obviously believes it's his right to put his hands on people. The lack of common decency from the staff soured the rest of my evening. The Treehouse served it's purpose....for tourists it provided a great dance atmosphere, indoor/outdoor seating and gorgeous male bartenders. Really neat concept for an upstairs bar. My friend and I needed to use the bathroom and there was a line to the balcony of other girls waiting, some girls were cutting the lines (not cool).
