I loved this park! We booked it for a work group outing and it was so much fun! There are so many courses to choose from at varying skill levels so everyone in our group was able to have a blast! It is such a good value for the $! Beware that most of the courses above the greens have a jump and auto repel from a platform at the end. We didn't realize it until we go to the end of the first blue course and it was so hard! The staff were around to talk us all down but it took a while for some of us! read more

Each year we let our girls choose dinner and an activity for their birthdays. Our youngest chose The Adventure Park after going there for a school trip this year. We had a great time- staff was friendly and knowledgeable, also very patient when people might struggle with a part of the course. They could talk you through a lot of things while they were on the ground and were also watchful of the kids climbing the courses. I felt like my harness constricted my legs a bit at first but you get used to it. There can sometimes be a back up on certain courses- on one of the green courses a little boy was having trouble reaching certain clips and other things, so when his mom couldn't assist there was a hold up. We tried not to be impatient jerks and just applaud him for his bravery so high up in the air... But something to be aware of. The fun is designed for all ages starting with purple courses and ending with double black diamonds. We did the two yellow and two green courses while our youngest did the two blue courses. I would definitely make an effort to get a Groupon versus paying full price- we had a lot of fun but $144 for the three of us was a little steep. We hosted our son's 9th birthday party at TreeRunner West Bloomfield. It couldn't have been easier, or more fun for this group of boys! The park has picnic tables, chairs, garbage cans. Jets pizza delivered, and we brought snacks / desert. The staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful while learning to use the equipment, and on the course. I would love to give this place a 5 star review (and would in a heartbeat if I have an opportunity to have a 5 star experience here - the potential exists), but on my first visit there were some major logistical problems. The good: This is a very cool activity. The variety of courses seem engaging (though I was only able to get through one, as I'll describe below). The one course I did was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed the physical challenge. Although it feels a bit "scary" at times, the park has put a very effective and easy to use safety system in place, which made me feel very safe at all times. I loved going through the blue waterfall course. I visited on glow night. This is a unique and fun concept. The forest is illuminated by lights, which gives it a "lost boys" feel. They provided one free glow toy per guest (a surprising and fun treat!) plus glow paint. They played 80s music. This made for a great atmosphere. Parking is also free and the grounds are beautiful and neat. The bad: The 'waiting' required is inexcusable. I am ordinarily a patient and understanding person, but this place exceeded my patience. I anticipated that a special event would bring crowds and generate wait times. However, the park was completely unprepared to handle it and as a result, over 2/3 of the climb time that we paid for was spent standing around. Since this is a rather expensive activity (even at the twilight price), I expect logistics to be in place to maximize climb time. The problem was present from the moment I approached the trailer at which you pay. I didn't realize you could sign the waiver online in advance (my fault), and it took about 40 minutes to get through the waiver line. Rather than pass waivers out on clipboards, there are 4 iPads (only 3 were working but there didn't appear to be enough staff to send someone over to fix the 4th). People were struggling to figure out the iPad app and type, and it took forever. It's a cool idea, but very impractical. They could easily have a sign outside telling people to fill it out on their smart phones while they wait to limit this bottle necking. It's an unnecessary logistical error that presents a bad customer experience from the start. After getting through the slow waiver line, we approached the payment desk. Only then were we told there was a wait list to climb. I don't have a problem with there being a wait list, but a staff member should have told the people waiting in waiver line 40+ minutes. We put our names on the list and walked out to see the line had tripled in size. We politely let people know there was a wait list. The people in line thanked us. Some stayed, and some left. People waiting in a very slow-moving line should be advised if there is a wait list. This is a terrible customer service problem and frankly pretty easy to resolve (a sign). Also, we were told that there was "no way" to estimate how long the wait list was. This is an odd policy in light of the fact that the tickets sold before us had definite end times. Even when we checked on the status 10 min before we were called to climb, we were told we couldn't be given any sort of time estimate. Really keeps you in limbo, putting faith in the fact that you might be able to climb at some point. We occupied our time and checked out the park and eventually received a text that we were off the wait list (the text is a cool feature). We paid and got our harnesses. We now had about 3 hours of climb time left before close. So we put our harnesses on right away and waited by the training area. And waited. And waited. It was clear that they wanted to train a large group at once, but another harnessed individual didn't show up for 20 minutes. Someone (many staff members were standing around) could have trained us in that 20 minutes. We then could have done the practice course without another bottleneck. Instead, from the time we were harnessed, we waited almost another hour before getting to the course start platform. Upon the platform, we were told that we had to take the blue waterfall course before we could try another course. I understand this rule, but it was clear that too many tickets were sold to allow people to actually complete the course. We waited another 20 minutes before the first person in our 3-person group began the first element. We then each waited 15+ minutes on each platform. It took over an hour to get to the halfway point of the course due to congestion on the course (we were told the entire course takes 45 minutes). We were able to finish the second half of the course in a more timely fashion, since the park was about to close, but it was a very disappointing and a boring experience for most of the night. Of the time we paid for, we had less than an hour of "active" time and the rest was spent waiting due to the event being oversold and poor logistics. I posted a review on their Facebook page and asked that a manager read my review and contact me. No one called. read more

Such a fun place! We bought our tickets a couple days before for a Sunday time and completed the waivers before we got there. We arrived a little early and checked in very quickly. The safety briefing also didn't seem too long and it was definitely needed. We started on a green course then did a blue and black diamond. I initially wanted to just start with blue but we were told we had to complete a green first. It did not appear that this was strictly enforced. The green run was easy and a little slow because there were more kids. The blue was more challenging but still do-able. The black diamond was challenging for me but not for my husband. There were some things I wondered about that were not written in other reviews. First I wondered if my height of 5'0" would put me at a disadvantage at all. I would say this was true, especially on the black diamond course. There is water in the park, but it is from a drinking fountain, so if you don't like that then bring your own water. I also brought my own gloves because I was afraid the ones they have at the park would be too big. My cycling gloves seemed to work pretty well. They warned me about possibly losing my Apple Watch while in the park, but it didn't come loose at all. I recommend wearing capris or pants that stretch. I wore short sleeves and didn't have any issues scraping my arms. I also recommend tightening the harness around your legs often as mine seemed to come loose and then would be uncomfortable when zip lining or jumping off a platform. Jumping off the platforms is probably the scariest part as you are going straight down to the ground! read more

Ive never been to anything like this before but it was such a fun experience. They strap you in and give you a brief tutorial before you get onto the course. The course difficulty is separated by color and you must complete the green before going to the blue or black courses. There isn't a time limit on how long you can be out there so pace yourself!! I had my friend go first so I can watch how he completed the course and follow. The green wasn't very difficult and we started with those. The blue gets more difficult but not undo able. I didn't do the black course but my friends did and it did look difficult. I don't even want to think about the double black course. I think the increase in height makes it all the more scary. This is a full body workout and can get really tiring! The people who work there watching on the floor will give you hints if you're struggling and don't know how to cross parts of the course. Be careful how you're holding onto the wires! If you're holding it with your forearms above the wire you'll probably see scrapes on the underside of your arm! read more

This was such an awesome experience!! A friend and I went when I was visiting home and this was a perfect thing to do! We were able to move confidently through the courses because the safety and protocol was explained thoroughly to us. Our 10 year old is a little adventurous and this seemed like a good place for home to have some "dangerous" fun (safely). He struggled at first with the rope clips, but by the 5th platform he is an expert. Price is for 3 hours, so it worked out to a bit over $10/ hour. This seems high paid all at once, but compared to an arcade, movie, sporting event, it is a good deal. The course has multiple levels of difficulty (height and obstacles). This was so cool! Get ready for a serious workout, some potential bruises and a whole lot of fun. What do you buy a girl who already has everything and then some, for her birthday? You don't. You go do something, something that is out of the ordinary which will create some memories! Stepdaughter birthday problems: solved. We came here for her birthday and are looking forward to coming back already. The first half an hour or so is destined for (safety) training, familiarizing yourself with the harness, "tweezles" and miscellaneous obstacles you can come across. After that it's time to climb the main platform where all different courses start from. You will have to start at easier courses -this is not only recommended by me, but also by the staff. Don't be brave and decide to start difficult, it is a real wise choice to familiarize yourself with the tweezling and different sensations thrown at you (heights! wobbliness!). We made it until the last course before the black, I think it was blue. We were running out of time, but also out of strength at that point. You WILL be using your arms and legs and pretty much all kinds of muscles you didn't know you had. After about 3.5 hours I had the upper body strength of a boiled spaghetti noodle left in me, so the time allowed on the course worked in our favour. I did encounter a little um, roadblock. I may or may not have worked myself in a tizzy to the point of near tearloss, let's just say it wasn't my prettiest 15 minutes. Be prepared for a total mindphuq with some of these obstacles along the way. This place is about 80% mental and 20% physical, by which I mean that as long as you remain calm - everything will be fine. It is a very interesting mindgame, and you will return feeling accomplished and with a whole new level of confidence in your self; for real, no exagerration. Most everything was awesome. Ziplining - yup! Trapeze - ing between platforms/trees - heck yeah! Jumping off platforms - sign me up! Most importantly, you are always 100% safe as long as you follow the rules. read more

It was absolutely beautiful hanging out climbing through all the beautiful colored trees. I felt like the staff was very helpful, kind, and welcoming. Definitely a fun way to spend three hours. It's also reasonably priced for the amount of activity/entertainment offered. The staff is super-friendly, enthusiastic and encouraging. There are courses for almost any age and skill level. I went on a busy weekend day recently and was not surprised to find that the park was full and there was a wait ahead of me. I was happy to learn that they have a great waiting list process that allows you to not only receive a text when your place in line is up, you can also monitor the wait times of the parties ahead of you using your mobile phone. We took off to get some refreshments while waiting and received a text indicating our time was up. No problem, we responded to the text indicating that we needed an additional 10 minutes. When we arrived back at the park, we were next up for the orientation. Great service! No real gripes other than the fact that some of the elements simply take longer to complete than others. At those spots, the process of completing a course sort of grinds to a halt. Golfers could liken these bottlenecks to a par 3 hole only there's no waving the the next group to hit up on the green. There are also some elements that some people find to be too much for them and freeze. This really slows things up... While I'm not a fearless daredevil, I found no reason to feel unsafe there. There is plenty of safety equipment for the activity. I'm not sure what the safety record is here. Based on the equipment and orientation, I'd guess it is excellent. Staff was amazing, check in was quick and efficient and the idea of the obstacle course is genius. However, the quick lesson showing you how to put on your safety equipment and how to lock and unlock was difficult to understand especially now that everyone is wearing masks--it just made it more difficult to hear and understand. You'll spend the first hour trying to figure out how to unlock the things. Well me and my crew did at least. Once we began our course you realize quick you need some serious upper body strength . I had a great time but it would be nice to have some direction at each course especially for first timers. You're basically just "let go" after you get your harness presentation. I did end up injuring myself which I feel could have been prevented had the direction been there. I won't be back but enjoyed the experience! read more

Been there twice now and plan to go back many times to come. They have different levels of difficulty for the courses. You navigate obstacles, climb and zip line. You'll pull up to the Jewish church and park in their lot and walk towards the trees. We came here on a Saturday night on their last call ticket for my husband's birthday. It was a bit crowded, so if you can, come on a weekday. We were only able to do three obstacle courses since you have to wait for the person in front of you to finish before you can go. The briefing is at least 20mins of your time. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I thought it was going to be just ziplining but it is a full on obstacle course. The higher you go the more intense it gets. Let me tell you, the black diamond is no joke! For a person who rarely exercises I think I did pretty well. I got through the whole course, but it is a lot of upper body strength used. My whole body was sore and bruised up because I held onto the wires tight, that doesn't mean I didn't have a blast! I would definitely do it again, but on a weekday so we can spend more time on the courses. read more

Oh my goodness. I had a BLAST!!!!! The courses were truly challenging, and I feel like a total badass for finishing.... half of the blue course. eheheh.... I promise you'll have a grand time here! You WILL be challenged! There are many courses to choose from, and they range from purple (easiest) to double black diamond. You can start on of the easiest 3 levels, but you have to work up one level at a time for the harder ones. I did orange, then green, then blue. I'm glad they enforced the difficulty levels, since I would've quit much sooner if I jumped right to blue! Everything is super safe. They harness you up, and walk you through all the safety measures. They then have a practice area (at ground level) for some hands-on experience with the tweazles (sp?) and zip lines before they let you out into the wild. I wasn't sure what to expect from The Adventure Park. Would it remind me of the South Park episode "I never should have gone zip lining?" Would it be full of obstacles designed to challenge four-year-old kids? Nope to both! This place is a blast for all ages! I started out on a green course, which was tons of fun because it involved plenty of swinging between the trees. Then I moved on to a blue course, which was also great (I swung into a giant net) and challenging. My fiance and I both worked up quite a sweat after these two courses. The staff were friendly and helpful, but not overbearing. We were free to explore and make mistakes as we tried new obstacles. This was a really fun couples activity, but I also think it would work for a group of friends, family, even co-workers! It is sort of hidden behind a Jewish Community Center, so give yourself time to find parking. read more

This place was intense. A good intense. You go in and sign a release form or sign it online prior to going in. A staffer gets you a harrness and a cord and instructs everyone in the group how to put it on and did a safety breifing. Our staffer in particular had a great sense of humor with it so it wasnt boring. They start you on practice ropes just to get you a hang of it then your off to which one you think youre ready for. I am scared of heights so this was a doozy but I was determined to get through it. I think the green and yellow are the beginner ones (dont quote me) and the blue and black diamonds are the hardest ones. I first got on the yellow which wasnt bad. My clasps got stuck quite a few times but the staff helped out. I did one of the blue trails and it was.... Let's just say it was both physical and psychological for ones that are scared of heights. It was very hard, one of the staffers said its just like the black diamond ones so be aware of that. I got through it and I felt really great and accomplished (a little sore too) It was great family bonding and seems great for hanging with friends, breaking ice on a first date or changing up the routine for date night. Everyone should do it. Im definitely up for doing it again. read more

I have nothing but glowing words about this park. My 15 year old daughter and I have been there twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute. There are all different levels of challenge to help you feel successes but also to push yourself and your comfort level while still feeling safe 25 feet in the air walking across a thin wire or on spinning foot holds or climbing a rope ladder. It's really fun. Okay, from my daughter's perspective, she also gets to see a bunch of cute, fit instructors and teenage boys who are taking on the same challenges she is, but these courses push her stamina and resolve not to quit. I haven't seen her work so hard and not want to give up as much as she did last Saturday on one of the toughest parts of the double black diamond course. She did not want to stop trying until she was just too exhausted to continue. It really builds confidence in kids to take on these challenges as they get progressively harder and they have to figure out how to tackle each one. Just a really fun, active way to spend an afternoon. We'll keep going back. Need to finish that double black diamond. Would absolutely recommend this in a second read more

I took my son and his best friend here and they had a blast! Staff was knowledgeable and friendly! The boys had so much fun doing the obstacles and zip lines. I would have given a five star review however on their last obstacle my son got stuck on a platform because a girl wouldn't do the obstacle. He was stuck on the platform for almost a half hour because she would t jump off. The staff member "helping" her just stood there talking to her and she just wouldn't move. You can only have three people on a platform so because she would not do the obstacle four other platforms were completely stripped with three people on each of them. I asked if she could just hook back up to the tree and let the people who wanted to finish the obstacle do it but the staff member said "no". So my son wasted over a half hour of his time stuck on the last obstacle because of this one person who refused to jump. Other than this hiccup it was so much fun! Place was clean and well maintained. We would definitely come back but I feel like the staff should have rectified this situation a lot sooner so that our time was not wasted and he was not stuck on a platform so long. We visited the park Saturday July 22nd to celebrate my sons 20th Birthday. We were a party of 14. We could not have picked a better way to spend his Birthday!! The staff was AWESOME!! Especially Jordan who saved my life. The staff was so accommodating as 3 out of our group of 14 needed rescuing. Our groups ages were 17, 20s, 30s and 40s and all of us had a wonderful time!! This is not a cheap activity - but it can last anywhere from 4-5 hours (or shorter if you get tired) and is well worth the money. Nice, helpful staff. Several levels for kids to adults and beginner to expert. The higher-level course can be very challenging (physically and mentally). If you or your child cannot function at heights or are not in decent physical shape, this might not be the best choice for you. If you "freeze up" and get stuck in the middle of the course, it's not quick or easy to get you down (or across) and everyone on the course behind you gets stuck waiting for easily 20 minutes (even if you are only 10 feet off the ground). Also, plan for it to take about an hour to sign in and go through the required training course before you actually start climbing. If you push it with the little tots (or even adults) on the more difficult courses, they may get stuck just because of physical limitations. Make sure they are really confident before going up a level and have them practice pulling themselves across a zipline in the training section, in case they stall out on a zipline. This may save everyone a lot of grief. The staff can offer tips on tackling each course and offer advice on difficulty levels. BTW - you need to sign up online for a scheduled time or you might show up and it could be sold out. This is a great, fun, unique, challenging activity for kids to adults and the woody environment is really nice. We had a great time. read more

This park is awesome. Lots of adventure and fun. The only complaint I have is the price. I would actually have gone back many times if it wasn't for the price @ $44 on the weekends, $39 week days only in the summer though. Fall prices are only the weekends. That is a bit much, I think $25-$30 would be sufficient and they would get more repeat customers. But at the current price, once a year is all I can do. I had a great time, it's great for kids and it was an awesome date. Everyone that I told about the park asked me was the price worth it. That was hard to answer, because it was fun but it really is something you would have to determine for yourself. It's the same price as going to Cedar Point and you can stay there all day! At the Adventure Park, you only get 3 HOURS to climb as many trails as you can. That part is really cool. It's set up like a ski resort. The easy trail is like the bunny slopes, then it goes up from there all the way to the 2 black diamond levels. I think there were 7 trails in total. Don't remember. Sorry. We went at the end of September, so I can only imagine that in summer the lines are longer which means you will lose a lot of time. Therefore you won't get to do as many trails as we did. We did 4 trails in total. It was an Aventure, very well set up and even though it is scary in parts, you that you are safe. BUT COME ON GUYS LOWER THE PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. Throw us a bone on the price guys for next summer guys and we go several times a year and I will change the stars to 5*. read more

This place is awesome. There are different levels of difficulty, so you can challenge yourself as you go. The minimum climbing/zipping age is 7. The courses have some very cool variations, so this is way better than traditional zip lining from point A to B. There are picnic tables and an area with large wooden blocks if you have non-participants or little ones to enjoy. The staff is awesome, and helpful. The parking is in front of the Jewish Community Center so allow time for that. Also be aware that the adventure park itself is tucked away behind the playground adjacent to the community center, so if you aren't paying attention to the GPS you'll be sure to accidentally pass it right up. They provide fingerless leather gloves. My advice is to bring a small bottle of hand sanitizer and a band aid or two. I saw a guy scratch his finger on a wire fitting and was bleeding a little on the glove and presumably the line itself, which grossed me out a little. So just check your gloves before wearing and sanitize often, being sure to cover any cuts or scrapes for your own protection. Plus the only restroom option is a port-a-potty, so there is no such thing as too much sanitizer in that situation! Anyhow, awesome place, totally recommended for family, groups, dates etc. Super fun time outdoors! read more
