A few friends and I came here with the Groupon. 4 ladies, wine tasting (8 wines), a tour and one free glass of wine each. The talk that came with the tasting was really informative. Lots of background on the family and how each wine got it's name. Like the other Yelpers mentioned, this is sa-weeeeet muscadine wine. I really enjoy a nice sweet wine, but most of these made my lips pucker. I'm not sure that I could drink a whole glass of most of these. The wine slushie was good though. I'd drink another one of those. The original tree house sits next to the gift shop and tasting room. We wandered right up there to check it out. It was very cute and extremely small. I would be interested in seeing the overnight treehouse though! The vineyard is beautiful! The tour consists of showing you the bottling room, explaining some of the machines and how they've grown as a vineyard. Then the tour is over. This was a fun way to spend an hour or two, but not an entire afternoon. As others have mentioned, they have music in Saturdays in the summer. I think that'd be a nice little date night. read more

This is a unique small winery tucked back behind neighborhoods. You certainly aren't going to find it by accident. You can rent out a treehouse and sit up in the tree and enjoy your wine and snacks. You can also spend the night (or longer) in tree houses. They offer around 12-15 different wines and give tours of their facility with wine tasting in indoor or outdoor banquet rooms. A history of the farm and the wines is presented. You get to keep your glass that sports their logo. There is a small gift shop to purchase wines and accessories. It's very quaint, laid back. You can even sit around the fire pit and warm up with the wine of your choice. A friendly place! read more

They offer a great deal on Groupon, not a wine drinker so can't offer any review on that. The tasting event is very interesting, lots of history, after the wine tasting there's a 15/20 minute lesson on how the wine is created and the processes, they also show how they have evolved from really basic hand made tools to the latest and greatest. Our tasting had 39 women and 4 men and the previous tour seemed to have about the same mix so I can only assume more women drink wine than men. Can't think of a cheaper date night than this, if your on the fence just do it. read more

Very impressed with the tour and tasting available. Most wineries my fiancé and I have been to only do a tasting and it's an extra fee to do a tour. At Treehouse Vineyards your wine tasting cost includes a tour of how they make and bottle the wine. Then you get to try many of their wines and take the glass home. They have a wine club available that we joined for free where you can do tastings/tours and attend fun events with music and food for no cost. I visited yesterday with BFFs and my daughter. Having visited initially a couple of years ago I must say i was most impressed with how much the tasting and tour experience had improved and expanded. The tasting portion was led by a very charming and knowledgeable Finnish woman. Her presentation was a blend of vineyard and family history. The tour was led by a lovely young woman who was well informed and totally in touch with her audience. She posed and answered questions about the winemaking process easily. I'll start with highlighting the fact they this vineyard is extremely limited on varietals of wine. I've never been a big fan of Muscadine wines because I feel they are syrup sweet but even the other four wines they had were very one note. No complexity to them at all. The red wines were stored in correctly, sitting out in 90 degree heat. The tasting itself was professional, the views are quite nice but that's the only positives I have to say about my experience. The actual tour was a joke, so horrible. The girl was beyond nervous, offered hardly any information and was unable to answer any questions that were asked. I discovered this vineyard from a deal on groupon, which seemed to be a common theme from the other guest there. When it came time to get our bottle of wine we were told that the only two wines I liked were "reserve" and not included. I told the woman that this information was not on the Groupon. I requested to simply pay the difference since I wouldn't enjoy the other wines and they refused. In my opinion do not offer a deal if you aren't willing to own the fact that it brings you most of your business and not be a little be flexible. They could simply offer another groupon for the reserve wines and make money there but when someone offers to pay the difference I don't see why that should be a problem because you are actually making more money!!! I won't be returning again because they need to refine the wines and work on customer service! read more

What an adorable winery, we came here with a group of nine of us this past Saturday for a bachelorette party. The weather couldn't have been more beautiful. It was so much fun!! The lady who greeted us was a little rude and abrasive at first but after time she warmed up. They do a great wine tasting followed by a tour of there quant winery and for every two people in our group we were given a bottle of wine of our choice. The winery has two tree house that you can rent out if you have a group of four, which we walked through. What a great hidden gem. I will definitely be returning. read more

we rented out an area of the venue for a bridal shower. when we got there to set up there was another party still cleaning up which cut into our time. Also the consultant that we spoke with did not honor the agreement that we had emailed and rushed us to leave. They don't even have the area blocked off so there other patrons sitting in our area. Had a 6 wine tasting- staff was knowledgeable and answered questions. Having been to several napa / Sonoma and Australian vineyards I thought it was fabulous! We had a wonderful time at Treetop Vineyards. I received a Groupon gift for my birthday for 2 and a gift card for 2 hours in a treehouse. The staff was very accommodating to help us coordinate taking the tour, the winetasting, and maximize our time in the treehouse. We brought lunch with us and the whole experience was super fun and relaxing on a beautiful summer afternoon. What a great place. The wine was sweet. Charged $8 for the tasting and it was worth it to listen to Tim McBride aka Santa. They chose the wines for the tasting. I prefer a choice. This weekend my boyfriend and I visited Treehouse Vineyard for the first time for their tasting and tour. We absolutely loved it! We used a Groupon ($18) and it was a total steal! The wine is delicious (In fact, we're thinking of going back soon to get another few bottles! It's too bad they don't sell the wine in grocery stores) and the tasting was very enjoyable. The "tour" is a little lack-luster, and I wish they gave an actual tour of the vineyards. I'm not sure if they do that later in the year as their wasn't much greenery yet. Either way, we had a nice time and I'll definitely recommend it to friends and family. read more

This place was fantastic! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and excited to be here. The location is kind of random, but overall the grounds are beautiful. There's plenty of seating, rocking chairs, tree swings, and tables and benches. The grounds were well kept, very pretty, lots of flowers and places to sit and relax. The tree houses were darling! So freaking cute. My group showed up a little early for the wine tasting and explored the grounds a little bit. For $6 we got a hell of a deal in my opinion. We got a tour, eight different tastes, a sampling of their winorita(SO GOOD), plus a cute glass to take home. You really can't beat that price in my opinion. The wines themselves were not bad, they have a lot of sweet wines I found two that I enjoyed enough to take home. Great prices on bottles, plus if you buy three you get 10 percent off each bottle - it's under $40 for three bottles - another steal! The tour was inside, pretty much explaining their processes and it was pretty quick, but still interesting to see. The staff was friendly, knowledgable, and seemed to enjoy their work, I liked talking to them. I'm really glad we found this place, it's little but it offers a great experience for a great price. Came for the wine and treehouse experience. Overall, the wine was simple but drinkable. You need to like muscadine to come here as that is was is grown. The people were great and seemed excited to be there. The treehouse accommodations were as expected, small but quaint. Would recommend new AC, make sure smoke detectors are actually installed, and take another pass of paint, and make sure there is soap. The deck was beautiful. read more

Vsisted the vineyard and took the tour. Very professionally done. Spent the evening listening to the live band sipping a cool drink overlooking the vineyards. What a great experience. Then spent the night in the treehouse. Much better than expected. Very clean and enough room. Kitchen area, living room couch, table, upstairs bedroom, outside deck, gas bbq. Basically all the comforts of home up in a tree. Shower, bathroom, hot and cold water, coffee pot, AC units up and down. Phil and Dianne were great hosts too. Very friendly and thought of everything. Great place! The staff and the family who own the vineyard are very friendly and helpful. More importantly, this is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to close to CLT. The property is beautiful and there is ample room to sit and enjoy some wine and snacks. I went here expecting horribly sweet wine, but what I found was opposite. All of their muscadines are absolutely delicious, and not to mention cheap! If it's hot outside, i recommend a wine-a-rita! I'd like to check out the treehouse sometime! read more

Last year, we decided to start touring NC wineries. The state has like 110. Boyfriend came upon this gem through Groupon and decided to treat me to a surprise for graduation. It was beautiful. We've been back at least once since then and plan to go back again soon. It's family-run and quiet. We're kinda nerdy so learning about the vinification process is pretty interesting, especially as they keep changing it. For another surprise date, he rented out the Date Night treehouse and it was ours for 2 hours. Really very romantic, AND they have "Papa's Treehouse (Dreamhouse?)" that you can rent overnight for about $100/night. The area is very quiet and you can just sit on a swing, or in some rocking chairs by the fire pit, and take in the scenery and some wine. It is a perfectly relaxing date. And everyone is very hospitable and friendly. They offer Groupons and Livingsocial deals quite regularly, including Date Night treehouse rentals. As for the wine, they mainly offer muscadine wines, but I saw that they recently released a Merlot, which I'm ecstatic about, as I have personally started favoring drier wines over the muscadine in general. But don't get me wrong- some places can really screw up a muscadine wine and Treehouse's muscadine wines are still my favorites! As a native North Carolinian, I don't think I could ever hate those delicious sweet grapes! read more

Really disappointed with our experience at this place. We signed up for a Valentine's dinner and paid $30 per person for a meal that included Salisbury steak or chicken with cornbread or biscuit, salad, green beans, and a mini cupcake for dessert. Everything was self serve with a line that included us standing outside for a good portion of the wait. Mind you, it was below freezing and we all froze our butts off waiting in line. They crammed everyone in this tent outside and unless you were lucky enough to be assigned a seat beneath the heaters you froze the whole meal. We ate with plastic plates and plastic eating utensils with a clear plastic cup for your one little portion of wine that was included. This whole event felt like an attempt to do everything as cheap as possible and not give any real value for the $60 spent for each couple to eat. They could've at least had one person go around and collect your trash once you were done eating but no, it just piled up on your table until you saw an opportunity to maneuver through the overcrowded area to the trash can. The wine was fine, no complaint with it but nothing super special either. We regret spending our Valentines evening at this place and are certainly hesitant to return. read more

The experience was lovely... Except for the room that was set up like a museum of the persecution of Jews. I understand it is a family run business, and they have the right to display anything they like, however when we arrived we were very put off and surprised by this entire room dedicated to the religious war Jews have had thrust upon them by other cultures. We were there to celebrate a special occasion, and the photos of Jews being marched to Auschwitz and the list of "Jewish vs Muslim Nobel Prize Winners" made us feel very uncomfortable. I'm not saying they shouldn't display their heritage, but they should DEFINITELY post a warning on their site to let the public know that they are displaying possibly controversial images. The fact that there is no reference to this display on their site makes me feel like they are trying to bombard us with their politics. I won't go there again, simply because I feel they aren't being honest in their advertisements...which is a shame, because the treehouse was lovely and the staff seemed knowledgable and courteous. read more

I have visited the Treehouse Vineyard twice over the summer of 2013 and I only have raves about their family operation, the history behind the place and the wines! The tour was impressive and proved how hard work and determination and the willingness to pursue ones' dreams do come to fruition for the whole family! :-) Perfect for a romantic rendezvous, fun girls outing, family & kids to picnic and enjoy the serenity of the vineyard. I love the Treehouse Vineyards so much that I would not change anything about it, except I wish they would build on a place that serves food. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, acres of vineyards, a pond, shade trees, swings, covered decks and wonderful wine. The old treehouse is right beside the small deck and the deck has rocking chairs and several tables and chairs. They have just added a 40 x 40 covered patio, plus another one that is covered by a tent cover. Each section has tables and chairs and seats many people. I love their wine, the white, red and the winearitas are fabulous. You can buy the kit and make your own. It even comes with a huge baggie for your freezor. I have been there at different times during the day and there are always visitors having a wine tasting. We recently had our HS reunion there and everyone loved it. Dianne and Phil Nordon are the wonderful owners and welcome you with open arms. The new treehouse, near the pond, is booked up until next year, so that tells you how popular this place is. The store also has jewerly, including rings, earrings and necklaces, along with wine glasses, hats, wine, napkins, sweat and tee shirts. Their dried okra is something to behold as are the other snacks they have. Many people just come and sit or walk around the grounds, it is that beautiful. It's a place where you could go for lunch, but pack your own, and just chill out for an hour or so. That is where my only thing I would change comes in. I wish they served sandwiches and chips and I'd be a happy camper. I forgot to add that every weekend they have live music and serve food such as gourmet hot dogs, egg rolls, etc. If you are ever in Monroe, it is a must that you visit the Treehouse Vineyards.
