The food is good but the meatless proteins really didn't taste much different (veggie steak and veggie chicken). Very nice portions nonetheless.

For the proteins, he showed me everything and recommended the veggie chicken or the veggie beef. I chose the chicken and my husband chose the beef. The chicken tasted like it was in a jerk sauce and I think the beef was in a pepper...

steak type sauce. Both were delicious. I also chose the prawn as my other protein, it is made from arrowroot and is more of a starch than a protein but it was really good and was in a very tasty curry sauce. Overall, food was great here and I love how friendly the guy was. There were a bunch of people that came through as we sat there and ate, most of which seemed like regulars. You know a restaurant is good when someone tells you they come here for lunch every day!

The food here was pretty good. The older gentleman that served the food was pretty polite and he gave a good amount. The only thing I was not a fan of was the new location and it's presentation. I'm a stickler when it comes to cleanliness and sanitation. I'm not saying it was not clean, it just wasn't presentable enough for my liking. I did give the food a try because it has always been on my must try list, so that box is checked. I Just wish it was at a better location. .

My wife and I came here for lunch today and both really loved the food. My wife wasn't sure if it was fully vegan, but it is. Most of the proteins are soy based but they also have other options. We were fortunate to be able to try a lot of what they had available. My favorite was the Veggie Beef and the Ital Stew. The Rasta Pasta was also pretty good. Overall great food, great service and great price. We will definitely be back if we're ever in the area again.

Nice spot for homemade creative vegan food. I got the rasta pasta collard greens and chikn. All was pretty good and tasty for about 8 bucks on lunch special. The service is nice quick and attentive. O knocked off a star for organization. It just seems so hectic in there people coming in and out standing by waiting for food, one person in the back without a mask on handling food, bringing it to the kitchen. No gloves were used to spoon up and box my food. These important things at this time need to be addressed before i feel fully comfortable going back. They deserve a decent review because i know everyone is trying to get used to how things are now but it should be known, recognized and addressed.

TLDNR Really nice Rasta Style Vegan Restaurant. They have 2 locations. The place we visited was located on Hallandale Beach Blvd., just east of 441. The Food was fantastic. The interior leaves a lot to be desired for a restaurant. ____________________ The interior is very unusual. The place looks like everything was thrown all over the place. They seem to do a lot more togo orders, since the atmosphere is lacking. I was not expecting white table clothes, but this place was a mess. Now for the food... the best plant-based food I have eaten out. The food was spectacular and large portions. Now this place has many vegan dishes on the menu, however they also sell fried snapper. My wife and I split the large combo with three types of protein (steak style, chicken style, and a tofu,soy dish). The flavors were off the charts, we loved all three. The meal also came with brown rice and peas (red beans, Jamaican style), and mixed vegetables. The meal was large enough to share for only $12.99 + tax. We sat outside on the patio and it was a very pleasant. They have a large selection of fresh fruit drinks. There is no table service and it was hard for me to hear and understand the sever behind the counter. He found it funny that I did not understand that he was telling me that had a patio and wife had to translate for me. He found it necessary to joke with the the cook about how I was not able to hear him. I explained to him that I had a hearing loss. I give them 5 stars for the food and 3 stars for the interior and service. We will definitely go back. Next time we will probably take our food to go. If you can get past the way this place looks, I think you will enjoy the food as much as we did.

Treelion may just be my favorite vegan restaurant in south Florida. I haven't actually been in about 5/6 years but today I ordered delivery and lord it is so amazing. Just as good as I remember. Dang! Soooo good and so healthy! My husband and I were on our way to an appointment down the street and planned on stopping somewhere else for lunch but ended up here. I'm so glad we got to try somewhere new though! When we walked in, there were a few people in line but everything went pretty quickly. I had to slow up the process by letting the guy know I'd never been here before and asking what everything was but he was more than friendly and showed/ explained everything to me. Luckily there was only one other person behind me. My husband and I both decided to get the medium size box which comes with two "proteins", a starch and calaloo. The 3 sizes are small for around $8, medium for around $11 and large for a couple dollars more (large comes with 3 "proteins"). They also have fresh juice but when we arrived there was only Apple Ginger, Pineapple Ginger, and Hibiscus Ginger. We decided on the hibiscus, which was lightly sweetened with sugar but quite spicy from the ginger. For my mean choice, I was so indecisive but he let me have a little bit of all of the boiled veggies/starches which are boiled plantains, boiled Jamaican yam & potato and boiled dumplings. I love trying new vegan restaurants , browsing through yelp I came across this place. I arrived it is very ma and pa kind of restaurant. I had no idea what I wanted, so I requested the guy to decide for me. I had vegan steak/ fish, then I had collard greens and pasta. It was a lunch special for all that food 11 dollars. Great vegan food that is AFFORDABLE! Service was great! I'd stop in whenever I'm working in West Hollywood.

I recently started a plant based diet. It is difficult to find vegan food that tastes good. I stumbled upon Treelion and was pleasantly surprised. From the outside you may have second thoughts on entering but please do! The food is amazing! So full in flavor and taste. I ordered the vegan chicken, with curry stew! The portion was huge also and the price was great. I find eating vegan can be expensive but the prices at Treelion are super affordable and everyone who works here is very pleasant and helpful.

I recently purchased a take out platter. When the server asked me what I wanted I told him to give me something that everyone loves & will make me come back. The food is vegan & as a pescatarian I try to eat plant based food as much as possible. I'm not sure what I had but, the rice was extremely dry & there wasn't much seasoning. So I eat mainly a plant-based diet and I found this gem in Miramar. Upon walking in I truly loved the rustic vibe, the color and ambiance made me feel like I'd just made a right strait into Jamaica! So I had the vegan steak, (not a big fan of soy products) the flavor was amazing and the variety of the lunch special I got was perfect. To all my non-soy friends don't worry they have Soy Free options which I will try next time. I also had a spinach party that tasted very natural and healthy. I'm so glad we found this small place recommended on Yelp. We're both vegan, and love trying new food we can't get back home. We had the "steak" and "fish" and both were delicious but the steak was our favorite. The calaloo and rice and peas were great. Our favorite, though, was the Jamaican patty - yum! Treelion is a delightful, truly Jamaican style restaurant set back in the trees! Dining is very casual with a choice of indoor tables or outdoor tables in a naturalistic, subtropical setting. I definitely will be coming back here to taste the rest they have to offer. I let the gentleman being the counter know it was my first time and also my first week going vegetarian and he picked out a lunch special for me (brown rice with lentils, falafel, avocado, chickpea stew, and some kind of pasta). The chickpea stew was so delicious that I'm coming back for dinner for that. The meal was so tasty and the final touch of the pineapple ginger drink was refreshing. I discovered this little gem via uber eats. Wanted something filling, tasty, and healthy so I did some research on yelp and ordered the pepper steak with the Rasta pasta and vegetable stir fry. By far the most tastiest vegetarian dish I've ever had! I did order a coconut water and side of wheat festival but they were out of stock. Someone called me to see if I wanted to swap it out for something else. Which was very kind of them because some places just won't give you the item or they give you the next closest thing. Anyways, the guy on the phone suggested the banana bread. I hate bananas by the way so I gave it a try and it was super tasty and healthy also. I would definitely recommend! read more

This is a place of MIRACLES! I always stop by to get their natural juices at least three to drink it the next day. Today I woke up suffering from terrible upset stomach and I couldn't eat anything because it made it worse; so since their juices are natural freshly made stopped by (10:30pm) and the man behind the counter was very sweet & informative about the stuff they have and recommended me to try the Ginger Lion Juice since Ginger is good for upset stomach.....Oh Loooorrrrrd! This is definitely a hidden gem. When we first got there the place looked simple, not highly decorated, it wasn't crowded at the time that I went, nothing fancy really. The food however, spoke wonders about this place. It was both tasty and well thought out. I recently became a vegan, and have a hard time finding substitutes for foods that are actually tasty most places offer mediocre food that taste like cardboard, but this place has great tasting items which will make you change your mind about being a vegan. Let's get REAL about this place. It's a shag. A hole in the wall. No air conditioning. It's in a cheap, run down neighborhood. From the looks of it, they have been there a while, so the rent/mortgage must be dirt cheap. There are NO menus available with prices. There is a "menu" written on small blackboard with NO prices. They can charge you anything they want and boy, do they ever. You cannot see the register while he is punching numbers in it. They charged me $13 for 2 small juice bottles and an empanada look-alike patty stuffed with spinach. We came with a restaurant.com certificate that they refused to honor. We wanted to purchase smoothies. We had to wait for the owner to show up and tell us he wasn't making smoothies today. I can't comment on the food much because I only tasted the patty. ASK HOW MUCH IS EVERY DISH OR DRINK BEFORE YOU BUY IT. OTHERWISE, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!! read more

The worst service ever as far as vegan ital food restaurant goes. Better service @ the location in Miami Gardens. The Hallandale location however is horrible save your money please don't support. They are rude food is horrible and service trash. They need to really step up their game. Very disrespectful and not operated like a real Restaraunt..... read more

I come here for lunch at least once a week, sometimes more than once lol. Food is always good and reasonably priced and VEGAN! They offer a lunch special which is served between 12-3 and is about $7. Regular combos (small and large) are always available. Servings are always a good portion. You can't go wrong with this spot! And the juices are great too - particularly the passion lion. read more

Kind of disappointed! The customer service was AMAZING but the food was very bland. The Callaloo was undercooked and unseasoned. Rice didn't have seasoning. Yams and banana was still hard. Highly disappointed since I'm was truly excited to come and eat read more

"Jah Rastafari ! " What does that mean exactly? Its similar to "ami to fo" or namaste etc, it's the general greeting Rastafarians use to hail each other. There's also some other interesting greetings like "Emannuel I", "Selassie I", "Judah" or "Binghi", and a few others depending on which Rastafarian sect they belong to. When I was growing up I always had at least one Rastafarian friend. But I never thought on my life that I would see a some what ostracized local Jamaican religion like Rastafari take root around of the world. Much less be ranked 21st largest religion in the world. Which brings me to what tags along with the exportation of Rastafari. Its not just reggae & marijuana, but also their vegetarian/vegan based diet called "I-tal", which typically excludes salt. I've passed by Treelion many times and had no idea it was there. But one day this dude I know told me about Treelion and I was determined to check it out. In Jamaica you could easily pass by one of these Rasta I-tal cafes and never know, typically they are a shack or some kind of bamboo structure. But if you find one, you would have tried some of the best tasting vegetarian food you will ever have in your life. Treelion definitely lived up to the hype, for $9 I got a plate of seasoned rice, a tasty boiled dumpling, delicious pasta, seasoned spicy callaloo(Jamaican spinach) and some flavorful sweet & sour chik'n(vegetarian chicken). I must say that the food here is amazing. I had their Passion Lion juice and their Pineapple/Ginger Lion juice and all of it was good. As for food I had the Rasta Pasta with veggie steak and all of it was fire. Would definitely come back. read more
