Had the roti. Exceptional food. Healthy, fresh & flavorful. Friendly atmosphere. A vegan oasis. Looking forward to the next visit.

Being of Trinidadian descent, I'm always ready for some good Trini food whenever I'm in a city that…read morehas a spot! This establishment was huge, with a full bar, plenty of indoor seating, a separate carryout section, and outdoor seating as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and provided quick service. The menu had a great variety, offering everything from traditional main dishes to desserts and beverages. I ordered two doubles, which were okay--I've definitely had better--but the sweet bread was delicious! My sister had the pholourie, and my mom ordered the goat roti. The roti was filling but a little too spicy, even for us, and we definitely like some heat! Unfortunately, her cassava pone was a bit dry. Overall, there were some hits and a few misses, but there's plenty more on the menu I'd like to try. I'm sure I'll be returning for more Trini delights!

The waitress (she was black and had a short pony tail and she was big too) did not greet us, looked very uninterested when taking our orders , seemed very moody and when I said " I want to order ......." She replied very coldly "WITH WHAT?" And looked at me with big threatening eyes. When she placed the orders on our table, I said thank you but she did not even respond back to me. No spoons , no fork , no plates , absolutely nothing. We were sitting at our table with the food with no utensils. I had to go up front and grab everything myself. The waitress did not even come back to check on us. She took our orders and left , that's it. Honestly, owners can do better with training these ladies running the businesses. Very poor service. We will not be coming back.

They have a variety of stewed meats for roti meals and sides like mashed pumpkin, potatoes, spinach and other veggies. Everything is uniquely seasoned and spiced. If you're not good with spicy foods, ask for anything with peppers to not include them. My husband ordered the stewed boneless chicken with paratha roti and pumpkin plus potatoes as sides. The roti was fresh and hot. The pumpkin was my favorite. The chicken was easy to eat and tasted good, not dry. The potatoes were soft. I got a double and it was amazing. Lots of tamarind flavor and some curry and cumin tastes. I love chickpeas and there were plenty of it stuffed inside. Gotta eat it quick or else the shell becomes soggy. I also ordered a bake and shark. First time trying it. The crispy texture of the fried fish plus the soft outer shell along with the lettuce and tomato all tasted delicious together. However, the fish was way too salty for me. After the first few bites, I couldn't eat anymore of it. My husband who has a much stronger taste palette even agreed it was on the salty side. Will definitely come back to try more items!

Walking into this restaurant was like stepping into a doubles stop in Trinidad. The decor, music, smells all brought back memories of my time there. The space is large and spacious and very well kept. Looking at their menu, they have great weekly lunch specials all for about $8.00 with weekend specials. The doubles were good. However, the bara was a little tough. We could tell it was reheated. Other than that, the channa, sauces and chutneys were yummy! Will be back to try the curries!

In the back near the counter was full bar sitting area. The young man that placed my order was very polite and patient as I ordered for the first time. I ordered a goat, a conch and a regular double along with a bake and salt fish. Everything came out hot and fresh. I decided to have a few bites before I left and was given a plate and utensils with the WiFi code. I sat with some of the regulars jamming to the music on my laptop and before you know it an hour had passed. Everything was amazing; full of flavor and just enough spice . If I had to pick a favorite it was the bake and salt fish. I'll be back to I try an actual meal next time because if this is what they put together for simple quick bites I can only imagine an actual meal.
