Our initial concerns about damage to our extensive landscaping, hardscape, and tile roofs were completely unfounded - nothing was harmed, and the entire site was left clean and decent. They arrived on time, ready to work. (John was here the whole time too). They removed 3 trees and 1 large bush. They also trimmed 5 other trees and ground all the stumps. On the same day! Mark, the TreePro arborist had come several weeks ago and assessed our needs. Ron drove a long ways to come look at a sick pine tree on my property. He diagnosed the problem quickly and did not charge me anything. He had some suggestions but they were all things I am capable of doing myself and he did not try to sell me anything. We have used this company twice and had great service each time. They are very knowledgeable. The owner is a certified Arborist. Their prices are fair and just. If you are expecting to have a company come in and cut the tree the way you think you want it to be done be prepared to learn why certain limbs should and should not be removed or left due to whats healthiest for the tree. In the long run you will be happy with the information they suggest and your trees will look that much better. EXCELLENT! I thoroughly researched and am extremely happy we hired TreePro for their expertise, professionalism and responsiveness. We had a big job: Removal of a huge 130 foot Monterey Pine and pruning of over a dozen other trees - big cedars, bay trees, junipers and an olive. Our property had been neglected for many years and was vastly overgrown and in need of light. Ron & John came to estimate, both certified arborists, their bid was competitive, thorough and they assured us that one of them would be on site during the duration of the work - 2-1/2 days. We actually had the expertise of both Ron and John throughout the entire job and their expertise helped guide us in our decisions. The whole crew of 6-8 were so hardworking, responsive and really looked like they enjoyed their work. It was a pleasure to work with people that listen and went out of their way to achieve the results we were looking for. The huge pine was very close to our neighbors' property and they took great care not to damage any fences or landscaping, an amazing job given that the tree was only a couple feet from the fences. They also cleaned up immaculately every night, extremely important on our street. End result - what was once a dark back garden is now filled with beautiful filtered light plus we now unexpectedly have a view! Tree was done beautifully and all debris was gone. They did a good clean up job and notification that they were coming in spite of the rain.

Had Tree Pro team out today to do some work. First of all, they responded to our call, scheduled an appointment and showed up. Sounds like that should be expected , and it is, but other companies we contacted could not manage to do that, The team showed up with top notch equipment, and did a great job. The clean up was immaculate and they really watched our for our plants around the tree. They are competitively priced. I would use them again and recommend them for sure ! read more

We couldn't believe how quickly they removed the trees and the debris. You couldn't tell they had been here because the cleanup was exceptional. I had a bit of an emergency with a broken branch on my neighbor's cable line, so I asked some friends for recommendations on tree service companies. I received several suggestions, and left messages with three of them in the morning/early afternoon, stating specifically my issue was urgent with some basic details. The following day I had not heard back from any of them, so I continued down my list. I called TreePro and left a message. Within about an hour I received a call back from Ron. He was at my place for the estimate within another hour, and back to do the work an hour after that. I was already impressed with his prompt response to my message, but after meeting him, and seeing the work he did, I was extremely happy none of those other companies got back to me. I used TreePro because I had to. I'll use them again because they are the best! Ron is professional and courteous, and the work he, and his crew, did was excellent! I am updating my review and revising my rating upward because this company did come thru in the end to make it right. When I called Ron in response to his reply to my review, he promptly send me a check for $200 to cover the cost of repairs to the fence. Still, I only give them 3 stars because they were not proactive...I had to track them down. In a case like this, I think that the tree guys should ask permission before they come onto someone's private property (particularly when it is in a backyard that is fenced in). I would also have appreciated it if they had apologized for the accident and explained what they were going to do about it (as it happens I was home when it happened and saw them on my property; but if no one was home, they could have left a note). read more

The owner came out promptly to give us an estimate which was quite reasonable for the amount of work to be done, scheduled his crew and then showed up on time (quite unusual for many Santa Rosa businesses)! The owner and crew were at our house for about 3 1/5 hours and restored our beautiful view of the valley and Mt. Diablo in the distance. I couldn't stop looking out our windows! I hired Tree Pro to remove a lot of very big trees in a steep area. They gave me a good bid, as was told to me by a friend who is an arborist, and who couldn't match their price. As it's currently raining (Ya-hoo), I decided to try an update a few things. I can't believe that I haven't Yelped on Tree Pro. We have used them for years as we were dopey enough to put in pines when we moved here. Ron and his crew are absolutely the best in the business. I can guarantee that when I call him, he will come out and do the best job for me. They have taken down mostly HUGE pines and cut them up so that we could then process them for firewood. Actually we haven't had to purchase firewood in over 25 years! I have watched other tree companies in the area, and Ron has the fastest and safest crew. Our neighbor contracted another tree company for some trim work and it took them a week! Ron's crew has taken down a humongous pine in 4 hours; that's cutting it down, shredding the small stuff and then cleanup and hauling away of what we don't want. Their cost is more than most, but you really do get what you pay for! A note: every darn tree needed to be started by hand as we have fences, sheds etc for them to work around. To do all this work and not damage one thing ever is truly amazing. read more

If I could give Ron and his crew 10 stars, I would. We had a very large oak tree fall in our backyard so I had many tree companies come out to give me an estimate for it's removal. While Ron was here, he and one of his guys pointed out a dangerous situation in our front oak tree (a broken cable and in need of a trim). Ron wasn't the cheapest estimate (although all were pretty close), but he offered to trim the front tree and fix the cable for free. His crew showed up first thing in the morning, and all of them worked very hard all day. They were efficient, friendly, and they cleaned up after themselves each day that they were here. They took extra time to cut the back tree up in smaller pieces to remove on a much smaller side path rather than drive across our new grass in the back after all the rain. (All the other companies said they'd have to drive across the grass). They were all great and I would definitely recommend them! read more

I was really impressed with the work that tree pro did at my house. I had a very large deodar cedar in my small backyard that needed to be removed. I contacted tree pro through Yelp and receive a reply immediately. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate with them and three other companies. When John looked at the job the first thing he did was ask me about my yard. I had pavers installed a few years ago and he let me know that they break easily and that he didn't want to harm the patio. He came up with a plan to put tires on the pavers and then the brush from the tree to use as a cushion. He let me know that if there was a problem they would replace the pavers, but he really did not want to have to do that. None of the other companies addressed the issue until I Asked them about it. The bid they gave me was in the middle but the concern for my property convinced me to hire them. They did the work today, the crew was on time, friendly and professional. As promised they were careful and left the yard in great shape. Today was a rainy and windy day which made the job even more difficult. read more

Ron came out and gave me an estimate on pruning back my backyard oak tree which was hitting my roof. Even though their schedule was very packed they were able to quickly squeeze me in the following week. The guys were in and out very quickly and did a great job trimming my oak and cleaning everything up. I now do not have to worry about any roof damage from my oak, yet it is still shading the back of my house which is great during the summer. I was very happy with the price as well. We've had TreePro out to our place in the past, and have had good results with their work. So when we noticed that a limb had broken off our large eucalyptus tree, and was balanced high above an area where kids sometimes play, we called Ron. He was out here in a half an hour and wrote up a reasonable estimate, which we accepted. Called Ron again this year because they have done such good work for me in prior years. He said he would come by and look my sick trees to give me his opinions and job estimates. We set up a date and I left my gate unlocked so he had access to my yard, but he didn't show. I called and he said he had got stuck working on fallen trees (it happens, I'm fine with that). We set up another time a few days later, I again left my gate unlocked but he was a no show. I called him, and he said he was stuck in Oakmont, but he could come by in a few days. Sadly the same thing, no show. This time when I called he sounded kinda irritated that I called. Granted I might just have called at a bad time, we have all experienced that. I honestly cant say whether he was telling me he had to get back to work, or someone working for him should get back to work, but he couldn't even tell me when he thought he could fit me in. His final words were that he would 'be in touch'. A week has gone by and nothing, so now I'm trying to find help elsewhere. I like Ron and I cant fault the work he has done for me in the past, but that last call left me feeling dismissed. Things happen, emergencies crop up, but to me my sick trees are an issue, and it would have been nice to get calls when he couldn't come by, and perhaps offer me a possible future date. There again perhaps its just me having unreasonable expectations. read more
