What an adventure! My 8 year old son, wife, and I came to Treetop Quest Gwinnett on a sunny Saturday afternoon and had a blast for 2 and a half hours. Wife opted out of the adventure actually so she took some pictures and just hung out while my boy and I went through obstacles and zip line adventures. The courses are great for confidence building and father son bonding time and the courses are challenging enough to keep a child engaged and having a great experience throughout the time spent on the courses. Levels 1, 2, and 3 are age appropriate for kids (2 and 3 being 7+ year olds respectively). They start you off on a practice course which is good for beginners who are learning how to operate the buckles and getting onto the course and through the sometimes challenging swivel plates and points. My son had a bit of a hard time getting through some alone so going with a parent or older guardian is recommended as younger kids can get stuck and need some support. We began from level 2 as we couldn't find level 1 initially so it was fun and challenging right from the get go! Level 2 is a combination of obstacles and zip lining. Level 3 is appropriately labeled all fun and no work as it's a series of zip lines. Level 3 low was our favorite course while level 3 high was fun but had a portion towards the end that was a challenge as we had to unhook our connectors a few times to advance through the zip line. My son is on the smaller side so we had to get creative to disconnect. Also, on a few zip lines it says to stand up quickly which is important as it is possible to go backwards if you don't complete the zip line completely which poses a bit of a challenge as well. I had to go a few times after my son when he got stuck to get him to the other side by colliding into him and pushing him to the other side of the zip line. It all added to the adventure and excitement of the excellent courses. Treetop Quest Gwinnett is conveniently located in Buford so it was only a short 10 minutes drive from our home which was nice. We came before the crowds arrived which was early pm (12:30) which is when I recommend to come as crowds can cause wait times between each course. Overall, an excellent way to spend a few hours and to create memories with your kids and family. I plan to return with my older son as well as levels 4, and 5 are for 12+ year olds and is marked with challenging! This is a review of Treetop Quest, but also a review of one staff member in particular, named Peyton. TREETOP QUEST REVIEW: It's fantastic and great fun with total independence! STAFF MEMBER PEYTON REVIEW: This guy is a true gem. I suppose I misunderstood the structure of the place, thinking I could just book my seven year old and watch from the ground, and that like zip line places near Helen, there would be a guide for a group, going platform to platform. This place is fully independent, so she went on her own. She had trouble with the C clip, getting it from line to line, around trees. Peyton hopped up there when my ground instructions proved useless, but didn't just give her instructions. He TAUGHT her. He made her UNDERSTAND. He did so in a way that wasn't condescending, but led her to understand how it worked, strategies to employ, like an expert teacher. He relieved her frustration from the start, gave her confidence, and got her excited about being fully independent up in these trees. The next hour and a half was wonderful fun for both my daughter and for me, watching from the ground. And then she got stuck. She was on a zip line, well above the ground, and didn't make it to the platform. I tried to get her to go hand over fist to the platform, but she didn't have the upper body strength to get to the platform. Peyton sprang to action, without request, and went along the course to get to her. He pulled her to the platform and chatted with her for a long time. After she got down, instead of the frustration and tears I feared, she was beaming. "I made a new friend!" she declared, speaking of Peyton. She told me they talked about her school, how she has lots of friends, about our dog, and more. It was a great end to the day. But Peyton wasn't done. He radioed in to the "deck" so when she arrived to get her harness off, someone was there to give her some stickers. We talked about how much fun she had at Treetop Quest, how high she got, how she went on huge zip lines on her own, but she kept bringing up her new friend Peyton. He made her day and her experience. Family-friendly event but also made for a great BFF day date. We went in the beginning of March after they had recently opened for the season and I loved how it was not crowded. You get a quick introduction on how to use the equipment and then you are off and can choose what levels you want to do. We started with level 1 and I found it intimidating at the very beginning but as soon as I started to conquer obstacles I quickly wanted to advance to more difficult ones. Some of the levels are lower to the ground and some are higher up. We ended up doing levels 1-4 and decided not to test our luck with level 5 since we had certainly gotten our fill of challenge by that point. Level 3 is mostly zip lines and level 4 ends with a free fall but you can choose to go down a ladder instead if you can't work up the courage (the free fall is super slow and only intimidating when you make the initial leap off the platform). We got to go at our own pace and choose which levels we felt comfortable with. The staff was nice and helpful but once you are up in the trees you are on your own (unless you have to yell for help from down below). They had a covered pavilion where non-participants could hang out. I did not notice the sale of any food or drinks and it appeared there was only a port-a-potty available. The Gwinnett Environmental Center is across the parking lot so I'm sure their facilities could be used as well. Made for a fun outing and if it weren't so expensive I would definitely want to return. read more

My daughter went with her friends and she had a blast!! She was very nervous at first but once she started going she did great!! We had a group of about 10 so everyone was able to break off into groups to enjoy different levels which was great! Friendly staff. It was really hot out so if you go during the summer months be prepared for that as well as knowing they don't have many refreshments or food. read more

We love this place.. Caters to both kids and adults.. Zip lining in the middle of crowded Buford next to Mall of GA.. Customer Service was great.. Out initial booking had to take a rain check as there was lightning in the area and safety is their top priority.. But Zack told us that we could schedule any day and just give us a call for the same.. A basic training is provided for both the kids and the adults as its a self guided course.. We were able to complete 3 levels in about 2 hours after taking turns with looking after the little ones in the smaller courses.. The big trees provided plenty of shade even though it was in the upper 90s at 4pm in the evening.. Ziplines are not long but good enough in the area they are setup in and combined with the obstacles it gives a adrenaline rush in between. Will be going back again to complete Level 4 and Level 5.. read more

The kids have allot of fun but if you have a party there be prepared to do all of the work yourself. This is not like having a party at a regular party venue. You will not have a dedicated host. We reserved tables for an additional $70 which was supposed to include additional snacks but we never received them. Also, the closest restroom is a port o potty. There is apparently a real restroom a quarter mile down the trail but if you have little kids it is unlikely that you will make it a quarter mile before having to change outfits. There are the bathrooms in the Heritage center but that is also a bit of a walk and when they close you are out of luck. I gave 3 stars because the staff is nice, they make sure the kids are safe, and the kids love it. read more

What an exhilarating experience! My 9 year old daughter was invited to Treetop Quest Gwinnett for one of her classmate's birthday party. We were instructed to arrive early for training. One of the staff members called our group over, suited us up with our equipment, and ensured that each of us clearly understood how to use the equipment. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and clearly concerned for our safety. There are 5 levels of courses. My daughter and her friends were only able to do the first three. You must be at least 12 years old to do Levels 4 and 5. I started on Level 2 and let me tell you, it was challenging. I consider myself a thrill seeker and I'd almost put this up there with sky diving. It was extremely fun and very thrilling! We were there for about 3 hours and I didn't have a chance to complete all of the courses. I'm not mad though. It was a workout and I was kind of worn out. Plus, I definitely plan on going back and look forward to my next visit. If there are any cons, it would be that: (1) it is kind of pricey (although I feel it was still worth it); (2) it isn't open year round; (3) I believe that you are typically only allotted 2 - 2.5 hours to complete all of the courses; (4) I wouldn't recommend it if you're afraid of heights; and (5) there are no bathroom facilities, just a port-a-potty. I'm really surprised that more people don't know about this place, it's awesome! read more

Do not believe anything about their COVID "precautions." They do not even remotely enforce the mask policy they claim to have. Rules are generally not followed (social distancing, only people from your group on a platform, no running, etc) and staff doesn't care. Great time for all! A challenge for the adults and children alike . We came to celebrate the adorable Kerry's birthday. It was even more fun than our usual Saturday gym workout! I had a little "misstep" on course 4 and was "rescued" by Alex. All in a days work for him! Luckily my friends encouraged me on so I could finish a champion! Come here and challenge yourself. They closed down their adventure park due to rain today. They will not refund your money. They state their policy protects them from having to do so. This is a very poor business practice. You will have to work with your credit card company to get your money back. Honestly, if they act like this, it's probably best to go somewhere else that's more customer friendly. People work hard for their money and don't expect a company to deny a refund when they closed the park themselves. read more

we had my son birthday there yesterday, I was a little worried because of the coming storm, I called that day and Carolyn ( she is the best by the way ) told me they don t expect to close the place but I am welcome to reschedule if I wanted to. We had a total of 9 boys from age 6 to 9 and they all had a blast :-) The youngest kids did the chick peas and the others boys went to level 3 with a lot ziplines ! This place is great and gets better every time I come. This is the place for a date because you will know if she can handle all the trouble that will come in a relationship if she can do level 5. Level 5 is zip lines, net climbing, pole swinging (no not a strip club), and wire crossing. If you don't want to zip line you can always go inside the detective quest and play a copper for a moment to solve a crime. Definitely do the treetop quest though, even at level 3 you will have a good time swinging from tree to tree. read more

We had a blast! Took the whole family for my daughter's birthday. This was a whole body work out!!! They have obstacle courses by levels. Levels 1 through 3 you have to be 7 years and up and levels 4 through 5 you need to be 12 and up. Had a blast and the people are real helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit there. I especially like how you are taught how to safely secure yourself with the clips and can do the obstacles and zip lines your self. My eight year old nephew loved it! The big trees provided plenty shade all day. read more

We LOVE Treetop Quest. Our little girls had a blast climbing and zipping through the trees. They were just barely old enough for the regular courses and thought the zip lines were so cool. The harness and locking mechanisms were a little tricky for them to use, but with some help from their dad and I we moved at a pretty steady pace. Safety was a number one priority as a mom and I never felt the kids were in danger thanks to the twitzle system they have in place. And it was FUN! read more

My husband and I took our 7-year-old niece for her birthday and had a great time! We checked in and waited a few minutes until we were called promptly at our reservation time. From there we were fitted into harnesses with a big group and given group instructions. Then we lined up for the short practice course. Our little one was really scared of the zip line- which you are supposed to just kind of jump and go- but the instructor was super patient and encouraging, and taught me how I could help her go a little more gently. Once on the real course, she was apprehensive at first, but after a few zip lines was begging for more! Now she can't wait until she can go on higher levels in a few years! The staff really did a great job. We didn't need any help while in the air, but almost always had a staff member in sight and saw them help out other folks when called. (That said- there's no way I would have sent the 7-year-old up by herself). Overall a great experience that exceeded expectations! read more

I went to Treetop Quest with a party of 10, with ages from 5-40. Everyone had a great time, and we ended up staying for several hours and going through all the courses. As it was my first time there, I was expecting it to be tailored only towards children, and to not have challenging courses for adults. I was wrong - level 5 is pretty tough and can certainly give even the adults a good workout! That being said, it's obvious they designed the courses with safety in mind, and not a single person in our party felt like we were at risk (even the overprotective parents in our group did not worry about their children). You're forced to always be tied into the course, so there's not much to worry about in terms of falling! The staff was also very nice and attentive. They were happy to help with some of the more challenging obstacles when needed. And one staff member even had an adorable French accent! If you've never ziplined, you should definitely give this a try! Seems like it would also be a great place for a birthday party or even an outdoorsy date! read more

I, 55 years old & my friend 36, went to Treetop Quest in Gwinnett. It was a comfortable overcast day in early spring. I didn't know what to expect, so I reviewed a few videos to check-out what we were getting ourselves into. While reviewing them, I got more excited, but also a bit more scared since I'm not in tip top shape. Luckily, now knew there were different levels of courses for us to choose. I like a good challenge, but have a tendency to push myself too hard. I definitely wanted to push myself, but not be stupid. When we arrived, the setup of the facility was very clean, organized and had an overall good vibe. All the people working their were very knowledgeable, nice & helpful. The equipment was impressive and in great shape. They had gloves too, which were an absolute must. Once the staff got us hooked up properly, they reviewed the rules & how to operate the Tweezals (genius engineered equipment). Then we did a little test trial course. I felt very awkward, all thumbs and a bit flustered. But I got the hang of it soon after. I loved that I had to keep uber focused. The staff continued to monitor everyone through-out our adventure. Me and my friend started with level 2 Low & then went directly to 3 High. After that, we were ready for 4, but someone slipped on a wood step bridge on level 4 and the staff went over to her and she was lowered down to the ground. So, we skipped 4 and walked toward level 5 course. It was certainly more challenging, especially one of the steps. Whew! My heart raced. I got winded and felt a bit sick, but it was worth it and I certainty don't challenge myself like that often; my system was wondering wtf? We kept cheering each other on and continued to advise each other to go slow. We did it! Tomorrow, I might be sore, but I will be able to walk:) All in all, it was so much fun & a great workout. This would be so awesome for any type of relationship building. If I had a children, I would absolutely bring my whole family and do the course together. There were a few pods of kids doing the courses. They were being supportive, active and having fun without a cell phone in their hands. Refreshing. read more

This place is awesome, our 4 year old loved the kiddie course and the staff was very attentive. The only reason why I didn't give the place 5 stars is because they should have an in-between course for 5-6 year olds. It will be boring for my 4 year old to keep doing the same simple course until he is 7 years old. Aside from that, it's a pretty cool place. read more

Typically have had great experiences here and love going! The staff today was not as helpful as usual and actually seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else besides the park. Maybe just an off day and it was hot, but I'm a little hesitant to recommend or return for a while. I've actually sent this place lots of business over the years via word of mouth. Today, one staffer even directed me off of a course after I had started, bc I was past my time limit of 2.5 hours- maybe new policy or more rigid rule enforcement than in the past. Fair enough, but I've never had this happen here. I also don't wear a watch while zip lining, so who knew. They seemed in a hurry to close today. My family and another had paid extra for Spider Quest but were told that we hadn't paid then told that we had. I wasted about 10 minutes getting off of a course and trying to work that out for my son.Staff and manager seemed to have organizational and communication difficulties today. Another employee questioned my decision to wear a helmet, which I understood was not required and that's fine but also my personal choice to wear... again, they seemed to be worried about all the wrong things today. Poor experience for $174. Might try one more time or switch to Lake Lanier Canopy next time. read more

If you really wanna get a good sweat in, I definitely recommend this place! I'm from Los Angeles & we don't have this type of adventure in LA. With that being said, my sisters and I had a really hard time getting through obstacles. The good thing is that we pushed through! and after doing all levels, we felt accomplished. The obstacle that was hard for me was the swinging logs thingy on level 4. That was just plain horrible. The obstacle that was tiring is definitely the cargo net on level 5. I wasn't able to pull myself up anymore because my arms felt like jello so I got stuck. Fortunately, this nice guy was able to save me from that life threatening situation. i feel blessed. At times, I rather get stung by wasps than continue going through the obstacles. Overall, the experience was great! The staff was very nice and I guess motivating in a way. This place is great for anyone who loves challenges. You're also one step closer to getting those nice muscles you've always wanted ;) read more

Great exercise and fun for the family. Much better than spending time sitting in a movie theater. They have different level courses that give plenty of activity for people of all ages. Wish the prices were a bit cheaper as it gets expensive taking a family. There were a good number of people on the course but we never had to wait or felt rushed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We even had to get rescued off one of the toughest obstacles and the staff handled it professionally and even encouraged us to try multiple times even if it meant rescuing us each time we failed. We took a tween and a teenage girl who are very difficult to please and generally hate the outdoors -- but guess what, they loved it. read more
