I'm a little surprised at the relatively low overall rating, though it looks as though some had some pretty specific issues that others may not likely run into. Admittedly, I don't have too much to compare to as I've only done much smaller courses indoors. However, there are still 5 fairly large (IMO) courses) and it does largely require the advertised three hours. I think it's pretty good value for the experience, the relatively high staffing ratio and large course. There's quite a mix of obstacles in terms of crossing, so it's not simply repeating the same thing. All five courses each have their own zip line and some are a pretty good distance. I found staff very helpful and quite patient with everyone. You get about a 20 minute intro, but it's very much needed as you need to know how to hook yourself up safely and even set up on a zipline on your own (but they're there for the first one). I'll be honest, I did deliberately try and position myself near the start so I wouldn't be in the back of our cohort. You may want to consider doing the same, though it seems as though after a bit of time it spreads out pretty well. Note that the giant zipline that goes back and forth across the lake is an extra $18 or so. It's well worth it from my experience since you're travelling a few hundred meters (each way) and get the speed and distance you'd associate with a thrill ride. The ones in the course are still pretty fun though, especially when they're your first experiences. I was okay without gloves as I have fairly calloused hands, and I'm proud of my daughter for barely complaining though I could see they were a bit red when done. They should probably do a better job of suggesting it to people when purchasing tickets as I heard others expressing that they wished they had them. You hold onto cables virtually all times when crossing and at times there's a good amount of tension. Plus, for them, it's a wasted opportunity as they could probably make good money selling cheaper pairs. All that said, it doesn't affect my rating and I was fine personally. For me it made for a wonderful day and mixing: adventure, exercise and nature are right up my alley. A bit crazy that it took me so long to get to this place since it's so close, but very glad that I did. read more

Upon arriving at the parking lot we received a phone call informing us our zip-line reservation was cancelled due to high wind. But it was a beautiful day with barely a breeze. Thinking the call was a mistake we went to the check-in desk. They confirmed the zip-line had been cancelled, and offered us a credit or a VIP pass for a future date. We had taken a weekday afternoon off work and rented a car from Toronto to get there, so would be loosing more money by rescheduling. We asked for a complimentary upgrade of our reservation to the game-trek course, arguing it was unfair for them to inconvenience us for problems on their end. They refused to waive the token $14 upgrade cost, which seemed poor customer service considering the original reservation was $120. In not wanting to leave empty handed we agreed to pay extra for the game-trek. At least that course was interesting enough to salvage most of the unpleasantness we experienced earlier. read more

First time going to treetop trekking I have done something very similar but this one was great very challenging and enjoyable ! The staff was absolutely amazing especially Penny. He went out of his way to help us and we were very thankful as we got to finish the entire course plus the advance one, which is very challenging but highly rewarding once we finish ! Best Tarzan-like experience ever! Thank you for treetop trekking in offering a teacher's day. Although I'm afraid of heights this was a good way to over come my fears and try something active n out of the ordinary. We were welcomed by staff n to sign a few waivers. Then we received an introductory course on safety and how to use the equipment. We went on 4 courses and they all progressively became more difficult. If anyone was too scared or had difficulty finishing the course, the staff was so kind in offering guided verbal instructions, motivational words to help you n they had some staff join you on the course. I would most definitely come back to treetop trekking at another location. The experience made you feel like a kid again n it most definitely was a lot of fun. My friends and I had so much fun here. The first thing that happens after the initial sign in is putting on your gear and waiting to go in as a larger group. Once you go in, they take you through a short training course that really makes you feel comfortable to go through the courses. My favorite part of the training was the trust fall; basically you have to hang from the gear itself to know that there's no way that you will fall to the ground. Really gotta remember to trust yourself and the gear. There's different levels for the courses which you go from beginner to intermediate to advanced. Each course has a bit of zip lining; which was soooo fun. The staff here are very supportive to ensure you feel confident to go through the courses. There was a girl who got scared and began to cry while she was in the middle of a course. As soon as the staff were aware, they climbed up to her and helped her through the rest of the course. My favorite part was zip lining across the lake. This was an extra $15 but so worth it I highly recommend going here. About six of us came here for a fun day in the trees. We had lots of fun, but there are a few things that they could do a bit better. Cons: My friends were all late (jerks) which meant that instead of our planned 2pm start time, we had to wait for the next round of people and start at 3pm. We stood around for an hour while one person outfitted about 30-40 people with harnesses and helmets. Once that was done, we went to the orientation area where our guide showed us the ropes (ha). After that, EVERYONE had to do the orientation exercise, one by one. I get it. You want people to be comfortable at 3 feet before you bring them up to 30 feet. But this takes a LONG TIME with that many people, especially if you have people who seem like they totally don't even want to be doing this. We didn't get on to the course until maybe 4pm. Once on the course, it was a ton of fun. I like physical challenges and climbing all over stuff, so I had a great time. The courses get harder and harder as you go on, which was really neat. The first course felt super easy, while the last one was pretty challenging. It took us until 7pm to finish everything (closing time), and we didn't even do the extra course which would let you zip line across the lake. This is a really great time, but some tips: bring tons of water and snacks in a small backpack, and if you're not used to using your hands for stuff that isn't computer-based, bring some grippy gloves. I would go again, but I might take a day off and go on a non-weekend to hopefully beat some of the crowds. read more

Treetop Trekking Brampton was a blast for us. We planned a corporate event at this location which ran very smooth. Once we got there we were explained all the rules and regulation and were quickly setup for the training session. The training was good and they even make you fall, so they can train you on how to lift yourself up. All Staff members were very friendly and sociable. We played able to try 3 treks within the booked time and let me tell you it was a blast. The treks were well designed and able to finished by even beginners. Wear flexible clothes and shoes. Very awesome. Had so much fun and felt like a kid again. The guides really make this place enjoyable as they are so friendly and easy to talk to. I recommend this place to all my friends to try. Most games weren't too difficult but still fun. Once you settle down you realize how great the view are from up in the tree. Especially in October. They say to bring a back pack for snacks and such but the parking lot isn't too far so you don't have to lug around your backpack. I am not a big fan. I have done a lot of adventure activities in various countries... so i was excited to see an activity center in ontario. First,the name is very misleading... Its called Zipline and aerial games... but zipline here is a secondary thing.. the games are mostly aerial games...which i dont enjoy as it is not that fun for me.... Second... a place like this, has got to provide yoy with Gloves!!! Its rediculous not to!!!! My hands and arms were hurting for two days... It is definitely an activity for all ages, except for people with fear of heights. As the courses do get higher and higher up the trees as it progresses. All the courses include a serious of games and zip-lining. I do not do a lot of physical activities on a regular basis, but the games are manageable at the same time challenging! Zip-lining across the lake was definitely a highlight! We really enjoyed ourselves! :) We took around 3 hours to finish the courses, will definitely recommend to friends and family! Booked this excursion for a friend and I. The day ended up being thunderstorms all day so we called ahead to reschedule and they were all good with that. Cane back the next weekend and was all set to complete the games. The staff are very well organized and informative. They are really always enthusiastic and pumping you up. They are all about safety and make sure you are following the property procedures and safety measures. During our orientation, our instructor went very fast and I feel like he rushed through the procedures and rules. If it was ot my second time here I would have been very confused. I decided to go at the end of the line because I was getting nervous. During my first game (beginner game) I was very very scared and almost chickened out. I pushed myself to complete the game slowly. When I was finally finished, I told the instructor I can't go anymore..... he was friendly and listened to my concerns. He also assured me that I could do it and to try my best. He was patient and said I could take a break or keep going at my own leisure. This helped me continue to the next 1. Came here on a friday afternoom with my family. We decided to go here while we were in the country. This place is really fun. If you are not active, do not come here! The courses will tire you out but it is well worth the $62. It took us 3 house to complete all the courses including the advanced one. Hi - Total disappointment. First off, we arrived at the desk at entry and it was unattended for 20 minutes. We arrived 10 minutes early and eventually left 10 minutes after our appointment to find there was a second location about 500 meters away. No signs were posted telling us to continue. The Horseshoe staff told us to go upstairs...which was totally ridiculous because that was locked up. Eventually we called the central office and was squared away and arrived 15 min late. The website makes it seems like the ropes courses cater to kids and families. But the restrictions for children 11 and under are significant. We were at the Horseshoe location. Our 11 year old could only do 3 of the 5 courses. I read the restrictions on the Horseshoe website and it looks there like you only need to be 9 to avoid restrictions. But when you go to pay you get transferred to a 3rd party website that posts more detailed restrictions about kids 9-11 (which I did not read...as I thought I already read about them on the Horseshoe site). Even on the 'trekkeing website' it just says 'restricted from using advanced courses...without posting what those restrictions are). Long and short, the first 3 courses are crowded and quite simple. So when we tried to advance to the 4th course (which our first guide told us our 11 year old course do and he was only restricted from the 5th course) we were surprised that a different guide halted us and said we couldn't do the 4th or 5th courses. So our day was halted about 1.5 hours in. The guides also told us our 11 year old could not do the mega zip - which the website suggests anyone over 8 meeting the weight restrictions can do. I had previously done Tree Top Trekking in Barrie, in 2010, so when I went back to their website I was pleased to see parks open much closer to home. Brampton is the easiest of the courses, which is great, because my memory of Barrie was definitely of a challenge. The course itself in spring is pretty ugly. No leaves on the trees, a parking lot right nearby. They don't sell you water or food, so no joke, bring some. And maybe hand sanitizer or baby wipes too, unless you buy gloves, which I highly highly recommend, even if the front desk staff advise you against it. The course is fun, tough and a great work out. Staff was very hands off, leaving you to figure it out at points where you might wish for a hand. There were about three challenges I almost didn't make it through, otherwise they were fairly straightforward. Keep in mind the Big Zip costs extra money, not included in the price. I wish they'd told us this over the phone upon booking. I also wish they'd sold us a later time, instead telling me that was all they had but when we were running late and called to let them know, they said there were times after us so no problem! When we arrived at tree top trekking Brampton we were told that one of the tree top course is closed just after we paid full rates..we asked for refund but we were told no refund can be made..I was not really impressed with the way Maggie responded to our request for refund...then I called tree top trekking Stouffville and they had same day spot available so they managed to move the reservation to Stouffville but only transferred for 2 adults instead of original 2 adults and 2 Kids...very chaotic organization... Stouffville tree top trekking lining includes zip line but in Brampton you have to pay extra...not a happy customer for Brampton... read more

Soooo much fun! This was my first experience with treetop trekking and zip lining. I loved every minute of it. We had the opportunity to experience four of the courses, some were definitely more challenging than others. They got harder as we went..didn't help that it was uber windy!!! It's a decent workout, great way to get out and have some fun with friends or co-workers for a couple hours. The guides were great, very thorough in their explanations and made sure that we felt comfortable throughout the course. Initially fear set in because I have a slight fear of heights but once you are up in the trees going through the course I forgot about it. Unfortunately the course across the lake was closed because it was too windy :( I would have loved to have experience the long zip line across the lake. They helped/watched everyone throughout the practice courses (orientation, beginner, intermediate, and advanced). This was certainly a challenging course! It was really fun just make sure to bring a water bottle or drink in excess before going up (Especially when its hot out). There are three different courses, beginner, intermediate and advanced. If you are afraid of heights this is not for you! Even I have a slightly fear and found it tough at some points (you have to look down to get your footing). The slowest and most painful part is when you are practicing to go up and even in the beginner course things are slow. We could have made it through the course much faster if it weren't for the slow people in front of us! It was still a great time I highly recommend it! Tip: Make sure to be at the front of the line when you are practicing, otherwise you will be waiting so long to do the obstacles. read more

I think this location is pretty good, especially the last course that you get to zip lining across the lake . i went twice to this location, but last time i went i was so disappointed because the last course was out of order or something, so we can only do others one. i was so looking forward for the last time, but they gave us like a ticket or pass so when the last course is fixed we can use that pass to just play the last course. Something i didnt like was they didnt mention to us before we go or the time we book. because if i knew the last course was out of order i would have just cancel it or rebook it for another day. Even they gave us a pass at the end, but i would not want to travel all the way to there just for that 10mins course!! Overall everything is great and people are great too. so i recommend make sure you ask them all the courses are working fine before u go or before u book it! read more
